This is Selestina. Sex Doll Correspondent for TFM News. I’m going to be responding to an article from the Mirror dot co dot uk. Dated February 8th 2018 by Dannielle Whitfield. Called Britain's first sex doll brothel gives away £2,000 silicone prostitutes for FREE after neighbours' complaints force company from building.

The article title tells you just about everything you need to know. The company, which is known as Lovedoll UK was forced to shut down it’s try before you buy doll brothel. Which was located in an area of northeastern England called Tyne and Wear. Because after a media article was written about the business, the neighboring businesses complained, and the Landlord. cAlled Bizspace. Gave the business only 3 days to leave the premises, which didn’t give them enough time to secure a storage facility, forcing them to give away about £30,000 worth of dolls, or over $40,000 if converted to USD.

Lovedoll UK, is trying to make the most of this situation by having a lottery and giving away their dolls to the winners. Some quotes from the business owners contained in the article are. Quote.

"We have had a lot of people who say that they would love a doll but simply cannot afford one, so this is a way of giving back and supporting our customers.

"We feel that there are a lot of people out there that will be grateful of this offer, so it is just a kind gesture from the company.

"This will spread the word about sex dolls and hopefully rid the taboo, because a lot of men and women can really benefit from this.

"A lot of people don't know about the sex-doll industry, so it is important to get it out there. Unquote.

According to the article, a spokesman from BizSpace, the landlord who evicted Lovedoll UK said that the business activity didn’t fit with their companies values.

That’s about it from the article itself, but now let’s do a little digging. This article would lead you to believe that Tyne and Wear is some sort of uptight religious community ready made for a footloose style teenage rebellion, but in reality that’s not the case.

A simple trip to Google maps, and the use of the search nearby feature of the Tyne and Wear area reveals that Tyne and Wear contains 20 adult shops, with names like Sensationally Sinful, Nice ‘n’ Naughty, and Tickled Pink.

Tyne and Wear contains 8 strip clubs, and if you expand the search for “adult entertainment club” instead of strip club, the search returns 13 results instead of 8.

Searching for bars and dance clubs contained hundreds of results, but I think you see my point.

If you walk into an adult shop where they sell sex toys, most toys are made for women. In fact if you look up the most popular sex toys, vibrators and dildos top every list. In fact, a lot of sex toy companies don’t even sell toys for men at all. Their entire business subsists on selling sex toys to women.

The conventional wisdom is that men have everything they need at the end of their wrist, whereas women need to purchase toys in order to masturbate, but this story proves that there is clearly something else at work. Sex toy companies are fine, because the majority of their customers are women. Strip clubs are fine, because the pay is good, and it helps the women. However, sex dolls are bad, they go against our values. What values you might ask?

The values of benefiting women of course. Sex dolls mostly benefit men, and while they do make male sex dolls, even those are used mostly by men. If the benefit doesn’t overwhelmingly tilt towards the women, then it’s offensive. We must all clutch our pearls and have the business shut down. But sex toy companies and strip clubs that benefit women? Sure, open 20 of them. The more the merrier.

I don’t want to let Lovedoll UK entirely off the hook here though. They should have been upfront with the landlord about what their business was so that the landlord knew what they were getting into. Honesty is the best policy, and based on the article, it leads me to think the landlord wasn’t aware of what Lovedoll UK offered in terms of their try before you buy service.

Be honest, and if the landlord doesn’t want your business, find another one that does. It might create more work for you, and raise your costs if you have to walk away from a good deal, but after giving away $40,000 in dolls, I hope you guys learned your lesson. Be honest and up front, and get it in writing that if the landlord wants to evict you over a media circus, they have to give you 30 days and perhaps even compensate you for breaking your lease early.

My advice for dealing with this setback is to find out who all of these adult shops and strip clubs work with, and work with them. Obviously nobody seems to have a problem with them, so just do business with the same people they do business with.

Congrats to the people winning the free sex dolls. That’s pretty cool.
