Reports, reports, and more reports! That's a TLDR for you. We have reports on the future of Grand Theft Auto's next entry which will feature an "evolving map" best compared to events in Fortnite. Assassin's Creed joins the fray of single player platforms that will be supported for years. In yet another report, it is revealed that much like Halo Infinite, Assassin's Creed will have a platform boasting multiple settings which will be added to for many years to come. How does this shift the single player landscape? Lord conignito is such a great addition to this podcast. Also concerning the games as a sevice topic as a single player gamer I hate it. If gaming goes that route i will lose my hobby and be done with it entirely. Maybe I'll just get into retro gaming at that point.

With gamepass you will see way weaker sales numbers for lots of games on Xbox. I bought scarlet nexus on my ps5. I own 0 games on my series x. I have 0 plans to buy much for it outside of classics

I genuinely don’t understand half of what the new guy says. It’s a struggle to get through, so I’m gonna try in a few eps to see if things are more understandable. His constant use of “like” is awful. The energy is great and it’s feels a better match for Matty. But still missing that secret sauce.

No offence to Karek but i think Cog is a much better fit with Matty. Cog seems opinionated in a way that compliments Matty well. He brings a similar type of enthusiasm. Karek always seemed like he just couldn't be bothered... Keep it up Dukers! I'm very happy with this new setup!

To be fair, Karek just has a cynical personality that rubs the wrong way sometimes (when he doesn't mean it). That and he was over-extending himself with way too many projects. So he was literally exhausted. I also feel like his personality is suited really well for his reviews (which btw are easily some of the best reviews in the industry right now). Either way, I agree Cog is 100x better on DD. I found that Karek and Matty's personality would always lead to them clashing in flow (they would talk over each other). With Cog, that discussion flows smoothly and they both compliment each other more.

Eh I disagree. As a Series X and PS5 owner, I can honestly say the Dual Sense is leaps and bounds better than the Xbox controller in terms of innovation. The problem is, most third-party developers are not going to utilize those features. Only Sony and their exclusive titles will actually take advantage of it - making the controllers innovations kind of pointless. Microsoft was smart enough to know this would happen, so they just stuck with a basic controller. The SAD thing about this, is that I actually think Microsoft is in a position to have an innovative controller like Dual Sense whereas Sony isn't. What I mean is, Microsoft is buying up a ton of studios. Their Game Pass library is expanding. So they actually have an insane amount of games that COULD use something like Dual Sense. Imagine if every Xbox studio used Adaptive Trigger, or every single game on Game Pass implemented unique controller features. So in a funny way, I actually think Dual Sense is wasted on Sony, and would have been actually supported on Xbox.

I own both and can 100% tell you this the duelsense is by far the most overrated thing people like you praise. It doesn’t add anything to the game play at all. I forget it’s even there after a while unless they fuck with the triggers. That controller is nothing more then a gimmick and people are desperate to say something is next gen. I will die on this hill as a ps5 and Xbox owner that I don’t see the value in it and 100% think it’s all people trying hard to find something to justify their feeling of next gen.

I thought Dualsense was fun when I played Astro's, but indeed way overblown. I didn't think much of it playing Demon's Souls. I had to turn off trigger resistance because it hurt my hand. I think it's a nice touch and maybe one day can be standard as rumble but I find it far from a feature that would decide which platform I buy a game on or anything like that. Part of the reason I don't mind it as much is because the gimmick doesn't interfere with gameplay, but it is crazy how much more expensive controllers are getting as they add this stuff in.

Seeing how soulless new assassin's Creed games are i kind of hoped that they would go back to what they were good at doing focused 20 hour open world games about assassins, and these news kinda shows that they are going the whole other way. Don't think this game will be any good too tbh
