After much anxiety and anticipation among Xbox fans, Bethesda has finally broken their silence on Starfield and revealed that the game will be releasing September 6th, 2023 with a showcase arriving on June 11th. There is much to be said about another "delay" for the game that puts Starfield near a holiday window for a second time. Fortunately, there is an equal amount to be said about the glimpses we've seen of notable improvements thanks to said delay. Its Xbox's biggest game of the generation thus far and The Dukes have thoughts on Bethesda Game Studios upcoming juggernaut RPG. Plus more on Outer Worlds shockingly bad update, Redfall's upcoming press event, and news on both Avowed/Hellblade 2's release windows.

Y’all should call the beginning segments “Defining Dookies” 😂

Getting your question picked is like winning the lottery

Starting the episode now. Just wanted to let Cog know I recently started playing Destiny 2. I’m a total newbie who had no clue about how this game or its systems worked. But a week or so in, I’m officially addicted. The gameplay is just soooooo good!

As someone who criticized the negativity last week; I just want to way I am very happy with the framing this week!

TROTMAC96

My respect for Matty just went up by a thousand after his love for Resi 5.

Can't say I appreciate the Dukes joining in on dunking on the Square Enix CEO. Everyone's focusing in on the negatives of the last 2.5 years when he was CEO for 10 years and pulled Square Enix out of it's worst period. I feel like everyone is making assumptions and I can't say that I think a few poorly performing games from their western developers would get him axed considering Final Fantasy and Kingdom Hearts are in the strongest state they've ever been and DQ being in it's best state since the 90s.

I do think in regards to the call of duty being more buggy. This is them looking back to the 360 days with so many companies having half arsed ports especially over the first 2 years compared to Microsoft.

“Biological explosion” 😄 #SeptemberDD

Glad to hear delay support. I don’t even care about delays anymore. Give me the game when it’s ready, I got plenty of backlog.

💯 Gaming is definitely my biggest hobby but my happiness is not dictated by when a game comes out. I want companies to tank as long as they need to deliver a memorable experience.

Re Village was so good and replayable, can’t wait for 4 remake and 9. I’m with Matty and would like a 5 remake

Sony was heavily involved in Callisto Protocol and sure enough PS5 ran better. Sony’s accusation is super shady.

Sorta Serious Gaming

Or perhaps they are speaking from experience. Sony paid money and gave resources to that team to help the development, of course it ran better on ps5. Why is it so crazy to see the same thing happening to a different game? It would only make sense that if one version suffers, the company paying for it will make damn sure it isn't their version. I don't actually think that would be something done on purpose, but in certain circumstances it makes complete sense why it could happen.
