Street Fighter 6 and the Forever Game | Sacred Symbols+, Episode 307

Please welcome friend-of-the-show Vince Ingenito, ex-IGN reviews editor and old friend of mine (Colin's) from back in the day. Vince returns to the podcast, as promised, to discuss Street Fighter 6 in greater detail. Just over a year ago, on episode #198 of Sacred+, Vince and I delved into the nitty-gritty surrounding SF6, which was at that time just revealed. Now that the game's launched to critical and commercial acclaim, I figured it was time to get Vince back into the fold to talk about the bounty Capcom has delivered. But as is often the case with the two of us, our conversation ultimately veers into other territory, as we try to get to the bottom of a lingering tension in our industry about how products are conceived, funded, produced, and sold. I'm most-certain you're going to really like our chat. Enjoy.

SF6 is to me what FFXVI is to Colin. So glad there is a SS+ about it, and always good to see Vince again!

Meatball

Vince is the best!

Got to get you a UPS for the power situation Colin.

Great conversation! Would love to see more Vince

Street Fighter 6 really is what Vince was describing. Capcom just made what the fans wanted. Looking forward to all the new stuff they put into it over the next few years.

Great episode, I agree wholeheartedly with that the landscape of gaming is broke. It’s more important to the overly vocal section that rather have their games for nothing than to have a complete game at launch. But there isn’t much the gamers who actually enjoy these games, like FFXVI, are playing it and prolly could care less of the discord, prolly real healthy tbh, than argue with the trolls than know next to nothing about the history of gaming. These people think they are owed something for just because of who they are instead through their accomplishments. I’d take someone calling me every name in the book, while t-bagging me after killing me for the 5 time in a row than listening to the whiner playing the world smallest violin. Cant wait to hear you FFxvi spoilcast. Take it easy guys

Which fighter is your favorite? Soul Caliber has a special place in my heart but tekken is a close second

Loved the episode. Before listening to this I was turned off by SF6 even though I was a hardcore player all the way through SF4. Vince was great. Please have him on more. Maybe an episode of constellation?

I am so happy with this episode. Vince basically laid out everything great about the new entry, and I’ll say what I’ve been saying about it myself: if you wanna be good at SF, this game will let you be the best you’ll ever be at it.

Colin is going to Mike Tyson everyone with FF16. This was a great episode, made me a little hype to get SF6. Vince was great and his enthusiasm was awesome.

Loved the final section of this episode. Great conversation.

superbadisfunny .

Great show about sf I can appreciate. I will only say about Diablo 4 is I don't agree with developers nerfing apart of a single player game. I buy the game so I play how I choose. To me it does make a game worse when it wasn't a necessary move to do. This ain't multiplayer game

Vince is such a great presence on the show. His excitement for the game and all of its details is infectious!
