The Downfall Of Ubisoft | Defining Duke Ultimate Episode 102

As the years blow by, one of gaming's very best from the early 2000s has become a shell of themselves. Ubisoft brought us the likes of Batman Vengeance, Assassin's Creed, Far Cry, Beyond Good & Evil, along with plenty of other inventive IP. Throughout the 2010s, they seemingly lost their creative drive and exchanged it for an open world template that they would fit any and all of their games into. With 2023 in full swing, we now are aware of Ubisoft canning a staggering seven projects in the last six months with multiple delays in key titles like Skull & Bones as well as the Prince Of Persia Remake. They're clearly in trouble. Is there any saving them?

Ubisoft games feel like they are made by an AI algorithm. They are completely soulless and lack a unique creative directors vision. It's a shame because I loved the 2008 Prince Of Persia, Splinter Cell, Ghost Recon, Rainbow 6, the Ezio AC games etc. But they abandoned or ruined all of those except for Siege which is still very good but stagnant. Also where tf is Rayman?

Matty, I 100% agree about Cassandra. I genuinely think she's one of the best, most badass female game protagonists. Doesn't get talked about nearly enough. Great chat Dukes! :)
