Twisted Metal (Peacock) Review Discussion and Spoilercast (S1, E3-6) | Sacred Symbols+, Episode 321

By popular demand, we return with our continued thoughts on Peacock's Twisted Metal series, this time examining episodes three, four, five, and six of the 10-part first season. And we're frankly glad we kept on watching, as what we would deem a decent show early on becomes good and solid during this particular run. On his journey to New Chicago, John Doe continues to encounter an ever-expanding cast of characters that imperil his life at every turn, all while he's on the clock to complete a delivery for a promising client. Likewise, we learn much more about the mysterious Quiet, whose incessant moodiness gives Twisted Metal a bit of a Ratchet & Clank 1 feel. Just get along, already! Gratefully, by episode six, they do, allowing us to focus on so much of what Peacock's foray into campy car combat gets right. And when you learn about what she and her brother experienced in the OC, well, you may just better understand her disposition.

I can't believe Colin has never seen Blankman but has seen In Living Color. Man I would love to see what him and Dagan think of it. It's actually not a Wayans brother movie it just has Damon in it. Keanan wasn't involved either. Always loved this movie.

Jaffe is way too modest. He should be credited as a creator. If they choose not to put him in the end credits under "Based on the Sony Playstation game- Twisted Metal" _(Created by David Jaffe) - that's one thing. But there's no credit on IMDB as creator and that is unacceptable. I've contributed an upate to have him added as creator, whether or not it will be accepted is to be seen. I tried with the other co-creator, but was having an issue, perhaps he doesnt have any other writing credits. Hopefully this credit will get accepted and he will have some recognition. I know he says he doesnt care, but if he created those characters his name should be there and get a nod.

Colin, I feel like it's been a long time since you've played the original Ratchet and Clank. Yes, Ratchet and Clank don't get along the whole time, but they're mad at each other during 7 planets out of 18 total. And they're not even mad at each other when they first meet, it's a part of their character arc. First impressions are typically wrong and that's a huge part of the game's theme. I wonder how you'd feel about the game if you played it again for knockback.
