Zach hadn’t realized just how much his life in Philly would change when he helped a beautiful woman after her small biking accident. He’d dismissed her orange eyes as a moment of confusion, but that moment with Scarlett was the start of his introduction into a new world.

Bumbling about in a world he barely understood, Zach made a misstep with an elf, landing himself in a duel. Without the famed warrior Morgana Silverwing, he probably would have lost. But the drow vampiress took him under her protection and helped him develop his paranormal skills.

Slowly, they pieced together Zach’s supernatural nature, from fire breathing to supernatural strength. While he hadn’t achieved a full shift, they began to believe he was one of most important paranormal species for their ability to produce mana: a dragon.

Working side by side with Morgana as a mercenary brought him deeper into the paranormal world. While investigating a new drug, Zach found himself up against a pack of werewolves being led into violence. Zach had no choice but to take down the alpha, Chad, and temporarily hold the connection to the broader pack. And in the process, he began a friendship with Jadelyn, a beautiful siren who had an arranged engagement with Chad.

But after taking down Chad, one mystery remained. Who was the skinwalker that escaped the drug warehouse?

Most of the semester passed, and Zach built a relationship with Scarlett. The adorable kitsune blew his mind, and he fell hard. She would always be his first, but it didn’t take long before she started to realize his nature would lead to sharing him with others, even before she knew he was a dragon. But for a time, he was only hers.

When the Order of the Magi came into town at the same time as the swamp troll migration, Zach and Morgana were enlisted to keep the swamp trolls migrating from the Great Lakes to Florida.

The usual work of diverting hungry trolls at night and running security during the day turned more problematic as the troll occurrences seemed more calculated.

Zach makes a new friend in Sabrina the succubus and we learn more of Morgana’s past in the war with the church from the 17th century.

The Magi and Paranormals were already in a tense situation, and the trolls weren’t making it any easier.

All the while, Zach was still struggling with the death of the wolf Alpha and his new status among them. Some wanted him to be their alpha, while others wouldn’t accept a non wolf. Their head bitch, Kelly, was pushing for Zach to step up and join them as Alpha.

Zach’s friendship with Jadelyn began turning into something deeper, and blessed by Scarlett, they began a relationship. During a date with Jadelyn, a needed respite from the chaos, there was an attack from the trolls.

In the moment of danger, Zach shifted for the first time into a gold dragon and protectively marked Jadelyn as his mate.

The attack was revealed to once again be the work of a skinwalker, and Jadelyn was at the center of both, giving Zach an urgency to solve this and protect his newest mate.

Zach went to find Kelly to get her help, but what he finds is a pack in chaos. The pack needs an alpha. They want it to be him, but he thinks it should be Kelly. Using his power, he pushed the pack link to her, making Kelly the first female alpha in history.

When another attack occurred against the Order of the Magi, Zach teamed up with a wizard in training, Sabrina, to help him thwart the catastrophic attack. Yet things needed to be solved soon or the Order and the Paranormal of Philly might come to blows.

Zach gets the support of the paranormal council and the hunt is on for the old god Nat’alet who is responsible for the skinwalkers and the attacks on the Order of Magi.

Jadelyn accepts Zach fully and brings him to her siren’s wedding much to her and Scarlett’s father’s disagreement.

Though the two father’s primary disagreement with him is that their daughters and wives won’t tell them just what Zach is.

When they find the forgotten god Nat’alet, they corner him in an abandoned mall and Zach faces off against the god with the support of the Winter Queen.

Unfortunately, Nat’alet has something that the queen wants, and trades it for her to leave the fight.

Left alone Zach and Morgana fight Nat’alet as our favorite dragon continues to master his shifting and discovers he can become a silver dragon as well.

But things aren’t looking good. Morgana reveals her secret, she’s been empowered from drinking archangel blood, but it comes at a cost.

Zach taps into a strange power in his anger and defeats Nat’alet only to nurse Morgana back to health at the cost of his own consciousness.

When he wakes, Morgana is gone.

Like that’s going to stop him. Zach enlists the help of Morgana’s friend T, the crazy elf alchemist, and rushes off to Switzerland and the secret paranormal city of Sentarshaden with Jadelyn, Scarlett and Kelly.

