Here we are, at the penultimate episode of Fireside Chats. Since we're so close to the end, it makes sense that our final proper interview should occur with someone young, someone fiery, someone with a Carpe Diem attitude. Someone, in short, that can inspire you. Mike Bacior is a college graduate, a newly-minted professional, and obsessive about understanding the way things work, how people climb the ladder, and how to ultimately garner success in whatever you do. He's wise beyond his years, and what he has to say may just help calibrate your own work ethic, goals, and direction. Tune in!

I'm really going to miss fireside chats. I'm sad I never requested to be on the show.

I think Colin should just keep FSCs going, but instead off talking to other people he just acts like the guest and the host at the same time, just putting on a new voice every episode and see how long it take for people to realise he talking to himself.

Shame your stopping the show. Your very good at asking questions and having a good flow, like Rogan. If you had a higher quality guests the show would murder. No disrespect to Mike, as I really like what he had to say.

Sad to see Fireside Chats go Colin - I'm actually travelling to the U.S for the first time from Australia (including L.A) very soon and was thinking of getting in touch about the show! Fingers crossed you do it remotely again one day, and good luck with the move.

Great conversation! After a couple of years of dealing with periods of unemployment, immigrating to a new country (and all the costs that comes with), and finally transitioning to better paying levels in my career, I'm stoked to finally prioritize long term financial planning. This conversation definitely did a great job adding kindle to that fire burning under my ass haha

Was the book about the Nazi economy “Vampire Economy: Doing Business Under Fascism” by Gunter Reimann? Very interesting book.

Mike Bacior

Wages of Destruction by Adam Tooze. He has another great book called Crashed, which is the most insightful thing I've read about the 2008 financial crisis and its global impacts

Lol dude, I’ve people tell me what they have in their bank account and they’re like 7-10 years older than I am.... I’m like WHAT. I’ve never understand the materialistic nature of buying things and spending excessive amounts of money on parties, alcohol, going out, etc.

Thank you. I don't think anyone would take offense. The show was ultimately designed towards "normal" people, and that's why it was so fun for me. =)

Dan Cadogan

Fucking hell. This kid is incredible. Very well spoken and grounded in so much knowledge. Get em dude!

I'll let Colin speak for himself if he has any but I think it's hard to find anything better to start than this! https://www.reddit.com/r/personalfinance/wiki/index

Mike, if you're reading this, start your own podcast lol. Dropping the FIRE financial freedom bomb on Colin - would love to hear more talking points from you about financial independence and things of that nature! Grrrreat episode guys.

Yuushin

I laughed when he said this as I was at my third shift job in a company invested into by Safeway stocking shelves lol

If this is the final episode of Fireside chats I just wanted to say that this series changed my life. Me being in high school when Trump was elected and the cultural/political divide was starting to begin I was often told by the people I looked up at the time (Older Siblings, friends, etc) to not converse with anyone with social/political ideologies that might differ from ours (The brown/black community). I kept this ideology all throughout high school until I discovered FSC when I was 19 in university. After a year of being on the FSC bandwagon I started to realize the similarities people of different social and political backgrounds have from me and my community. Now, I get eager to talk to peoples who's views differ from mine since I now know that who you vote for doesn't always make you racist piece of trash. Best of luck on the move! I hope the homeland of Pusha T treats you well.

This episode isn’t on Apple podcasts or Spotify yet, any reason why?
