I know I'm reopening an old question but I think it's worth at least discussing the idea :D. After watching this episode, it really felt like Miles would be a really good third host for DD. A lot of knowledge, he's professional, interesting and fits really well with both of you! The chemistry and rhythm felt right and all. Great episode!

At least the Xbox one launched with ryse son of Rome, killer instinct and dead rising 3. Series x has nothing you can point to as truly next gen yet. Even Halo didn't showcase the power of the console much in my opinion

Matty it’s funny you said you’re playing FF13 as I just actually decided to pick that up again this week on Gamepass. I’m a huge final fantasy fan and always hated this game even after beating it as it was missing so much of what final fantasy was. It is truly flawed but now I’m about 15 hours in and really enjoying it this time around. The lore is very interesting ( although reading a data log to understand it is BS), the characters are all pretty likable except Snow who’s just lame. It really is a stunning game for being so old. It’s problems are that It simply takes waaaaaay too long to open up and allow you to explore, grind and farm upgrades and having your characters split for the first 15 hours or so is just fucken ridiculous. All faults aside though, if this game wasn’t named Final Fantasy I think it would have a cult following. 13-2 is actually totally awesome and I can’t wait to get to that on Gamepass next with all the free enhancements including 60fps. 13 is not the worst in the series but even though I’m really enjoying my time with it I’d still put it in the bottom half of the franchise.

Not a bad Idea actually. Never bad having ties to Jez who’s probably the best Xbox insider in the business either. Defining Duke is the best Xbox podcast on the market imo.

We keep saying next year xbox will have more games but they never put it together. I have my doubts about 23 also. Its been a decade of next year.

I think Ryan McCaffrey might take that crown, I feel like he knows a lot of secret info, people in the industry, but doesn't leak a lot because of respect for the devs. Both are great tho

As someone who only interacts with Xbox through PC GP now I've always seen 2023 as the year I care about Xbox again ever since it was rumored that'd be the year Fable and Avowed would be ready. Xbox has yet to peak my interest on anything else. Though I may be interested in Starfield once we see it.

Hello, just wanted to come here to congratulate both Mr Matty and GOAT Cog for having converted me - a die hard PS fanboi - to listen to podcast that isn't about my console of choice. I have 170 platinum 🏆 or 311,445 score in 'your' language so I'm definitely not going to play on Xbox anytime soon, but I'm dipping my toes into this forbidden pool after years of sacred bliss so hopefully I can learn more about events and games from wider spectrum of my beloved hobby.
