Dead Space Remake Review Discussion and Spoilercast | Sacred Symbols+, Episode 275

We're a little late with this one, but better late than never! The reality is this: We friggin' love Dead Space Remake. It's a true dynamo, one that encapsulated so much of what made the 2008 original so special, while lovingly crafting a series of modern accoutrements and changes that heighten the entire experience. The USG Ishimura is indeed a haunted and dangerous place, and that alien marker... well... it makes us feel funny when we draw near it. That can mean only one thing: It's time to closely examine EA Motive's wonderful love letter to Visceral's original, an adventure some consider the best survival horror game of all-time. I made it just in time for this. Finished the game last night. First time playing Dead Space and what a masterpiece of a game. From the time it started to it end it kept me on my toes and anxious throughout.

The ripper was my main weapon for most of the game. I felt it was very OP and I would corner myself in a room and stasis enemies while using the ripper to just cut off their limbs. Especially for the regenerator enemy. This is one of my all time favorite games and the remake was a pleasure to play for me. It’s 10/10 for me.

Both endings to this game lead right into Dead Space 2 if you are familiar with the story so I don’t think it will really change anything.

I use both android and Apple at work and the issue is totally on Apples end. They intentionally have iMessage and other apps set up to make the Android users look as busted as possible. My office makes sure we have a high end model of each and I gotta admit I tend to prefer android for most things.

You can actually get the line gun in chapter 5 in medical when running from the poison trap.

Just finished watching this episode and really enjoyed it. I didn’t play or plan on playing the game, but after this episode, it’s a must play for me. I have played Dead Space 2 and 3 back when they released but never the first. Anyways, thanks for discussion and the great content!!
