D3 Mighty Dukes, Let’s talk FPS. I, like many, saw the light of 60 glorious frames per second in recent years and became a true believer. However it’s chilling news to constantly be reminded by Chris that most people still live in a Stone Age of live slide shows they call 30fps gaming and prefer it somehow over crisp smooth 60+ frames per second. With some key titles that have come out in the last year that didn’t target 60fps and some not that old titles (looking at you rockstar games) that have no plans to update their frame rates, do you think we that have seen the light will be silenced? Are we destined to be shuttered back into the dark recesses of choppy animations so the resolution can reach 90k or whatever insane target will come next? Or do you think it’s more likely moving forward that solid performance will be expected from many if not almost all titles? You Duke boys have a, PlayStation and Switch just got that RDR 1 port for $50 after xbox had access for years kind of day.

Hello gentlemen, I considered buying a PS4 Pro at one time, but as time went on, it became apparent that it was not something that was worth purchasing. God of War 2018’s Performance Mode capped play at 60fps and often failed to meet that mark. Ghost of Tsushima’s Performance Mode was remarkably stable but ran at a capped 30 fps. The Last of Us Part II ran at 30fps with occasional dips in fps, and the same was true for Spiderman. Do any of you worry that we will see a push for increased fidelity at the expense of improved performance with the PS5 Pro?
