Hey Duke Boys, With the arrival of Horizon Forbidden West and with GT7 just around the corner, do you think Xbox should be a little louder about upcoming first party games, or do you think it’s better for them to stay quiet for now while PlayStation, and even Nintendo, have the spotlight on them? Have a pothole took out your tire on the highway kind of day.

GOOD DAY KINGS! Are y’all excited that Soul Hackers 2 is coming to Xbox? What does that mean for the future (if anything)? Have a, I’m about to get my max on squat and……. I GOT IT Type of day :)

MonstaPontes93 (Ricky Pontes)

hey dukes! So this past week Ubisoft has just announced that they are open to any potential acquisitions which now got me thinking is this the new normal for the time being? platinum games is doing it low-key of course but i’m wondering who is going to be next saying hey we’re open to it also. I truly feel like this is a horrible direction that the gaming industry is going towards and it’s unfortunately the inevitable what do you guys think? Do you think anyone else will openly say this? I mean I know Sony wants more but we know Xbox does also.. anywho have a lose your favorite IP to Sony or Microsoft kinda day…

What up Dukes of Definition, I love that you guys have been on Xbox's ass for missing out on Japanese games that come to every console except Xbox and today we finally got a sliver of hope. Soul Hackers 2 by Atlus! Atlus of all developers, has been announced for Xbox day and date. I don't understand how a port like P4 Arena Ultimax that was already on the previous generation is absent but the sequel to an already obscure Atlus JRPG makes it on, but I don't care! We take those! How do you guys feel about this rare Japanese Xbox W and do you guys think this might be the start of Atlus supporting Xbox or is this just Atlus being weird and it ends up being a one-off?

Hey Matty and #1 Danganronpa fan Cog, On the most recent Sacred Symbols, the boys discussed how demos should make a return and I was just wondering your take on this. I think they should become normalized again as they used to sway my decisions to try new games and buy games I may not otherwise take a risk on. When I bought my first 360 back in 2007, I downloaded the demo for Bioshock. I didn’t have much interest in it, but going from the plane crash to the reveal of Rapture to the man being murdered by a spider splicer outside the bathysphere and all the way to being locked in the room with Andrew Ryan asking who you are while splicers try breaking the window had me instantly hooked and I bought the game the next day. Gamepass is a great low bar for entry to try games for a low price (Hades anyone?) but we are still in a place where only 25% of gold members have gamepass and not every game is playable through the service. Sorry for the long letter. Have a “it finally feels like spring but it’s going to snow tomorrow anyways” kind of day, Hodge

Aight Dukes, They got me. CDPR said the time wasn’t right for GamePass and then stealth dropped nextgen versions of Cyberpunk. I never played it at launch and wasn’t itching to play it honestly. I was gonna wait for that GamePass…until they had a free 5-hour trial. Like a drug dealer giving me a taste, after that 5 hours ran up, I needed another hit. Lo and behold the game was 50% off, and I could not deny the purchase. I find Cyberpunk 2077 utterly fantastic and I know many were burned by it, but this is one of the best games I’ve played in some time. So, I concede to CDPR, there’s still money to be made. Dukes, any chance we can get a DD spoiler cast of this later in the year?

Hey dukes! As a long time member of team ‘Health is Wealth”, I love finding ways to gamify my workouts. A few months into the pandemic I got a Peloton bike for my house and haven’t looked back since. Last week Peloton announced their first video game based workout. It’s a “Amplitude” style lane rhythm game that you control with the bike. It’s not the best game I’ve ever played, but I think it’s a cool step into a future part of fitness instruction. Do you guys also like to game-up your workouts? Or have you tried any game style training programs? Thanks, Paul

Hey, slitterheads. I have a fun one for you boys: you have the opportunity to forget and re-experience your favorite game for the first time again, but at the cost of living one full week without wearing any clothing (no towels, figs, or anything to cover up!), would you take the deal? What game would you be willing to endure it for? Thanks for the content, hope you have a "no toilet paper in the public bathroom" kind of day.

Good afternoon sexy Duke boys. What do you think the Xbox ecosystem would look like today if the big bad Don M was still in charge? I can't imagine Game Pass wouldn't even be a thought in anyone's brain but I reckon they'd have gone harder on the whole VR/Metaverse stuff that's getting big now. Thanks and have a "no Russian" kind of a day.

