Are the Democrats Finally Rebounding? -- Colin’s Last Stand (Episode 55)

With the all-important midterm elections only a year away, the struggling Democratic Party showed some life this week with a few big electoral wins across the country. 2018 should be theirs for the taking. But there are a few glaring issues that need to be solved first. Colin's Last Stand is free of baked-in ads, product placement, and other obnoxious forms of advertising because of your support. They barely won a governorship in a state Obama won twice and Hillary won... wouldn’t say that’s a ringing endorsement of the party. I’ll have to check this one out today.

Thanks for the non-biased political insight Colin and keep up the good work!

The donkey seems appropriate. The only place that is even more chaotic than America is the UK. I think we win in the sheer number of self-destructing politicians but US wins on the likely effect on the world. I trust the democrats to screw it up. I suggest we all get drunk non-stop in the next two years and see what the world has become once we sober up.

You touched on an interesting topic that would be fun in the future. That is the psychology or education around the electoral college. It's interesting how much time, energy, and thought is dedicated to the "popular vote" turned out when neither candidate is or should trying to get it. It would be like a basketball team championing their rebound % without being able to put points on the board. It's like one team is playing by a different understanding of the rules. It also branches into the fact that we are not a democracy, which is a mysterious point of confusion for so many. So I guess the interesting topic would be more the psychology / mentality of the voting populous when it comes to how our government works vs. how the people think our government works. Is it confusion, propaganda, ignorance, or something else?
