As promised, publisher Electronic Arts has revealed its all-new, so-called 'hunting' game. It's called Wild Hearts, and it's coming by way of Koei Tecmo-owned developer Omega Force very soon: It hits PlayStation 5 in February. This is a fun move to analyze, an aggressive maneuver from EA that encroaches entirely on an unexpected rival's turf. Naturally, we delve-in. Plus: The totalitarian Saudi government is prepping to spend tens of billions of dollars to whitewash its horrific image (this time in gaming), The Last of Us on HBO is looking mighty fine (though Ellie has some people thrown-off), PlayStation Stars seems inoffensive and engaging (and dare we even say fun), and more. Then: Listener inquiries! Is "dynamically-generated quests" the single worst term ever? What's our gut-check when it comes to Square Enix's weird release schedule? Are digital releases truly ephemeral, after all? Dare we even ask if you want to hear the tale of the listeners whose roommate showers completely in the dark? (You're going to, one way or another.)

Context Should Matter

Danny ODwyer was also instrumental in the hyping of no man’s sky. He was buddies with Murray because they were both from Ireland. He did multiple docs on the game before it even came out and those docs were why I didn’t buy the game. They were both “what could be” videos and after watching both I still didn’t know what you did in the game and held off.

I think the HBO removing the series had to do with paying royalties to people and loosing more than making money and that’s why they had to remove it from existence

Colin, as I’m sure you know, the reason our current healthcare structure is so bad and so expensive is because of the government interference that has been taking place for decades. It being so bad that people become “amenable to universal healthcare” has been the plan all along. Don’t give in. Before health insurance doctors charged what people could afford to pay, not a penny more. It is no coincidence that the “Affordable Healthcare Act” cemented insurance as a requirement by law and drove costs up.

I have had great experiences with Sony’s support. People seem to know the products and hardware and I have received a game every time I had a problem that just couldn’t be settled to my standards. As for higher customer support priority; you’re damn right I/we should get preferential treatment. My first PSN purchase was on day one and I have been a steady customer ever since. My purchase list takes 10 minutes to scroll to the bottom. I’m not better than you, I’m just a better customer than you, and getting recognition for it is the best form of consumer appreciation. If you were on that level you would be happy and if you get there you will praise it.

Very glad to hear Chris giving Odyssey a chance. It's my favorite AC game. Love the brutality of using a spear head instead of a hidden blade. My main gripe with it was how low stealth damage can be depending on enemy levels. Fixed that by increasing damage via the Cheat Engine. Great show as always, lads

Have to agree with you Col. Bloodstained Curse of the Moon 1 and 2 are far superior games to Ritual of the Night. Those are beautifully executed games.

The guy that wrote in to both Sacred Symbols and Defining Duke about converting his wife to the show on the drive up to their wedding, you bamboozled them. You got on both shows.

TOOL , Sacramento the whole song "hooked with a penis" and " Forty Six & 2" everyone was singing. It was awesome

Anyone find Colins rant about proper grammar at the start ironic, since being American, his spelling and grammar aren't proper English by definition? 😉

Definitely going to get back to outriders, I loved the demo, but then I got persuaded not to play because of the reviews. I am taking Colin’s recommendation.

Whoa I leave town for a couple weeks and Colin rolls up with the worst take I’ve ever heard about singing vocals to songs. No offence intended but I don’t think you’ve been to that many shows. People always take part in the vocals and that’s apart of live music. Audience participation dictates people in mass will scream lyrics at the top of their lungs and that’s part of the fun. I’ve been to hundreds upon hundreds of shows, played many myself and guess what? people love yelling/screaming/ singing along to lyrics. This weird idea you have of it being “conventional” wisdom to shut the fuck Up at shows is something I’ve never heard in my life as an ex full time musician so no idea where you got that idea from Colin.

We should all scream if Ubisoft goes. They own Tom Clancy.

I'm happy to 'give in' if we can make it work, but I've not seen a plan that would even remotely function.

I've been to more than 100 rock shows. If you're next to me screaming the lyrics on the floor, you're getting scowled at by everyone around you. It's wild to me that people want to justify their horrible concert etiquette, but that's totally up to you.

JEECE

It's wild to me that you don't know about the thing nearly every band has done at some point where the singer is so confident that the audience is into the song and singing along that he or she stops singing a part of the chorus and lets the audience take over. I would say that maybe you are just listening to different music, but my tastes cross over enough with both Dustin and Colin to know that you each listen to bands that have done this at shows. I actually don't love this-I prefer to hear the band, but acting like it isn't a part of shows that even bands themselves plan on and work into the show is disingenuous.