Well lads, greetings from Ireland. I'm coming to you this week with a bit of a concern I have over the future and direction of many games under the Xbox banner. The recent Halo blogpost which outlines what to expect from their "Mid-Season Update", which is due this week, was very lackluster and met with strong criticism from all sides of the Halo community. From both their biggest defenders and their loudest complainers. "Too little, too late" was a large part of the consensus. I don't personally agree with the "too late" part, but I definitely agree with "too little". (One of their 6 main bullet points was them increasing the radar radius in BTB for f**k sake) This led me to start worrying about how the rest of Xbox studios will handle games that are described as "live service". It seems that because Microsoft/Xbox and their studios are so large, that it is not possible for them to react as quick as other studios supporting live service games. I work in corporate software, and I can see the same patterns here that plague my company and many others like it. From the outside looking in, it appears there are too many hoops to jump through at every level that they cannot react quickly enough to the feedback of their fans. Any decision that needs to be made has to be checked and double checked, and then discussed over and and over before making it's way up the chain of command to actually be approved. Then it has to come all the way back down the chain of command before people can actually begin to work on the bloody thing, meanwhile you are losing potential customers and your workforce is sitting with next-to-no guidance on what they should be working on. And even then any update has to go through a long certification process to actually be allowed to be published to console! It's a sad situation that is all too common in the industry, especially in larger companies. I feel for the actual engineers that want nothing more than to get in there and fix the issues in this game, but have to wait to see if the work is deemed nescessecary by some person 3 levels above them that they have never even met. Are my concerns here unfounded? Or do you think I am on to something that MS and Xbox may need to try and address going forward? Halo blog post mentioned: https://forums.halowaypoint.com/t/halo-infinite-update-mid-season-update/504082

Hello Mid-Range Matty and CQC Cog! Long-time, first-time here. I have a question about future of Gamepass pricing for you. A few episodes back (it could be more than a few, this pandemic and ruined my sense of time) Matty mentioned that he believes that MS will/will not raise the price of gamepass depending on what Sonys rumored "Spartacus" is priced at. Going back to this, if Spartacus (or one of its tiers) is priced higher than Gamepass, do you think MS will keep their price lower, or match its price? And on the flip-side, if Spartacus is the same price as or lower than GP, do you think MS will stay at their current price point, or lower it to match its competition? Thanks for a fantastic Show week after week, and have a: "Im at the top of the leaderboard and nothing can stop me!" Kind of day!

Hello Crossfire X Boys: With the recent disaster that is Crossfire X as well as Scalebound woes resurfacing I am left wondering: does Xbox have a problem being taken seriously by developers in Asia? Both Smilegate and Platinum put out critically acclaimed games around the same time they were working on Xbox projects (Lost Ark, Neir Automata, etc.), but when we get to the Xbox project, it doesn’t seem to have the same effort put into it. Feel free to let me know if I’m crazy, but I’d love to hear your thoughts. Thanks for the great content each week. P.S. Matty I hope you have a “Successful speech check against Legate Lanius” kinda day. Cog Happy Witch Queen week I hope the grind is treating you well, it's been quite the wait.

Hey Dukes, With the announcement of Soul Hackers 2 coming day and date to Xbox, I have a bit of a conflicting feeling about it. While I’m glad that a new jrpg is coming to the platform, I can’t help but think: should Atlus games really be the benchmark for whether or not Xbox is gaining more Japanese support? This isn’t even about Persona specifically, but in general there seems to be no rhyme or reason behind the platforms they put their games on. They just released Shin Megami Tensei V as a Switch exclusive, then released the Persona 4 Arena Ultimax port to everything but Xbox, and now the revival of Soul Hackers is coming to Xbox and Playstation, but not Switch? I want as many of their games to go to as many platforms as possible, but because of how seemingly random they are about their platforms of choice, I think seeing a more widespread adoption of Xbox from other prominent Japanese developers would be more indicative of their influence in that market. Sorry for the long-winded question, and have a “oh look Frog is writing into Defining Duke about weeb games again” kind of day.

