After a long night of chatting with Fayeth, I was starting to understand her better.

She’d been living a generally sheltered life, and received her class about six months ago.

As soon as the elves had discovered she was a Saintess, she had been sent to what I considered a monk’s cloister to train with the glaive and hone her abilities. The strict elderly woman had kept it very regimented.

With a day of classes and dungeon diving ahead, I was excited to get to the latter. I wanted to see her in action.

Starting to move to get up, I found myself trapped by warm, soft flesh. The smell of springtime filled the air, which normally would be lovely, but at the moment had me very confused.

“Fayeth, what are you doing in my bed?” I asked the elf as she snuggled closer.

“Sleeping. Shhh.” She murmured sleepily and then her soft snores continued.

“Why are you sleeping in my bed?” A part of me had been at attention from the night's rest, but I was finding it growing firmer with her pressed up against me.

Fayeth wiggled against me, only making it worse. “Shhh.” She moved her hand forward, eyes still closed, and brushed it down my face as if she could entice me to close my eyes and go back to sleep.

Still confused, I started to untangle myself from the elf, but she clung to me to the point that when I stood up from bed, she was still holding on.

I’d slept in my boxers, but at that moment I found out that Fayeth slept in the nude.

“Cold. Bed. Sheets.” Fayeth rubbed against me like she was trying to get more of my warmth.

“You need to wake up or we are going to be late for class.” I tried a different tactic.

A groggy, beautiful elf peered up at me from where she clung. A small smile crossed her face and filled her bleary eyes. “My Fieore. Good morrow.” She looked around the room, squishing her face together as she dove back into my shoulder for darkness.

Sighing, I pried her off of me and placed her back on the bed, heading over to the closet.

I went to grab my clothes, realizing that something was different. My clothes were all bunched together tightly, and I didn’t have nearly enough for that to be the case.

I looked for what changed, finding a bunch of elven looking clothes sitting in the back of my closet.

“Did you move in?” I asked in shock.

Fayeth ambled past me, slipping on a dress as she let out a big yawn.

She turned to me, smiling at my still nearly nakedness. “Of course, My Fieore. Our souls have started to harmonize, and the more time we spend together, the faster we can become one. Physically sleeping together is great for that.”

She didn’t seem to notice my stunned face as she stretched her arms, pulling her hair out from under the jacket and fluffing it a little. Pivoting around to check herself from multiple angles, she nodded and walked right past me back into the bedroom. She did look beautiful.

“Come on. If you are going to get me up, then we are going to get food.” Fayeth called over her shoulder.

I grabbed a pair of pants and shirt out of the closet and hurried to get dressed.

When I finished and walked out, she straightened my collar for a moment and patted down my front. “You are very handsome Ken. As your Fieore, I’ll make sure you look your best.”

I stood stunned. Somehow, I had acquired an elven housewife in a single day.

“Thank you.” I didn’t really know what to say.

But the simple statement must have been good enough because she beamed at me with a brilliant and satisfied smile.

We left my room and headed downstairs.

Crimson was, as usual, making breakfast. “Morning, Ken. You move quickly. Already bunking with your Fieore?” Crimson put a giant omelet down in front of me.

“She snuck in last night.” I replied, stabbing off a giant piece of omelet and sticking it into my mouth. If I didn’t, I was probably going to put my foot in my mouth. I was a little grumpy from the morning surprise.

“It’s where I belong. We need to harmonize our souls. What are we learning in class today, Teacher Crimson?” Fayeth looked at the dangerous adventurer with eyes full of wonder.

“How to not die. That’s the lesson most days.” Crimson deadpanned. “Just don’t let Ken die this afternoon when you go into the dungeon.”

“Yes Ma’am.” Fayeth nodded and poked at her waffle a few times before chipping off a crispy edge and trying it. She squinted at it, as if assessing it, before nodding and plopping another hunk into her mouth.

“Most people put fruit or syrup on it.” I pointed to the sugary goodness in the middle of the table. Fayeth picked up the bottle, tilting her head as she studied it for a moment before squirting far too much on her waffle.

She dipped a finger into the syrup, placing it carefully on her tongue. Her eyes lit up.

