Hi Again!

Things are still running smoothly on the writing front. I just had a trip with the family and I’m still ahead of schedule for DD2. I think it’ll only get better as I’m starting to dabble into the intros of books ahead of time now. Helping flesh out and mature some of the ideas before I really put the book under my focus.

I’ve been struggling with Mana 4, rewrote the intro several times but I think I’m on track for it now. I needed to parse back the harem a little to make room for it to continue to grow. Because once the harem stops, so does the story. At least that’s my opinion, harem needs to keep growing for it to be haremlit.

LR3 is almost out and it is an exciting one for me. A bit of an experiment, will the series revive a little with the 3rd book? Who knows, it is all fun, anyway.

While the words are cruising forward, I’m hitting a couple snags on artists. I love Yanai who did Mana and Dao’s art so far. However, he’s still part time and with my speeding up and a few other authors picking him up. (David Burke and Hondo Jinx) he’s becoming a bit of a scarce commodity. I’ve upped how much I’m paying him, cause he’s worth it, but there are only so many hours in Yanai’s day at this point.

So LR3 is a one time artist, but Dao and future series I’m trying out two new artists who I think do fantastic work. We’ll see. I work with the artists quite a bit and I’m excited to try out two new cover artists.

Otherwise things are cruising along. LR3 out 7/9. DD2 out 8/9 and Mana 4 out 9/9 followed by Saving Supervillains and possibly Dragon’s Descent. I’m unsure if I’m going to expand the rotation to 4 books but there’s an inkling in my mind that I might do it.

Then again, whenever I mention either Supervillains or Dragon, my wife shakes her head and asks me how I’m keeping everything, including Monstrous Horizons, straight.

MH will remain a sort of hobby endeavor. I might put it up on Kindle Vella when it comes out and keep it behind the Patreon just to do something with the story. Who knows, maybe it’ll have some success there, but I don’t think it is the same type of story I currently put out on KU.

Also, warning I’m going to be taking down LR3 here on the 7th prior to releasing it on Kindle.