Dragonpaul22

Hey Dukes, I am sure you are about to get a ton of questions asking your thoughts about Soul Hackers 2 coming to Xbox. However I am going to ask a different question for the direction. My prediction is Soul Hackers 2 is Atlus test to see if Xbox fans will put up the money showing there is a platform here for them. Do you guys think Xbox is gonna work out a deal with Atlus and get this title on Gamepass for more to play to be safe or stick by their guns and launch same day and date full price like the rest of the platforms. Anyway hope you dukes have a type of unpredictable Atlus kind of day.

Jamie Anderson

Hey all. Why do you think gears 1-3 multiplayer didn't/doesn't get the respect it deserves? Personally i think its because the barrier for entry to be able to play at an average/above level is really high. Examples like wall bounce. Crab strafe. Wall cancels. Pop shots. If you don't learn at least the wall bounce its gonna be a bad day and not very fun. Why do that when you can just go on halo or CoD and go Pew Pew

Hey Dukes, in regards to Xbox needing more shows like Nintendo Directs. Personally I want to hear more about what’s going on just like everyone else. But I have some concerns. I’d encourage you to go back to Matty’s video on Gamescom 2021. Matty was less than impressed. “It was something” The issue is one of expectations. Rarely does Nintendo come out of their directs pleasing everyone. People are always disappointed by not seeing their games or seeing genres they don’t love. Fans and content creators are so hard to please, it just feels like the better approach is one or two big preview events and then have dedicated videos leading up to launch like they did for Forza Horizon 5. So, you are on record of wanting more shows. How does Xbox keep expectations in check and not generate negative feedback from disappointed fans? Or is this a case when less is more? Have a “mom threw out your video game collection when you went to college” kind of day

What’s up, gentlemen? Recently, my much younger brother asked me if we could run through the original Gears of War together. I of course obliged and thoroughly enjoyed the playthrough. I haven’t played Gears 1 in, I don’t know, about 13 years? Also, I love the idea that these young bloods are coming around to playing the classics and putting their Fortnite’s/Apex Legends down for a second. Anyway, I found myself bitten by the Gears bug and decided to play through Gears of War 4 and Gears 5, as I didn’t originally get to them, and I just can’t help but think that, with the exception of narrative, The Coalition has improved the series from the original trilogy in almost every way. I think 343 Industries and The Coalition were always going to have tough jobs ahead of them. That being, they both inherited Xbox’s 2 most important franchises (arguably), both of which are adored, admired, and respected by consumers and the gaming industry at large, and now they are entrusted to take their respective beloved franchises forward and improve them. 343’s struggles (for lack of a better term) with the Halo franchise are well documented by the somewhat uniform reception/opinions of Halo 4 and 5, by and large. I suppose Halo Infinite is a step, or multiple, in the right direction, but that is neither here nor there. On the other hand, The Coalition’s Gears of War 4 and Gears 5 just seem quite polished and from a gameplay point of view, I think they are the best games in the series. Hivebusters further builds on that sentiment. The Coalition is delivering a high-quality product while also adding a number of new mechanics that keep the gameplay feeling fresh and innovative for the series. I don’t really know what to do with this sentiment, but figured I’d share in case you guys felt similarly. Anyway, I hope you guys piss the bed tonight.

Hey Lord Matty and MrCognitoPlays, We’ve gotten official casting for the Fallout TV show, with the main character being played by Walton Goggins. Additionally, it is believed that Goggins will be playing a ghoul. There’s not too much else to be said about this particular news bit, so I’d like to ask a simple little question - what do you guys hope to see out of a Fallout TV show? What setting? Should it follow the narrative of one of the games, or be something completely new? With the main character potentially being a ghoul, I’m excited for the possibility of contrasting life before and after the bombs drop! Have a “my Mac n Cheese is irradiated” kinda day. Hey guys. No cute nicknames this time. This is a bit somber and a little off topic but I thought it might be proper to acknowledge that the developers at GSC Gameworld and all other Ukrainians are at risk of terrible violence in the coming days and weeks and wish our best to them. It's great to be able to escape from the harshness of reality into games, but sometimes the issues can't and shouldn't be ignored. Thanks. Slava Ukraini!

