This week's episode of KnockBack is a special one, not only because of its subject matter -- the 1982 Steven Spielberg smash-hit film E.T.: The Extra-Terrestrial -- but because our guest host this week is none other than Dagan's wife, Helene. E.T. was, is, and will likely always be one of the most seminal movies ever created, and it's because it has what so many other pictures all-too-often lack: Heart and imagination. There's a good reason why, for more than a decade after it launched, it was the highest-grossing film in the history of the industry, and why -- nearly 40 years later -- it remains a seminal piece of Americana. So sit back, hit play, and don't phone home. At least, not until you hear what we have to say.

Dagans first stand!! The man the legend

Dagan is too good for this harsh world. We must protect him at all costs! Keep up the good work!

Brandon Soto

Helene’s Last Stand will be great. Hope her PlayStation podcast is just as good.

Ryan Harvey

I really like the new segment but I think you should try and find some quotes that are more controversial or less agreeable to mix in there. Loved the pod, and great job Helene!

Andrew

Another Spielberg magic type film.

Brogan Trull

Great episode! Thanks for coming on Helene

Caleb Greer

Helene’s story about a weird E.T. Christmas essentially because her mom assumed they loved E.T. is what KnockBack’s all about

Adam Hall

Hearing Chris talk about Star Wars makes me feel like he should be a guest on a knock back episode. I would LOVE to hear all 3 of you discuss literally anything.

Marcus Brown

Whoa! Well isn't this a pleasant surprise. Wasn't expecting this. 🤘🏽

ET is fucking terrifying. Nothing scared me more as a child. It was also the first time I remember seeing hazmat suits, and combined with the cinematography and music, all of those scenes had me waking up in terror countless nights throughout the 80’s. I still find the movie disturbing at 38 and will never recommend it for children.

Will Hahn

Dude. Dagan is such a great lead. And it was a pleasant surprise to have Helene on. This must happen again!

Jack Doheny

well done dagan and helene thanks for the show it was awesome. hope all is well and hope colin takes it easy

Ryan B.

Thanks Dagan and Helene. Despite my terror described above, Knockback is always a pleasure and your effort is very much appreciated. I’d love to hear more from the both of you, especially as it relates to properties that Colin might be a little young to have experienced during their first run/debut.

It's crazy how good Dagan is especially since he's been doing this for just over barely over two years.

Great episode! Glad you're taking time from time to time Colin.

I wish it was more realistic for us to do shit together in person, but it's so much easier to do it from afar, and a lot more manageable, too. I personally think the show has gotten better since we've been remote, but understand not everyone may agree.

LastStandMedia

Thank you. I'll be back in the mix this week. Dagan was kind enough to offer and had a plan, so I let him do his thing. =)

Ryan Murdoch

OOOOO This is a nice surprise. Hope you are doing ok too Col, and everyone else here for that matter.

Ollie lovell

Dagan did a great job this episode!

Travis B

Hope you are doing well Colin!

James Clark

Really hope you're well Colin 🖤

Great episode! E.T. is one of my favorite movies. Seeing it in the theater is one of my first childhood memories. Those who weren't kids back in 1984 don't realize how special this movie was in showing us a reflection of ourselves. Dagan eloquently picked up on this topic as the kids in E.T. could've been any of us. I've always thought this was Spielberg's best film.

Jeremy

Dagan is way too funny I swear :')