Grabbing her fork, she scooped a hunk of sugar-coated waffle and stuffing it into her mouth.

“Oh my.” Her eyes went wide. “That is very sugary. This is a desert? Do humans have dessert before the main course?”

Crimson sat down with us and her own stack of waffles. “No. Adventurers require a lot of calories.” She managed to keep a straight face as she completely smothered her waffles in syrup.

I had to work to not roll my eyes. We had to go through a bottle of the stuff every breakfast with how Crimson ate. I was fairly certain that Crimson just used that as an excuse to eat whatever she wanted.

“Crimson, how did the negotiations go after I left?” I had hoped that our conversation with Adeane had helped things.

“Good.” She didn’t elaborate further. “I got the data for your class from him last night, and I gave it to the UG without too much explanation behind the class. So, the UG and Haylon don’t know its significance to the elves.”

“They have to guess there’s something to it after how everything went down yesterday.” I pointed out.

She only shrugged, “Better guessing than actually knowing. It’s registered as the Emperor class. If you haven’t checked, you should now.

I laughed. The name itself seemed like a bit of a tipoff. But I figured she was right. They still didn’t know the details.

I opened up my CID, and my heart fled up to my throat as I saw Class: Emperor under my name.

“Thank you.”

“Not a problem.” Crimson waved it off. “Now, go show Fayeth around. And don’t be late to class.”

Her words made Fayeth lose interest in her waffle. “Yes. I want to see Haylon.” She scooted back and hurried around the table. She grabbed my arm, dragging me out of the chair.

“Have fun.” Crimson waved at me.

I got my feet under me and slowed Fayeth down. “Hold on. Let’s start in this direction. The gym is that big building.”

“Show me. We have an hour before class because you woke me up so early.” Fayeth frowned a little as she yawned again.

I normally used the morning time to warm up so I wouldn’t be rusty, but I decided to let it go for one day.

“This way then.” I held out my arm for her to hook onto.

She frowned at my arm. “What is it I’m supposed to do?”

“Put your arm through mine. It’s seen as a romantic way to walk together.” I explained.

“Oh.” She hooked her arm into mine. “I like it. I can feel how firm your arm is, and it makes me feel safe and protected. How does it make you feel?” She asked, looking up at me.

“I feel like the luckiest man in the world with such a beautiful woman on my arm.” And I had two others as well. My grandpa would be preening with pride if he could see me at that moment.

We walked a little in silence as Fayeth took in everything around us, and my head wandered off in thought.

The words from Fayeth’s father about their first Emperor echoed in my mind. He’d apparently taken women from each clan he conquered and made himself more powerful with them. Somehow, he’d manage to give them some part of his skills as well.

And they’d become loyal to him, supporting him in his broader conquest.

“What are you thinking about?” Fayeth asked.

I looked over, realizing she’d been watching me for a while. “Your father told me some stories of your First Emperor. Particularly that he somehow shared his strength with his women and… the sheer number he implied.” I paused. “You also said that the current heir also has this class. Is he forming a large harem yet?”

Fayeth giggled. “No. She isn’t.” The elf on my arm emphasized the gender. “So far, she’s been fairly cloistered. I’ve only seen her three times. Twice were big fancy dinners. Then once she stepped up in front of the public and showed off her absorb. That was when our people knew that despite the threats against us, another Trelican had risen. We would be okay. From that point on, she’s been in intensive training from what I understand. She dives the dungeon from the palace's personal dungeon entrance.”

Listening to Fayeth’s words, I couldn’t help but wonder if it was almost too convenient that the heir became a symbol of hope for them just when they were struggling with the threat of the naga. But I didn’t voice it. I only had her words to go off of and the suspicious circumstances.

“As for you.” She continued. “You can have as many women as you want. I just need to be able to have time with you. When you proposed to me, I wasn’t expecting it. I’d read that it can often take some time in human culture, but I understand now that Crimson had been arranging a marriage in the background. I have to admit, I got a little swept up in the moment when I said yes, but I knew it was the right decision when you showed me Absorb.”

She wiggled her fingers to draw my attention to the low level magical ring. “I know we will come across more impressive rings as we dive deeper, but this one is special to me.” She let out a heartfelt sigh.

