Divorce is a horrific experience for everyone involved. Spouses falling out of love is brutal, and children -- especially young kids -- end up as collateral damage. Such is the story of the 1979 film Kramer vs. Kramer, starring Dustin Hoffman and Meryl Streep as a couple on the outs, with a young son caught in the middle. Kramer vs. Kramer is a notable picture because, in 1980, it won the Academy Award for Best Picture... and Best Director... and Best Screenplay... and Dustin Hofmann won Best Actor... and Meryl Streep won Best Supporting Actress... and on and on. So it's a critically-acclaimed movie unlike many others. But it's also an important look into the world of divorce, especially from the point-of-view of a man who's assumed not to be able to love his child like his ex-wife could, that they couldn't form a special bond on their own... and also of a woman who makes a major mistake, tries to find herself, and realizes the error of her own ways. Kramer vs. Kramer is one of the great dramas of all-time, so why not put an episode of KnockBack all about it on the docket?

Just want to chime in on the crunch discussion. I loved Colin's take and agree with it wholeheartedly. No one is forced to work for CDPR and they are well compensated for doing so. I work shift work and am asked to work OT far more than 6 days a year, often graveyards. Yeah, sometimes it sucks to work days that I expected to have off, however, I am well compensated for my time so I cannot complain. The only issue I could see if that they had said they wouldn't crunch and then changed that. I would imagine pretty much everyone at the company knew this game wouldn't come together without a hard push close to release date. I have no issue with crunch so long as the compensation is fair. No one is forcing them to do anything.

I did the cold turkey coffee thing a few years ago. Went from 5 - 8 cups a day to 0. The headaches were brutal for the first few days but after I'd detoxed it out of my system i didnt need that coffee pick me up anymore.

K vs K was offered as an in flight movie on my flight last night. Wow what a heavy movie to watch on the plane. I can only imagine what it's like to watch this as a child of divorce. I love this era of movies. The script, acting and camera work tells the story in such a deep way. The genius is in the simplicity. The child actor was so good. Gonna go back and listen to this ep again.
