Chaos and Ineptitude in the Trump Administration!

If we can get tax reform out of Trump, the entire exercise will have been worth it. And I agree with you. I want him to succeed, because despite the fact that I didn't vote for him, he's driving the ship on which I have a non-refundable ticket, so I don't want him playing slalom with economic icebergs. I can't remember where I read this, so don't quote me - but something like 2% of GDP is lost through inefficiencies arising from compliance with our ancient, loophole-ridden, "written when pencils were high-technology and patched a million times since" tax code. Every year I go visit my CPA. Though I'm sure he has it on his laptop's hard-drive, just for optics he has (along with Walnut paneling and a well-dressed staff that gets you a cup of coffee and a magazine while you wait) ... he has the entire US tax code (G.A.A.P. and associated interpretive appendices and tax case-law) on shelves. It takes up the better part of a wall. Let that sink in. Yes, I'm an old retired fart who got his masters in bus & econ. during the Bush Sr. administration, but still. J*sus. A whole wall of books so you know how many chickens you owe the king? Pull the other one, it plays Jingle Bells. No way is that economically sound. Alright. I hope the choir is happy because I'm done preaching. Lol.

Dude, I've been going through accounting hell for more than a month now. It is so hard to find a good accountant, and the rules surrounding taxation are just insane. The government makes it so fucking hard to do anything, or for anything to make sense. Don't even get me started.
