Over on social media -- on Twitter, specifically -- you may have encountered a gentleman named Benji-Sales. He's an interesting cat: An 'everyday retail worker' with a very sharp mind who deeply analyzes the gaming industry's sales trends and data to great effect. He and I (Colin!) have struck up an online friendship, and I've really enjoyed reading and listening to what he has to say. So obviously, I just had to invite him to Sacred Symbols+. On this episode, we delve into the Big Three: Nintendo, Microsoft, and of course Sony. What is each doing right and wrong, and what can we expect from them in the future? New games, acquisitions, and so much more. This is a really fun episode for industry nerds. Please enjoy.

I truly believe that the internet hypes up GamePass. Majority of people just don’t care and still buy games. Most of my Xbox friends still have Xbox Live Gold.

My experience is completely different, everyone I know is on gamespass and playing a lot of games. I love being able to try indies, AA and AAA for $16CAD a month. A game has to be very compelling to convince me it's worth several months of gamepass

Amazing episode, and amazing guest! I'm really fascinated by the trends too! I really don't think Microsoft cares who they piss off externally, as long as they keep their base happy. I'd bet they're going after WB, both for more E rated games (like Lego) for Gamepass, and for a DC/Marvel split across consoles. TBH that'd be a hell of a response to that wolverine trailer. Thanks for putting out such good content on the reg!

Gentlemen, this was a fucking fantastic episode. I rarely comment with my opinion on any of the offerings from LSM, good or bad I leave you to do your work. That being said, I'd like to make a suggestion if I may. A regular update purely on the business side of the industry would be a great listen. Possiblity of a quarterly update or maybe even further apart if little has happened in between. Well done gents, nailed it again!!

Great episode! I think the length was perfect considering the extended length of the main show, that I wouldn't change, believe me. It's also nice to hear an outsider that has as much passion for the space as the fans do. But, in Benji's case it's obvious that he also knows his shit. So yeah... very entertaining.

Great episode, another smartly-programmed podcast that gets into detail unlike most others. Still don’t agree with a lot of Colin’s game pass analysis, but appreciate the discussion.