Sup bois! Let’s talk about the gym! I’m considered a powerlifter which we try to lift our 1RM ( one rep max) on the big three lifts which are squat, bench, and deadlift. Curious to see what is your 1RM on each. Mine are 550lbs squat, 350lbs bench, and 625lbs deadlift. (@thatstrongnerd on Instagram to see) Y’all keep up the great work! Love you both!

Hey Dukes, In a filing to the FTC, it was confirmed that it was Microsoft who reached out to Activision Blizzard and not the other way around as was being reported. In fact, Activision only contacted other companies well after Microsoft made their offer. Does this in any way change how you guys feel about the acquisition? For me, it does kind of refute the idea that if it wasn't Microsoft it would have been someone else since clearly, Microsoft is the one who initiated the conversation. Also since Kotick was losing leverage with the board and was only allowed to stay because a payday for them was coming, it begs question whether or not he would have been forced to leave eventually (although we cannot know that for sure). Wonder what you guys think. Thanks always for the great content.

Hey Dukes. With a majority of games nowadays are either free to play, or vast open world games. Do you ever feel drain from the monotonous of gaming, if so, how do you deal with it? Me, I have a routine. I'll play a modern open world game, then a small indie game, follow by an old linear ps3 game. This routine breaks it up and also help with my backlog. For example, I just finished odyssey (an "assassin's creed " game), finishing up sifu then I will follow with the ps3 Simpsons game. I hope you guys have a "muster up enough energy to do leg day but you forgot your headphones" type of day.

Stephen Richard

What’s good Dukes, I wasn’t sure if this news reached either of you, but avatar the last airbender has some games coming it’s way. There is a confirmed mmorpg in the universe, a more rpg style game with rumors of the original cast as your “squad” and a mobile game being developed by square Enix. Are you guys ATLA fans like me? I feel like the majority of kids around my age (25) grew up with this show and since M. Night Shamadick destroyed the franchise we’ve heard nothing up until recently. Where do you two stand with this? Hope you guys have a solid day with no one calling asking about your cars extended warranty.

Michael Buffill

Hey Dukes, Since you guys are Met fans (sorry about that) I thought of a good comparison to Sony and Microsoft. The Yankees are like Sony with a great history of success, resting on their methods that have led to said success and cultivating talent from within. Aaron Judge might be the Naughy Dog of the team while Gary Sanchez might be the Media Molecule. Then you have the Mets. Less history, very little success and ownership that never got it right. But then comes Steve Cohen, and all his money to just buy anything he wants to help him bring a championship to the Mets fan base. Francisco Lindor is his Zenimax and Max Scherzer is his Activision. Hope you guys have a got tickets to opening day on April 1st but the season won't start until June kind of day!

Lexxurious

Wassup Dukes, With State of Decay 3 coming in the future, what changes would you like to see? Have a I'm starving and Calz delivered the wrong food to me type of day 😎

Erin Eden

Dukes! Soul Hackers 2 was announced! And almost stranger than no Switch version is the fact that it's coming to Xbox and PC as well. This is huge because an Atlus RPG has not appeared on an Xbox console since 2002's Japanese exclusive SMT NINE. Do you guys expect Xbox to try and get this on Game Pass day one? If you only game on Xbox, you've likely never gotten to try this series. So Atlus/Sega taking the Game Pass check and getting exposure on the platform where this game will undoubtedly sell least sounds like a good idea to me.

Real Radec

Hey Dukes. So the Uncharted movie came out last weekend and while the reviews have been poor the box office haul has so far surpassed expectations. Do you think Microsoft should look at the box office success of Uncharted and try their spin into bringing their IP on the silver screen? They have Halo on Paramount Plus so could they continue that relationship with Paramount to adapt some of their IP, including ones from Bethesda and Activision? If so what IP would you like to see as a movie? It is kind of crazy that Microsoft was ahead of the curve here back in the early days of the Xbox One era where they wanted to cross pollinate their IP with film and TV. Now a decade later Sony is pursuing that heavily with PS Productions and Nintendo with two movies at Illumination (Mario movie and the Donkey Kong spin off). After Halo premieres on Paramount+, should Xbox try to capture the "pop culture zeitgeist" (for lack of a better term) and start looking into adapting their IP into feature films? Thanks and I hope you have a "Baker Mayfield signed with your favorite team" kind of day.

