Hey guys, Just wanna give a shoutout to rise of the ronin. This game isn’t the most amazing thing I ever played but it’s a great time. I can’t help but feel there are a lot of hypocrites with this game. A lot of people were complaining for the checklist Ubisoft style side quests. While I don’t disagree with people in this regard, I think it’s unfair that games like ghost of Tsushima (that’s it’s being heavily compared to) get a pass. As much as I enjoyed ghost of Tsushima, the side quests were all the same: clear a bandit camp, detective mode to find a trail, find fox’s. Rise of the ronin’s side quest are near identical: clear a bandit camp, take pictures, find cats. Ronin doesn’t have the polish and looks of Tsushima but I do think combat is better in ronin. Anyways, why do some games get grilled for certain things and others get a pass for doing the same stuff? Thanks for all you do.

KEEP IT UP Brad, I know it might be awkward for you to read a post basically telling you how nice you are, but hey if it’s true, then I’ll say it. Since there was a gathering of LSM in person recently, I wanted to share with you all a story on how I met Brad in two different instances and how kind he was to me. The first time it was in 2019, the very last E3. Brad was just wandering the floor and checking out various games, and I was just doing the same. As I approached him to say hi and exchange a few words of appreciation for his work – as I did with many other content creators I admire and follow – Brad was incredibly nice and showed genuine interest in things I brought up. After a few minutes I decided to wrap up my “fanboysm” and give him space to continue exploring the show floor… that’s when he hit me up with a follow up question regarding Final Fantasy 7 Remake, and we ended up geeking out for another 10ish minutes, which is something I have never done with any other content creators. Fast forward to BlizzCon 2023, and there is Brad once again, this time accompanied by his legendary buddy Huber, and there I go again to say hey, take a picture and exchange a few words. After a couple of minutes, I thanked them and moved aside so they could enjoy the show. Right there and then, Brad looked at me and say: “Hey I remember you; we were chatting with me at E3 about FF7 Remake… are you excited about Rebirth?”. Then, once again we ended up geeking out about Final Fantasy and JRPGs for 10 or so minutes. I guess this is just a Brad appreciation post. Not only you are incredibly knowledgeable about the gaming industry but are very kind towards the fans who choose to follow you, I know I’ll be there to support you wherever you go. Keep it up Brad!
