Will Activision-Blizzard Pay the Piper? | Sacred Symbols+ Episode 109

We didn't anticipate that we'd revisit this subject so quickly, but the circumstances demand it. Back on Episode #107 of Sacred Symbols+, we invited lawyer, commentator, and Last Stand Media contributor Rick Hoeg to the show to discuss California's pending action against Activision-Blizzard, the largest and most lucrative entity in all of gaming. To understand the fundamentals, we encourage you to listen to that show first. This week, we go into all that's happened since that chat: The walkouts, bustling about unionization, some poorly-worded statements, a very unpopular spokesperson, a disastrous leak from a private Facebook group, some great, questionable, and poor reporting, and on and on. What should we expect moving forward? Is it safe to assume Activision-Blizzard is eager to play ball and avoid discovery? And who should pay the price for such a massive, years-long systemic failure? Could the culpability reach 40-years-and-running CEO Bobby Kotick himself? There's much to delve through, so let's do it. Return of the Hoeg

Wayne Moss

Another very enjoyable episode it’s really good that you guys brink Richard Hoeg in for these type of episode to help give a better insight into what’s going on with all this Activision stuff.

I believe you’re acquainted with Richard Lewis, Colin. He was discussing this ordeal and was quite critical of Jason both for how long he was investigating this story as well as for not handing over his findings to another journalist if he couldn’t get it over the line.

I really enjoy these thought provoking these conversations! More of these, the better 😁

Yeah, I know Richard from Twitter. There's a whole strange dynamic to this story from the perspective of who knew what, and why they stayed quiet.

Thanks Gents for the straight info...no messaging ploys behind this. I love Lawyers...they make everything make sense within the confines of US LAW or written company laws

This is by far the best discussion I’ve heard about this topic. Please keep bringing Hoeg for his legal comments. He’s schooling us and I love it.

Not to leave Colin’s input out. He asked great questions about it and I like his avoidance to jump to conclusions.
