We love our indie games here on Sacred Symbols, as you know, and I (Colin) would like to take a moment today to discuss one of them in-depth: Trigger Witch. The reasons I want to discuss this title, not surprisingly, are manifold. For starters, it's really fun. It's a twin-stick shooter about an arsenal-wielding witch, and it's charming, witty, and appropriately bite-sized. Also, my buddies over at Rainbite made this game, which you should note. But even more interesting than that, to me, is that my friend Jono Pech wrote the game itself. This is where I want to truly delve in, because as you may recall, I've started writing games recently, too, and I suspect we've much to discuss. Our chat is wide-ranging, but it does get into spoiler territory, so be aware. But if you want to know what it's like to pen a game, well... this show's for you.

This was a great episode. I think letting John do the detailed writing and you handling the philosophical/treatment/plot beats is a good way to do it. Very excited my man!

I really loved this episode. If at all possible, I think occasionally interviewing writers or creatives that work on indie games that LSM champions has the potential to be a great little series of shows!

Jono Pech

I agree, the stories behind the games are always interesting.

This episode was great! Very insightful. I can't believe you guys did a physical PS5 release! Just got the Limited Edition :) Can't wait. Thanks for all the insight!

…and now I just bought the game. Feel free to pass this along to Jono

Played through the game after Colin and the crew started playing. The trailer had me hooked. Earned the platinum and was very enjoyable throughout.

What is the point of releasing a podcast if you're just gonna give out the spoilers, I get it's initial release month was June but some of us hadn't heard of the game. What a wasted podcast for myself that I can't listen to now until I've played the game

I wasn't aware it was a spoiler cast podcast as I didn't read the notes. I apologise