I just nodded dumbly. It had been an accident, but now it was official.

“I’m happy that I was able to talk in more detail about the arrangement with your father.” I squeezed her arm. “He’s in full agreement.”

“Of course he is. The second he steps back on elven soil, he’s going to run up and down the palace halls screaming that I’m to be married to the human Trel— Emperor.” She frowned and adopted the new name, even if the elven word kept coming to her mind.

I smiled, appreciating that she was investing so much in making us work and adapting to our traditions.

I wasn’t sure she was right about her father immediately proclaiming it, given that he’d hesitated at having me use the CID and have it send the data back, but I didn’t want to get into that with Fayeth.

“But we still have a long way to go. Harmonizing souls and everything.” I quickly followed up my first statement.

Fayeth made a noise of agreement. “It is very important our souls are in harmony. The other Saintess ladies talked about the power of harmonizing your soul with your lover. It is a glorious feeling, one that can barely be conveyed with words.” She leaned against my arm. “One day.”

I wondered if the other Saintesses were really that into this elven idea of harmonized souls, or if they just didn’t want to talk about sex in front of the sheltered girl.

Either way, I was open to exploring it with her and getting to know her better.

“Anyway, here’s the gym.” I opened the door to the massive structure, revealing the ever changing landscape within it.

“Wow.” Fayeth stepped around me and got a full view of the place. “It’s like you could pick and choose the scenery for a picnic of any sort.”

I chuckled. “That’s not what it’s for.” The idea of picnicking seemed like an extravagant waste for such a large and well kept facility.

But it did make me wonder what sort of facilities they had at an Emperor’s palace that ruled their entire world. “This building exists for training for the dungeon. It allows adventurers to exercise or fight in the various environments they might find within the dungeon. What do the elves use?”

She tilted her head curiously. “You prepare for fighting in all environments by making sure your abilities are perfectly honed.” She stared around the area.

“Well, we work to make sure we are adaptable.” I replied. “Normally, I do a little practice here in the mornings to make sure I don’t get rusty.”

Fayeth’s eyes lit up. “I’d like to watch. I’d like to understand how you fight.”

I scratched at my cheek. “Well, if that’s what you want.” Pulling out my sword and dagger, I took a few steps away from her and moved through a simple kata to get my blood flowing.

She eagerly clapped only a few moves into my practice. “Wonderful.”

I felt awkward. What I was doing wasn’t very impressive at all, so it felt like unearned praise.

I sped up the pace, working myself into a more advanced form. I battled invisible enemies as I spun and danced with my two blades, shredding dungeon monsters that didn’t exist.

When I finished the last one, a faint sheen of sweat beaded on my brow.

Fayeth was watching as still as a stone. “Incredible. You move so fluidly, yet you stab a lot.”

“How do you train with your weapon?” I asked. Part of me wanted to see her fight with that glaive again, how she used it changed drastically from what I was used to when she had her shield out.

“I sparred with the old ladies a lot.” She replied.

“Want to spar?” I offered.

She wrinkled her nose. “No. I’ll get plenty of practice in the dungeon later today. I want to watch you.”

I sighed and straightened my shirt before moving from one form to the next. I lost myself in the motions.

Whenever I finished a set, Fayeth complimented me profusely.

When I was done, she made an offer. “I can help you change. Your clothing is looking a little sweaty.”

I pulled at my shirt. “It’s not too bad. I should probably shower anyway.” I didn’t have a spare change of clothes in my CID. So wiping down with a rag might be all I could do.

Fayeth pulled out a neatly folded set of my clothes from her form of a CID. “What sort of Fieore would I be if I didn’t have your back in all things.” Next, she pulled out a wet washcloth.

“Oh, uh. Thanks. I’ll go behind that tree.” I reached for the washcloth, but she pulled it away.

“Nonsense!” She shouted a little too loud. Though there was no one directly around us, I knew I wasn’t the only person to use the gym in the morning.

I patted the air. “Please be quiet. No need to shout.”

Fayeth stood her ground, holding the washrag to her chest. “Get out of those clothes and let me wash you down.”

