Our Most Anticipated Games of 2023 | Sacred Symbols: A PlayStation Podcast Episode 235

2022 is but a fleeting memory. Thus, as the calendar turns over, we thought it would be best to look ahead. As is our tradition, it's time for Sacred Symbols to talk about our most-anticipated games of the next 12 months. 2023 is shaping up to be a far, far stronger year than 2022, an especially bold proclamation considering we know virtually nothing about what's coming from either first or second party. Indeed, none of our 15 selections are PlayStation-published games, but -- naturally -- all of them are coming to PS5, PS4, or both. Without further ado, we present to you the upcoming adventures that've piqued our interest the most. The picture in the middle of the thumbnail perfectly captures the state of humanity atm. 😅

Dustin: I've been a bit predictable, so I'm gonna switch it up. Me: hmmm I wonder what he's going to pick Dustin: Anime titty girl game (StellarBlade) Me: 😑

Justin Credible

I wonder how different their list would be if this was recorded after the game awards?

I finally played Dead Space earlier this year, and while many of my criticisms are of the "The Last of Us series did X better" variety, that map is the kind of garbage UX ya'll talk about all the time, with the way you have to realign it to see the different floors. Also, Bentley can project holographic markers into the binocucom much faster than Isaac makes the where-to-go-line appear.

This is exactly what I was waiting for! ❤️

Probably not too much different, since so much of what was shown isn't (or won't make) this year.

Horror fans are getting spoiled this year. Resident Evil 4, Dead Space and Alan Wake are some of my favorite games and they are all coming back! 😩. I'm also hyped for Hogwarts, Suicide Squad, Final Fantasy 16 and Spider-Man 2 of course. Seems like this is the year "next gen" gaming actually starts

You guys noticed that Days Gone has been popping off due to a modding scene? It's got more regularly players on pc than Horizon. YouTube videos are in the hundreds of thousands.

Colin I've been following you for almost a decade and l just wanted to say thanks for all your hard work. What you've built since you left ign and kinda funny is so impressive. You've surpassed all of your peers. I continue to wish good things for you and keep on keeping on.

Germanos

I cannot express how impressed I am by the continuous delivery of content during the holiday break. Massive professionalism and care for the audience. Thank you and Happy New Year to the LSM crew from Poland.

Good lists from everyone. I'm also interested in Final Fantasy XVI, Atomic Heart, Resident Evil 4, Stellar Blade, Dead Space, Final Fantasy VII Rebirth, Diablo IV, Hogwarts Legacy and Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora. On paper, 2023 is looking like one of the best gaming years ever.