Thomas Rice

When I think of a defensive aquasitions Sony can make to combat Microsoft and the Activision deal. Sony needs to go after gamepass and take away EA play. Make a deal with EA try your best to take games away from Microsoft and add value to your service. What other defensive moves can Sony make next? Hope you gents have a "All Bethesda games are cross platform" Kind of day

Dukes, So I’ve been thinking about the two publishers (assuming the current one goes through) that Microsoft has purchased, Bethesda and ABK. Two big similarities occurred to me. Microsoft has targeted publishers that 1. Has a strong PC and console presence 2. Are strictly about gaming as their primary business, with very few or no non gaming subsidiaries that consumes a lot of company resources. Which is why I think if this deal goes through Microsoft will have their eyes set on Japanese market with Capcom as their target. Why them and not Sega or Square? Well Square has businesses in Manga, Anime and arcade. Not bad still doable for acquisition, it’s all related to entertainment. But Sega on the other hand let me tell you Matty. On top of also having an anime business, they have Sega toys Sammy pachinko Sega Music Multiple anime production studios They own a freakin resort called Phoenix resorts They have a professional Darts throwing league called Darts Live. It’s just to much Capcom on the other hand only has one thing outside of gaming and that’s Pachinko. Other than that they are strictly about the games. And have a strong PC and console presence with strong in house IP.

Frank T

Hey guys, Do you think Microsoft making a bigger push into the film/tv industry would make any sense? There are smaller studios like AMC and Lionsgate which are around $2 billion and $3 billion. But there are also bigger studios like Paramount, which is about $20 billion. We have seen a small relationship start to grow between Paramount and Xbox not only through thd Halo show, but also the Top Gun expansion for Flight Simulator. Xbox would be gaining valuable IP for games including everything from Nickelodeon, Star Trek, Mission Impossible, South Park, Friday the 13th, The Godfather, Paranormal Activity, TNMT, Yellowstone, etc. Microsoft would have a way to push into a new industry that they obviously wanted to get to a few years ago during the Xbox One generation. It takes two to tango so this is a major what if situation, but I thought it could lead to a good discussion. Have an "I just ate an onion sandwich for lunch and now my crush has fainted due to the awful smell of my breath" kind of day.

Matty, I was listening to the last episode of DD when you told us about how the numbers dipped after Karak left - and how you took it personally. I want to remind you how you got here and where you are now. You started an XBOX podcast on a platform created by someone who has been solely associated with the PLAYSTATION brand for close to 15 years. After waltzing into enemy territory, you planted your flag and began to set up shop. PC deals of the week, barely any write-ins, comments saying "If you want to be like Colin you should..." - it wasn't an easy start! You pushed through though. Losing Karak was just like that high school gf you thought was a forever thing but then bails, saying it's her, not you. Then you meet the person you were truly meant to pair with in the greatest hype man since Flavor Flav, Lord Cognito! What I'm saying is, you should be proud. DD has risen from an underdog to neck-and-neck with Sacred Symbols. Happy 60th episode! I can't wait to see what the show brings next!

Hey guys, I hope this finds you well. As someone who just had a ps5 brick right before the release of Horizon and Elden Ring, I had to send it off to Sony for repair. I then turned to my series S. I jumped into the Mass Effect trilogy once again for the 60th time and I’m nearly finished (shout out to Cog because I always go with Liara). What is a good time sink game or series that you guys can recommend while I await the rebirth of my PS5? Much love. Have a Joel gettin’ golf clubbed kinda year. (R.I.P. my ps5)

Yo my Dukes, Did you guys hear that Nick from XboxEra leaked Project Wormwood? It is a RTS game that is being made by one of the Bethesda studios. I know RTS isn't exactly exciting to most folks, but my most played Xbox 360 game was the Ubisoft WW2 RTS called R.U.S.E. So, I'm interested. What Zenimax IPs would work well for a RTS game? Why is Microsoft putting out so many RTS games like Halo Wars and Age of Empires?

