Hi everyone. A Question mainly for Colin given he’s brought it up a few times lately when discussing Alan Wake, but others can chime in if they’ve played it, but have you fully played through Deadly Premonition? With how much you liked Alan Wake I feel like you’d enjoy Deadly Premonition. If you have played it what are your thoughts? Any chance we could get a SS+ spoilercast on the game or even a knock back episode given it’s 13 years old. It’s easily playable on 360 backwards compatibility, but is playable on PS3 as well and was a PS Plus game late in the free PS3 games per month era if you redeemed. Thanks for all your great content!

Hi CC&D I just saw the recent unboxing video for the Square Enix Masterline FF VI estatue announced a couple years back, and I feel this is gonna be that item I'm never gonna have but it will always haunt my soul to no end. What's wrong with Square Enix and their constantly over priced collectibles?, Why are they so out of touch with their audience and the economic reality we live in? Greetings P.D. Even though I do actually own a Prime1 statue, and they are indeed expensive and to each person own consideration. I just don't recall seeing any similar insane asking price like this 13K USD collaboration with SE on any kind of VG collectible.

Hey fats, The TV show community did a GI joe episode few years back. Animated in the classic style and all. You should watch it if you haven't. They gave all the main show characters GI joe names based on their personalities. Tight ship dressed as a sailor for the girl that's uptight about everything. Buzzkill with buzz saw blades on her arms for the girl who is a buzzkill. Wingman for the main character Jeff winger who had jet wings and a gun. What would each of your GI joe names be, what weapons would you use, and why? Go Joe!

What is your favorite piece of extended universe content for a game? Mine was the Mass Effect books; they're the reason I picked up the game back in the day. Also, a shout out to 'Traces of Two Pasts.' I think it's great to explore things that aren't necessary to know but are fun to learn about for the story.

Dear Sacred Symbols Team, I've been brainstorming an epic PlayStation-themed pub quiz, and I thought it would be a blast to challenge you to a fictional showdown! Picture this: Dustin, Chris, and Colin in a hilarious trivia battle to prove who knows PlayStation characters the best. (We know who’d win) We're talking obscure sidekicks, quirky NPCs, and maybe even a surprise twist or two. Are you up for the challenge? Who would emerge as the ultimate PlayStation character connoisseur, and who would need to brush up on their gaming knowledge? Here’s a starter for y’all: Question: In the PlayStation exclusive "The Unfinished Swan," what is the name of the king who ruled the kingdom, and whose unfinished painting serves as the starting point for the game's unique adventure? Thanks for always delivering great content and making us laugh! Also, as a Georgian, keep up the southern charm!

Dear Sacred Bios, The Internet is filled with discussions about game length in regards to Spider-Man 2 and Assassin's Creed Mirage. This got me thinking, when is the last time you finished a game and wished it had been longer? I guess my answer would be Moss on PSVR? More often than not I find myself feeling like games are overstaying their welcome. I acknowledge that this can certainly be a "me" problem, unfortunately my free time just isn't what it used to be. So what say you? What is the last game that you wish was just a little longer? And if nothing comes to mind what do you think that says about the current discussion of game lengths?

Hola sacred amigos, I'd like to get a quick prognostication from the three of you about the future of the Dualshock controller. To get the conversation started I wanted to bring up the light bar. I know many players think of the light bar as a cool visual aid while playing certain games but what they might not remember is that the light bar was originally put there to work in tandem with the Playstation camera, which was something that never came to fruition (correct me if I'm wrong here, I didn't own a PS3). So I find it interesting that the light bar lives on today even though it's quite unnecessary. It has become a part of the controllers identity and even though it eats up our battery Sony has decided to keep it around for the fourth and fifth generations. Will there be any major changes or improvements to the Dualshock controllers in the future or even a new line of controllers under a new moniker? Or is the dualshock branding too valuable to be replaced?

