In working on SSV4, I feel like stepping away from Point City has temporarily cut off a lot of open threads. I know the core of what I want the book's plot to be, but you guys have been guessing at what's going to happen next in Dragon and Dungeon and left me more than a few times going 'damn, I wish I thought of that'.

So, I'm shamelessly asking you all what are you looking forward into SSV4 so I can steal your ideas to weave in around the main plot I have in mind.

No promises I can include everything.

Since you've introduced alternate POV chapters, I'd like to see over the course of the book the mayor / general(?) slowly come to the realization that Void isn't dead, and as paranoia / panic in them begins to ratchet up, an opportunity to meet with Cerberus comes up. So they go to the meeting and either Void is sitting there waiting instead, or he comes in after them, apologizes for being late, that sort of thing. I think the dawning realization that all they did was wake a sleeping dragon they had repeatedly been told to let lie would be interesting. And then maybe have him suck them into black holes slowly over the city to drive home the fact that all their lives rely on his grace. Maybe not so much that last part, but he's put up with a lot of shit recently, and it'd be nice to see a real push back from a "god".

I apologize for the delay in response, but I was under the impression that there was interest in not just what we wanted to see in further books; but also our ideas about how it could possibly happen. So I wanted to take at least a few days to really mull it over and come up with a logic path to accompany the story beats I would like to see. - So we know that the military has secured the body of particular supers for study, including Fortress. Which means there is a high probability that they took other bodies from the incident as well. Miles has been experimenting with mapping out particular powers to successfully confer certain abilities via the “monster fruit”. Kim has “immortal” regeneration, though we have yet to see it in action. If Kim were to deliver to Miles the body of his high school sweetheart, or knowledge of it’s location. Theoretically Miles could map Kim’s regeneration to her “mostly dead” body, allowing her to be resurrected. If she is theoretically too damaged following the original incident, either Miles’ memory of the event could be incorrect due to trauma. Or the military may have made their own efforts to revive her, leaving her in a state that the “monster fruit” could be successfully utilized. This could potentially also allow Kim to heal psychologically from both allowing Miles to “punish” (hurt) her, to map out how her power works. And provide him with some degree of restoration of what he lost in her failure to stop Fortress on her own. - Miles could potentially utilize his ability to alter powers to strip powers off the X chromosome of men. This would theoretically remove the increased probability of offspring getting the powered X chromosome from their fathers; and thus being females. Doing so in this fashion would create a solution to the birth ration problem without adding a power to the Y chromosome (and balancing out the weighted distribution in the other way). This also allows Miles to showcase the military as being hypocrites who are pursuing power for their own sake, not to save the species if/when they reject this solution. Should Miles then later figure out how to empower the Y chromosome, he could offer this option only to those who have volunteered to have all their powers taken to increase the chance of having sons. If Miles pursues this line of research it would also provide a reason to bring the rest of his office team onboard with his secretive operations without requiring them to join his family in the more direct fashion; as he would need a male volunteer with his own potential harem to serve as an experimental group. Incorporating this plot line might require at least a few month time skip at some point to show the results of the experimentation. Though I would still like to see those who are really interested in Miles join his harem. - As we see more of the world it certainly seems that the logical direction of the power escalation is the formation of independent city states ruled by a “royal” family in each city. It would interesting to see any potentially related plot-lines, like potential political marriages. Even if not to Miles directly, it is likely that there would be interest in any of his future children in arraigned marriages to secure allies. Particularly if it is noted that he has resolved the gender ration issue and is thus more likely to have sons to enter into such arrangements.