There he sees his first dragon as the second princess of the Highaen family, Yev, is revealed to be a dragon during their winter ceremony honoring the giant tree that looms over and protects the city.

Pushing that aside, Zach hunts down T’s daughter and an injured Morgana.

Then we learn of Morgana’s full history, that her tree was behind enemy lines and that her trip into heaven had left lingering wounds that she only kept at bay by drinking the blood of minor angels.

Determined to help her, the two of them go on a mission to Austria, tracking down Morgana’s tree in a templar base and finding it is being used to sustain a portal between the celestial plane and earth.

Morgana performs a ritual while Zach fights off angels and eats a dragon bone, causing him to grow and gain flight. With Morgana recovered they are off.

They have a harrowing escape from the templars only to learn that the Highaen princesses are being targeted by the group.

In an attempt to meet a dragon and protect the city, Zach gets himself and Morgana hired to protect them.

After a failed attempt on Yev’s life, her sister Tyrande is kidnapped by the nephilim Helena. They pulled out all the stops and a great silver dragon enslaved by the celestials fought in Sentarshaden. If they do the same to Tyrande, then the tree Sentarshaden would be theirs to control.

The dragon recognizes Zach as his king and fights his enchanted enslavement to his death asking in his last moments for Zach to take his power by consuming him.

Zach does so with a wrinkled nose only to discover that he’s growing as he does so and becoming more powerful.

With the Highaen at risk of a leak he denies Yev’s pleas for help with her sister, yet Zach and his team go in alone to save her.

Zach and the girls work together. Morgana steals her tree back and takes their portal to the celestial plane, but not before an archangel appears.

With the portal gone, Helena is freed from her own shackles and turns on the archangel. With her help, Zach defeats the archangel and returns Tyrande to the Highaen family.

Zach’s secret is out and on returning home Rupert, Jadelyn’s father, turns a new leaf and welcomes his son-in-law with open arms as the whole world knows what Zach is.

Even the Bronze King, king of dragons, opens his arms to Zach and calls a conclave of dragons. The message is delivered by two of the Bronze King’s wives and their daughters who are pushed upon him.

Zach heads to the conclave of dragons as things begin to grow more complex. The fae and the paranormal council want his involvement given his new status. But he doesn’t have time before the conclave begins.

On their way to the conclave even the three letter government agencies know who he is, though, not what he is.

The conclave starts with a disaster, a dragon was wounded on the way.

That doesn’t stop them, but they seal the island in preparation for the week-long event that is a reunion among the dragons and negotiations amid the flights.

Dragon’s have a long history, including two reincarnating beings known as Tiamat and Bahamut, Zach fears he might be their son, but that would forebode a great disaster.

Thankfully, there are many lovely dragons eager to meet Zach and distract him from those problems. His first mate, Scarlett is screening ladies and coming under her own strains.

Amid all of this, a murder occurs on the sealed island and who better than Zach and Morgana to figure it out.

When they get too close, they realize a dragon that is supposed to be dead is at the conclave. Zach and Morgana spring into action only for Ikta, the spider queen, reveals herself. She’d long been thought dead by the dragons.

Sealed by Tiamat and Bahamut, she’s back to reclaim her power from the dragon conclave.

After she reclaimed the first half of her power, Zach is in a race to find her second half with the unlikely help of Tiamat’s memory stored in a crystal. Tia asks Zach to call her mom before she’s willing to help.

They race to Tiamat’s hidden hoard on the island, only for Ikta to block Zach’s exit and demand a duel, in the custom of dragons. But what she wants as her prize is him.

Zach slips away into Tiamat’s hoard along with his ladies as they explore mounds of gold, get into a little sticky fun and find the second half of Ikta’s power.

Consuming the second half of her power, Zach boosts his magic, only for it to be used against him in the duel with Ikta.

She tries to use her magic inside of him to control him, and almost succeeds, but our favorite dragon comes through in the end to banish her from the island and conflict with the dragons.

Zach wraps up the conclave, courting Tyrande after already having her sister. The leaders of the dragons push him to take an honor guard home made up of six dragons from the remaining flights.

He returns to Philly with even more women.

Maddie and Frank have had enough and demand answers for all of the strangeness lately and that he suddenly has eight women hanging on his arms with another six following him around.

Zach doesn’t give them a satisfactory answer and their friendships are beginning to fray.
