Hello Friends,

As you may already know, we're having our next live show in San Diego on September 6th, and -- as we're a month away from that date as of today -- I wanted to write a quick reminder for those that may want to go. (For the reading haters out there, you can find tickets here. Reading enjoyers: Please continue.)

About the show: We're more than half-sold, which is great, and Observatory North Park is a bit of a big venue for us (kinda like The National in my neck of the woods), so we were never going to sell-out. But, there are plenty of tickets still available, and we hope you'll come out and see us. San Diego is a hell of a town to visit, and if you're in the area, well... you don't have any excuses. You already know the drill.

For the uninitiated, this iteration of our live show will include myself (Colin), Chris, Dustin, Matty, Cog, Brad, Ben, Hoeg, and Jaffe, and will revolve around a quiz game, with plenty of audience interaction and a lot of general stupidity. Really, it won't be unlike our other live shows in spirit and execution, and you can see that programming for yourself right now if you'd like to learn more: Pennsylvania (2021), Virginia (2022), Texas (2023), and NYC (2024).

I did want to write this letter for two other reasons apart from the obvious promotion of our next show, however. The first thing is that I've seen some of your requests for recommendations in San Diego, and -- in the weeks before the show -- I'll make a post here with some suggestions for good places to eat, drink, and hang in the area. I spent a lot of time in SD when I lived in California, and grew to be quite fond of it. However, I'm also waiting to hear back from some local friends that will keep me apprised of new developments since I was last there. So if you're not from there and are flying or driving in to visit, keep a keen eye out.

The second thing I wanted to say is more in the spirit of transparency and honesty than anything else, and that's that the San Diego gig will almost certainly be the final domestic Last Stand-related live show before 2026. We kind of extended ourselves a little bit more than maybe we should have in even getting two done this year, but the more honest reason is that doing live shows kinda weighs on my anxiety and stress and adds a great deal to my workload (as well as others'), and I need to be way more mindful of that. I never intended on doing any live appearances at all with LSM, and while I was glad to be talked into being open-minded about it and have had awesome experiences, I also know my own limits. So in '25, I want to rein it in a bit and (should we do a live show at all, which is unclear) focus on getting to Europe for Live Show #6, with an eye on returning to the States (and/or Canada) in '26.

So, if you've wanted to come to a Last Stand live show and have waited, now may be the time to strike. Because who knows where we'll even be by 2026? By then, Chris-Colin Dustin Furman will already be running the show, and I'll be in some gulag somewhere.

Again, you can find tickets here, and our original posts about the live show here and here.

I hope to see you soon. <3 -Colin

If this wasn't the week my child was coming into the world I'd be there

Your honesty and transparency is one of the reasons the LSM community has always and will always will have your back Colin. I'm really excited to hear you mention Europe (even if REALLY, you mean our old Blighty). I can't wait to be able to actually join in with all the live show excitement when/if you manage to come to England. Thanks for all the hard work!

Just bought a ticket. Can't wait to see the live show. Kinda nervous cause big crowds freak me out but since there might not be another chance to do this until 2026, I thought I should do something a bit out of my comfort zone.
