Awesome!

Glad your keeping us in the loop!

You were great in the JRE Podcast. I hope you get to go back!

Anonymous

Is there any particular reason that I'm unaware of why you're avoiding putting these updates on YouTube. Is it to keep the channel more organized with only content videos?

LastStandMedia

Yeah. I don't want there to be random shit there, just the two videos a week. That way, a person can have confidence that they're clicking on content when they browse around.

Anonymous

Excited for the first video, Colin! Wishing you the best of luck :)

Anonymous

You seem really excited Colin, looking forward to the new content

Hey, Colin. I'd personally prefer to see both videos -- history and politics -- be as produced as each other. Not, as you mentioned, the political one being more thrown together at the last. I think that 'Colin was Right' style would be great for political content and i'd love to see you go at the pressing issues with everything you've got. Plenty of people throw together video blog pieces on the latest political news but as far as I am aware, not many on youtube are doing a highly produced video on such topics. Whatever you decide, I am sure it will be great, but this is my personal opinion.

Anonymous

Killer update! Can't wait to see the rest of the equipment and the first video. Thanks for keeping us abreast. The format of 1 historical/1 political also sounds like a lot of fun.

Evan Bederman

Gotta say, even though rationally I appreciate the idea of keeping the first video topic secret, I'm also super impatient and just want to know already!

Any updates on your book that your writing?

This man's entire soul is pure Gold. We need more humans in this mould. Some will say old, but if gold is old I'm sold, we all know that the world out there is cold. I'm told. Keep going, bro.

I know you said you will be doing less interviews, howere I remember you mentioning the keeping it 1600 podcast during the election. You probably know those guys have started their own separate pod, would be great to hear you on it if possible, would be a great juxtaposition.

Anonymous

Nice , I could totally see this becoming sorta like Dan Carlins hardcore history. Only thing Collin , is you are probably going to need a producer to help you churn out material. Doing the video/ editing in addition to research will be too much.

Anonymous

Wow you're soooo cool

Anonymous

Santa Monica is beautiful. Sad to see you leave the Bay Area. Chances of meeting you have become 1% haha

Anonymous

I like the idea of balancing between more regimented history videos and improvisational political ones. Scripted and unscripted content have very different cadences, and I think that you'd be best to flex both of those muscles.

So excited to hearvtge update news, great to know we can have some closure on GOG. Love the two video idea, with 1 pre-planned based around history and another on the fly more related to current affairs. Also so glad to hear that you will put up an interview with your Dad and his 9-11 experiences, I'm sure that will be extremely interesting. Thought yiu killed it on Rogan, did you get to meet Justin Wren? That guy is such a hero too. Keep up the awesome work and like Rogan said no need to play it so humble, you are getting support and love cause we all feel you deserve it Colin. I think that kinda means that you do deserve it. Love and Respect. Is it April 3rd yet? Lol

Anonymous

So excited for what you have planned! Everything you explained sounds amazing. Loved hearing how passionate you were on the Joe Rogan podcast and can not wait to learn and experience from what you have in stall for us all.

John Barton

1 to 2 to 3 to 4. I'd say your doing just that, I'm glad your not rushing it Colin. I like the updates and the transparency in how your organizing the show. I really liked the informative nature of Colin was Right and I believe CLS will surpass expectations.

Hey Colin, don't worry Zooms are super easy to use. Yes! Audio is more important. A professor once explained it this way; a video can have a bad picture with clear sound and the audience knows mostly what is going on. However, a video with a good picture, but terrible audio creates a lot of confusion for the audience. Best of luck with all your tech.

Some would say he's evolved, from his other life which dissolved. Can't say it was fortold, but this shit just ain't getting old. Respect and Love step out bold, and your rhyme inspired truth be told. Sorry if the copy seems to unfold, my text when I write sells my soul. Peace

I like the idea of having two different types of videos but I'd like the focus to be on the scripted researched topics. I know that is some of my favorite content from you. I like the second video being more topical and timely it will give us more opportunities to discuss things that our happening in the world and give us a much needed replacement for the dying media. Keep up the good work and I look forward to the first video.

Jeremy Meyer

Colin, I've been a fan since '08, the thoughtful writing, the unscripted and live stuff, I like your idea of doing both with CLS. Maybe sometimes script the history and be off-the-cuff with politics. Maybe sometimes

Anonymous

Been following you since 2009 or so. Love the direction CLS sounds like its headed. Proud to support you, and this venture.

Jason

Colin I love the ideas for the video content and sounds like a good time. Glad to hear you will still get your dad for a interview, he sounds like a great man and that will be fun. I hope you also down the road do another video with your mom, she is amazing also.

Jeremy Meyer

The reverse could work. Improv the history, script a political segment. Also, some type of AMA could be great.