Sighing, I went along with her. Technically we were engaged, and she’d slept naked next to me. If she wanted to wash me, I could humor her.

I moved over to where two pine trees made a decent cover and stripped.

Fayeth watched me closely, her attention fixating on the sleeping dragon between my legs. “Umm… turn around. I’ll wash your back first.”

I did so, and with shaking hands, she pressed the cloth to my back and began to scrub off any sweat.

I wasn’t sure how to interpret the shaking. “Are you sure you want to do this? I can do it myself.”

“Washing together is important.” Fayeth answered, a slight stutter in her voice.

I waited, trying to let her back out, but she just continued washing my back.

When she finished, I turned around.

Once again, her eyes dipped low and she swallowed before using the cloth to wipe down my chest and my arms.

Moving down onto her knees, she moved lower. Swallowing hard, she avoided my crotch and wiped my legs, but I could see her eyes keep darting back to the area she’d avoided.

“I can do the rest.” I offered.

She hesitated, her face filling with focus as she wiped once along my cock.

It twitched at her touch, threatening to rouse at the stimulation. Thankfully, it had been satiated when Des had inspected my seal.

She let out a little yelp when it twitched. “Is it supposed to do that?”

I went to respond when the pine rustled and a face I hadn’t seen since the first day came around with her baton at the ready.

“I knew it. I knew you were up to no good!” She shouted. “What are you doing to the poor elf?” The red haired girl from the security council who had chased me on that first day appeared.

“It isn’t what it looks like.” And as I looked at us, I realized it looked terrible. We were in a secluded area. I was naked, and Fayeth was on her knees in front of me.

Fayeth looked cute and confused, her face twisting back and forth between the red headed guard and me.

“I think it’s exactly what it looks like.” The red-head pointed the baton threateningly at my exposed member. “Th-that thing is out!”

She swung her baton at me, and the move seemed to help Fayeth make up her mind on what was happening. She stepped in the way, creating a shield and intercepting the blow.

“You do not attack my Feiore!” Fayeth shouted and pushed the other girl back.

“He’s twisted you with his corruption already! Stand back and let me purge his evil from the campus.”

With Fayeth shielding me, I slipped on a pair of pants. “Look, there’s no evil here. You just were too nosey for your own good.”

“I saw what you were doing to the elf.” The girl accused me from the other side of Fayeth.

The elf frowned. “I was washing my Fieore, as it is my right to do. Do not interrupt us again. He was training and got sweaty. It is my role as his Fieore to insure his good health.”

The security girl frowned, faltering for a moment before straightening her spine back up. “Either way, he was naked and the security council is going to bring him in for questioning.”

I sighed. I didn’t have time for her nonsense.

Stepping around Fayeth, I was swift and sure of my strike as I hit her in the back of the head with a chop.

The girl’s eyes rolled up into her head as she collapsed to the ground.

“What a headache.” I rubbed at my forehead.

Fayeth stepped over the girl, and put a finger at each of my temples, massaging slowly. “Oh, no! Let me help you with the headache.”

“Thats…” Her fingers actually felt really good and I let out a relaxed sigh. “That feels really good.”

“That’s it.” She briefly stopped as she repositioned her hands and rubbed at my temples. “Just relax, my Fieore.”

“We have to deal with her though.” I pointed at the unconscious security council girl laying on the ground. “I don’t even know her name.”

“You two have history?” Fayeth asked.

“Sort of.” I moved out of her hands, needing to handle my newest problem.

Grabbing the girl’s arm, I hoisted her up over my shoulder and made sure she was still breathing before we headed off. “Let’s take her to the nurses office and say we found her this way.”

“But that’s a lie.” Fayeth blinked at me a few times.

“Yes, it is a lie. One we are telling to protect ourselves.” I reasoned. No doubt the girl would wake up and try to cause trouble.

Fayeth stared at me for a few seconds. “But we did nothing wrong. Telling the truth is always the best option.”

Not wanting to argue with her, I let it go. “Let’s just get her to the nurse’s office.”

AN - Getting towards the end here. Going to do a small plot to wrap it up, but ultimately this story will be a little more continious.