Howdy, Sacred boys! Colin mentioned eggnog in the last episode during the discussion of when it is acceptable to get out the holiday decor, and I'm wondering if this strange concoction actually appeals to the any of you. If so, would you drink it any time of year? Alton Brown has a recipe for aged eggnog that truly gets better around the 4 month mark. Of course, if you want this ready for the holiday season, then you're looking at making eggnog in August... If not eggnog, is there a particular beverage that only makes an appearance around the holidays for you?

Colin, While listening to last week's write-in regarding their neighbor’s rooster, I was caught off guard by your speculation of culture of the rooster’s owners. Having lived in rural/suburbs for many years, the answer is obviously Hispanic, but hearing Somalian was definitely an interesting take. Could you explain how you deduced this? It seems somewhat random or a complete shot in the dark, but maybe I’m missing something about the connection of Somalia and chicken farming. Perhaps you’ve had Somalian neighbors in the past? I would love to hear more of how you connected these dots.

What up boys! What's going on with Naughty Dog? I've been playing their games since Jak & Daxter and loved everything they've released since, but with the news of the recent layoffs, I can't help feel they bit off more than they can chew. They're a AAA single player game developer, do you think they should've just stayed in their lane and continued banging out sequels to beloved IP's and creating new ones? I fear this is Sony's doing, desiring to turn one of their best IP's into a games as a service. I don't blame them, but why fix what isn't broken? It's safe to say the reason Sony is dominating is because of their AAA single player narrative games, why not just double down on this strategy for the foreseeable future? Am I missing something? Thanks as always for the great insight and content. Cheers.

Hey CDC, Colin may have broken me. I’ve been following since the IGN days so I remember when Last Stand stopped recording shows in-person and the audience not catching on. So, following some discussion over the last few weeks regarding whether or not it was worth it to edit the podcasts, I could swear that Sacred episode 274 sounded unedited. Now I don’t know if Colin is completely right because the show was edited and I clearly cannot tell the difference, or if I have caught on to a classic bamboozle. If it’s the later and you are considering putting out shows unedited please reconsider. This is the best $5 I spend every month and I definitely appreciate that extra level of care put into the show. Other podcasts just don’t compare. Wishing you all the best, Liam

Hello sacred crew, Colin your recent playthrough of Alan wake had me thinking about music in games, and whether any of you lads have become a fan of a band/artist you first heard through a game? Alan wake helped me discover a finnish band titled 'poets of the fall', thier song "War" features on the radio in the game but they also perform as the 'Old gods of asgard' and help soundtrack my favourite scene in the game (the rock show) . Poets/old gods also provide the awesome song "take control" from control. Thanks to Alan wake I discovered a band who's music I listen to on a regular basis and I've even got to see them live a couple of times. Many thanks guys and keep on keeping on.

Greetings Sacred Studs, Does the Sony Pictures Core enough value to now recommend PlayStation Plus at the premium Tiers, I think it’s a nice addition for the Subscription.

Hey Sacred Crew,

Hey CDC, I’m trying to work my way through the Burning Shores DLC for Horizon Forbidden West and boy am I rusty. It’s really sapping my enjoyment. I am almost longing for a time when DLC was available very close to launch. I remember this being a very controversial scenario, fans would often claim the game is being carved up to sold piecemeal. it feels like we have gone too far the other way. Is there a solution to this? Should DLC have better onboarding so absent players are able to gradually get back up to speed? Sure, it would mean it’s off to a slow start but I feel like I’ve been thrown to the wolves here. Keep Steppin’

Hey CDC, Colin, this ones for you as it's in the trophy department. I came home from my week long trip to Iceland to Mortal Kombat 1 ready and waiting for me. I downloaded and am playing through the campaign and having a good time. Until I noticed....yet again Netherrealm has named MK1 on the trophy list Mortal Komat 1 Trophies instead of just the name of the game. They did this for MK11 also. I looked through my entire list of 103 games and only found one other game that followed this schema. One of my favorite indie titles by Lucas Pope; Return to the Obra Dinn. My question is this: what is up with this? Do you have any insight on this odd and rare naming convention? Thanks and good luck to you and Micah on your very special day at the end of the month, -Gooch