Anonymous

I love the idea of two types of videos and a combination of scripted and off-script. I was also hoping you would do a combination style video, like, here's the politics and here's the history that lead up to it. You were talking about on The Rubin Report that the republicans freed the slaves and then switched to the democrats we know today and you said you think it's switching again. I would like to see an occasional topic like that, where you delve into the history and then bring it up to a modern scope.

Anonymous

Colin, you keep doing what you love and we will be there every step of the way with all the support you need.

James Galos

How about that whiskey collection!?!? Prohibition and whiskey recommendations coming soon?

Joseph Ady

I vote for a black hoodie sweatshirt

Saran Singh Grewal

The fact that you're a great writer means your scripted content is really strong and whilst I really enjoy it, I'm glad that there will be a slightly more off the cuff video also coming each week. I always look forward to your passionate rants and I'm confident your quality over quantity stance will make for some great viewing.

Anonymous

It would be cool if you do your videos on politics in style of Philip DeFranco - not heavily scripted, but edited in a fast way to get the point across

Anonymous

Yes to the black hoodie sweatshirt and maybe a beanie 😎

Aaron Myers

He's like a happier more relaxed Colin now. So happy he is still going to do his Dads interview, I really thought it had been forgotten about in the chaos.

Anonymous

As others have suggested, I think looking at Philip Defrancos videos for inspiration and ideas for the format of your political show would be a good idea. For merch, I think just a basic tee and hoodie would be great to start. But from there I think you could do like a monthly shirt relating to some historical topic would be awesome, and maybe you could donate some of the proceeds to museums and the like?

Anonymous

The history/politics video split in the week sounds great. Just a suggestion specifically for the politics side though, I would love to see some scripted breakdown style videos of key political systems or ideologies which explain the inner workings/back story in the classic Colin way. Not to replace the idea of more unscripted stuff, but maybe something to compliment it. Either way, can't wait for the first video man, thanks for all the updates 👊

Anonymous

I love the idea of a long form history video! I would love if you would point out how each topic is relevant to modern American society. Also, Maybe for the politics portion you do a sort of "Last Week Tonight" concept, where you tackle big events that happened in the past week and dive deep into them. And being more interesting than John Oliver shouldn't be difficult ;)

Anonymous

super excited about all this, I have ideas and questions brewing for your future shows (content dependent of course). this is going to be awesome!

Anonymous

I can't believe you are going to do another Gameovergreggy show after the way they treated you it was so disgusting they call themselves best friend's what a joke that is I am so angry that you are doing this I won't to cancel my pledge

Anonymous

I recently removed my money from The Comedy Button and changed my account. They are unable to never talk about politics, or avoid bashing anyone who doesn't agree with their hyper-liberal ideology, referring to the other side as ignorant or stupid without real meaningful objectivity. It burned me out. You will get that money from now on. I find the games industry 'holier than though' approach to everything to be nothing but myopic and I'm more than happy to support anyone who isn't in that chamber.

Anonymous

Hey Colin, I like the idea of the video release schedule you are planning. I would really love in the future if you do more stuff like this, which is more casual and non-scripted, in addition to your scripted videos, as this is where I believe you shine the most! Also interviews would be included in this. Really excited for what's to come been a fan now for 5 years! Keep fucking that chicken.

Anonymous

Next Monday can't come soon enough, Colin! Can't wait!

J_Deeves

Colin I think that releasing a history episode and a political each week is a great idea. Can't wait to see the first of many to come on the 3rd!

Simon Concepcion Jr.

No man, I've lived in Venice, Hollywood.. many other places in Los Angeles... try and look at downtown, it will suit your lifestyle way more and is around the same price

Anonymous

I´d buy a hoodie. Question now: I don´t know how much you can let on but will world history will be part of the videos every now and then?

Jeremy Meyer

What if history is monday, politics is wednesday, and a Q&A video on casual fridays to spotlight some of the best comments, questions, and concerns from the week's videos and news bursts.

Anonymous

The Friday show would be similar to Philip DeFranco's Friday show? Sounds good to me

Anonymous

I'm a history major, my two loves are the presidency of LBJ and Irish History (being as I'm from Ireland) - would you ever consider looking at Irish history? The Troubles of recent years would be an interesting topic

any chance you can set up an mp3 rss podcast download like Dave Rubin's "The Rubin Report?" <a href="http://rubinreport.libsyn.com/" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">http://rubinreport.libsyn.com/</a>

Ray Briggs

I second this request. I mainly listen when driving so I won't see the videos much.

George Newton

Really excited now mate also history vid I'm hyped for please check out from the UK he delivers history content in a way which may appeal to you , I'm not saying copy just enjoy it great content . Keep up the good stuff Colin so happy to be on this journey with you

crispyn64

Do you have any plans for a more true to form podcast in the future? I'm excited for what you're planning to do now, but I would also love some sort of audio/video series where you can answer listener questions.

Jordan Durrant

Just pledged $1 from London, England. Let's see what you got Colin. Best of luck to ya.