Anonymous

Hey Dukes, first time long time. With Xbox’s having mouse and keyboard support what do you guys think of having WarHammer Total War 3 or other RTS while we’re at it. On the console with the caveat that you need to play with mouse and keyboard? Thanks and have a “you forgot you have an exam today but end up with a C+” kind of day

Hey Matty & Cog! This one’s for mostly for Matty! Just wanted to say that I personally have greatly enjoyed your Trails series updates on DD+Retro Rebound. I speak for all twelve of us Trails fans that bringing up the series in any positive capacity is a massive win for us. It’s my favorite JRPG series that I’ve accepted will just NEVER gain any real traction in the West, so it’s great seeing it spotlighted. Thanks for the amazing podcasts week over week! Have a “I found a $20 bill hidden in my wallet” kind of day!

Anonymous

Howdy, gents! I’d like to shoutout and thank Cog for getting me hyped for Destiny again. I’ve been playing on and off since 2014, and didn’t see myself coming back for this expansion. As of the time of writing, I feel like a kid on Christmas waiting for the game to go back online with the new content. No question, just a fun thought. Thanks for reading and have a “you’re in a queue because the servers are at capacity on launch day” kind of day.

Hello Dukes of Hazard, This may sound redundant since so many commented on it, but we finally have an Atlus game on Xbox! Took them long enough… But it makes me ask this question, why this and not a Persona port? They have a perfectly complete PC port of Persona 4 Golden just sitting there on Steam to bring over. And the demand for Persona 5 Royal doesn’t need repeating. Do you think Soul Hackers 2 is them doing a ‘test’ to feel the Xbox waters? Them just doing an ‘Atlus’? Or is it as simple as they finally have Xbox dev kits in the office and said ‘why not’? Have a Persona 4 Golden only releasing on PlayStation 4 kind of day.

RK128

Honestly, there’s a lot of great shows and movies make. Gears could make for a great action series while something like Banjo could adapt to a cartoon series. And if they want to be more out there, a dark Shrek-esc Conker film would be awesome.

Giovanni D'Amico

Hey Dukes - I'm jumping into Horizon Forbidden West this week and plan to play nothing else for a while - it kinda feels like I'm starting a new MMO, because I know that I'll be fully immersed in a ton of open-world content and am putting everything else on the back-burner. Question for you: if you could set your ideal release calendar, would you prefer a regular cadence of (1) giant, content-rich games that you can sink into for weeks on end, or (2) shorter, less packed experiences that you can hop between more frequently? Obviously, we have both types of games in the industry, and a perfect world would have both types releasing constantly so that you can vary it up, but what are you more drawn to? I know Cog is a living game fiend (salute), but also a Game Pass enthusiast - and I know Matty likes the beefy JRPGs but also likes trying new things - but if you HAD to choose, which option appeals most?

Anonymous

Ahoy Dukes, Just wanted to give a shout out to an indie game that dropped into gamepass day 1 last week. The game is called Infernax. It is a 2D modern-retro styled platformer game that is heavily inspired by the likes of Castlevania 2 and Zelda 2...with some modern RPG mechanics and has some really solid choice and consequences!! I picked this game up as I wanted something short to finish before Elden Ring lands, but I have been unable to put Infernax down. May you have an "Atlus announced an Xbox game" kinda day.

One of the other 12 Trails fans in the west here chiming in to echo this post. Matty, if the other 10 Trails dorks haven't mentioned that Sky the 3rd is a different kind of game compared to First and Second chapter, then let me be the one to say it. It's much more of a dungeon crawler compared to the other entries but I think it's still worth playing all the way through for some really great character development moments they throw in. Just know that it's not more of Sky FC and SC.

Mike Po

Good day Dukes, This past weekend I finished up Nobody Saves the World from Drinkbox Games. A sad realization I had while playing it, though, is that I started popping rare diamond achievements by hitting main story milestones, meaning that less than 10% of players who booted the game up have made it to the final dungeon. This isn't a long game, though, so I was surprised to see that story achievements were considered rare. I know that an average game only has around 20% of players hitting the end credits, but I would have thought Game Pass would help raise that a bit. My question is whether you all think Game Pass is going to have a positive or negative effect on overall game completion rates, and if you've noticed any change in how long you stick with a game that's on Game Pass.

