I think this combination of air style and clothing is subconsciously inspired by the 'Tangled' movie character.

At my last job I had to stock kids' toys so I was over-exposed to images of Disney princesses.  Some of them are not bad, with a few small tweaks of the imagination.

Her enormously protruding bangs are an homage to early 90's anime.  90's are my favorite era for anime for many reasons, the hair being one of them.

I like to try to detail the thickness and softness of clothing.  Based on the transparency and stretchiness of the fabric, I tried to make this fabric look next then in silky.  I like to imagine how it feels for her on her skin, and for the viewer to have the same feelings and thoughts.

Originally this dark room was gong to have torches on the columns but this shadowy scene makes her seem more alone.  Loneliness can equal fear, which can equal excitement which can equal arousal.  I say "can" since those are all very relative.
