Friends, it's good to be back for another episode of Constellation. This week, the Brothers Moriarty welcome Defining Duke co-host MrMattyPlays and LSM Executive Producer Dustin Furman to the roster, and as usual, the conversations are wide-ranging. Matty is on the verge of buying his first house, and asks what our respective experiences were purchasing our own homes. What key pieces of wisdom and advice can we bestow upon him? Since the four of us are all ardent YouTube fans, Dustin thought a topic all about the vaunted YouTube rabbit hole was appropriate. What weird, wild, and wacky stuff do we lose hours to on Google's famous video platform? Dagan's mind is on something a little more morose this week, but humorously so. What items, if any, do we have on our bucket list? What do we hope to accomplish before we pass away? Finally, Colin brings up a broad topic -- Dogs -- but narrows it down significantly with the following question: What role do dogs play in your current daily life?

I have my doctorate in physical therapy, been practicing for 8 years. Can't stand most chiropractors. Some are good, but you're better off going to a physical therapist.

Just wanted to let y’all know, you guys made me check out Bald and Bankrupt and I stopped listening to the episode to watch one whole video of his. Thanks Dustin! 😂

Matty is 100% spot on with the hand massaging. It's amazing.

Kenneth Koepnick

Mrs Matty Plays tattoo booth at the next live show?! I would watch the heck out of a Colin GI Joe review show.

Bought our first house near the end of 2021 in New Mexico for over $0.5M. We were 26 years old with a 15 year mortgage at 2.6%. Yeah, the monthly payment is a quite a lot, but it’ll feel really good when we pay it off before 40.

Just what I needed - I was just thinking the other day how much I miss Matty and Dustin podcasting together!

Great episode boys. I went to a chiropractor for a long time when I was in middle school and high school. I had a curved spine and hip misalignment that they fixed for me with a lot of therapy.

Tonys_Always_Write

The first time I went to a chiropractor they cracked my neck, and it was like "putting on glasses," I had no concept of how far my neck was supposed to move regularly before then.

Beau!

Does anyone know the book Colin mentioned? About the supermarket?

How can you not like guns? Insane to me

Colin likes LGR? LGR also stands for Let's Go Rangers. Is this a deep rooted Freudian love for the Rangers?

The rescue that me and my wife got our two staffy's from actually rescued them from a dog fighting ring in the area (and I absolutely feel like people who do that are absolutely the lowest level of human) and honestly, rescuing my dogs is probably most satisfying thing I've ever done.

I was screaming EDGAR MARTINEZ HAS A LITERAL AWARD NAMED AFTER HIM as you were struggling to remember his last name when talking about the Mariners at the end lol.

You guys gotta learn how to work on your own home. The only way to learn some blue collar trade skills for around the house is to do it. The more you work with your hands the better you get at it. You have to put in the time. Luckily it's really a joy to get good at working with your hands.

Holy shit, that channel Bald and Bankrupt Colin suggested is legit! I'm watching the episode right before the Ukrainian invasion. Unreal....

I visited onion town. Its upstate NY and its a lawless inbred colony. One way in and one way out.

"Great A&P and the Struggle for Small Business in America" - I think that's it

I wouldn't call myself handy but I think there are some basic house skills you should pick up. Patching drywall, painting, replacing ceilings fan etc. If you take time to search google/reddit/youtube and know your limits you can stretch a buck. Last year I bought a house built in 1960 and am the second owner in the NYC suburbs. With paint, vent covers and electrical outlet covers the house does not look like it was that of the previous 94 year old owner. Mind you the kitchen/bathroom was redone by the lady's kids and are decent. Always an adventure

Bald and Bankrupt has a great channel. Shame he’s a disgusting sex pest and takes advantage of his status in poorer areas.

I’ve been hunting all my life and have never had a desire to hunt a woodchuck. For a good hunting show I’d recommend Steven Rinella’s MeatEater. Really shows hunting in a respectful manner all the way from the hunt, shot, butchering and preparing a meal from the meat. Unique among hunting shows in that there are episodes where he doesn’t kill anything or even see the animal he’s after. There are clips on YouTube and the whole show is on Netflix.

I’m started to watch Bald and Bankrupt’s other channel Daily Bald. Just to get an appetizer until I see the main channel I’m loving it so far. I would also recommend Simon Wilson he does some travel challenges around the world. His most famous one is traveling from New York to L.A. without any money.

It would be cool if we could get timecodes for each topic. In case maybe we just want to listen to a specific one or skip one.