Ryan Guldner

Hey Dukes, Are there any games you currently wishing to be brought to modern consoles. Today i would like to celebrate Black Isle Studio announcing the remaster port for Baldur’s Gate Dark Alliance 2 set for this year. Would love to hear your thoughts

Hello Dukes, I passed by a GamesIndustry.biz article stating Nintendo should acquire Intelligent Systems and Game Freak. I was more surprised that they weren't officially part of Nintendo's team, which means, theoretically, Microsoft could throw a bag their way and take them away from Nintendo. In your experience in the industry, is this common for people to just "trust" that their partners won't leave? What disadvantages would Nintendo get by putting a ring on their long-time and very important partners? Thanks and have a "I just ate a fancy onion melt with parmesan crusted bread plus melted gruyere and American cheese" type of day!

Sfish616

Hey guys Someone posted the other week about mlg also being apart of Xbox now and the potential of a big esports tournament and the thought of a multi city Xbox celebration with quakecon, blizzcon, and xo event came into my head. Especially with e3 being dead in most cases and having numerous presentations and also having a major esports tournament with halo, gears, quake, cod, overwatch, hearthstone, etc. think this might be a good way to get blizzcon back on track and they can learn from quake con cause it seems they run one of the best live events there is and it could be a good way to meld all three companies eventually into a more cohesive unit. This could also help with fixing the esports units of cod and overwatch cause it seems halo infinite so far has done a lot better with esports than most other games on the market and could also help with the potential quake reboot if it has pvp. Thoughts?

Max - Fifthstring

D-D-D-D-Dukes! Xbox wants to be global yet they will soon have 3 publishing arms under them. When future acquisitions come into play, do you think the other publishing/studio arms will come together to see who that studio best fits under or will it be a "Zenimax scouted this talent out, so they're keeping them" kind of deal? Take Platinum, not to say they'll be acquired, but a big "if". Would they fall under XGS since that's where the relationship started, or would they fit better under Zenimax since Zenimax Asia and Tango are already there and have a decent dev foothold in the Japanese market, strengthening that name in the Japanese market, with the added benefit of not needing to create new management roles for other arms since the structure is already there with someone else. Have a 50% packet loss kind of day today!

Hey Dukes, The news of 2K is releasing two Lego sports games it got me thinking of the good ole days of arcade sports titles. I have fond memories of playing NFL and NBA street into the early hours of the morning during sleepovers with friends. Could these Lego games be the return of the arcade sports genre? If so, which sport would you like to see Lego made into? Best, Sean M.

Hey Matty & Cog! Hope you guys had a wonderful Presidents’ Day weekend. With live actions being rolled out and announced recently such as Halo and the Fallout series, what other Microsoft titles would be for for a live action adaptation? The first one that comes to my mind is Fable. What do you guys think? What stories can be told in live action format from Xbox exclusives, or games that have a strong presence on the Xbox platform? Have a Someone broke into my car and left a copy of Battlefield 2042-kind of day!

Hey dukes! So why are there no AAA porn games? Idc if it’s perverted or not, I’m an adult and I would like to see some sort of booba and peen. Not to mention if Xbox had hentai games, Japan would be more likely to purchase an Xbox. Hope you guys get a laugh and have a “sitting in queue for Witch Queen” kind of day!

Yo Delectable Dukes, I’m writing in to shoutout the Cuphead show on Netflix. It is insanely entertaining and injects even more personality into the already charming cuphead aesthetic. Motivated me and my son to dive in for another play through. Thanks for the content and have a “I’m really hungry and just found a surprise $20 bill in my pocket” kind of day

Hello Dukes, I asked this question to the Sacred Crew last week but was curious about both Matty and Cogs take on the matter. Nintendo is infamous for having, let’s not kid ourselves, horrible legacy support in recent years. But I turn on my series x, everything I bought across generations is mostly just ‘there’ and it plays even better. This makes me ask, with Sony trying to amend their own legacy support issues, do you both think it’s time for Xbox to continue their efforts? Or potentially even expanding it to more systems? Native SEGA consoles being on Xbox would be something for sure. Have a ‘I’m buying Mario bros for the eighth time’ kind of day
