Hello my patrons! I'm still in "catch-up" mode after being sick for multiple weeks, but I'm getting closer to being able to relax a little. (It's like when you take a long vacation at work, you always get home to a huge pile of work, taking away some of the joy of taking a break.)
Here's a video I've wanted to make for a while, I was just waiting for a broken machine with the right fault.
I wanted to show it is possible to do some fixes on 8-bit commodore machines without having any special diagnostic or test tools of any kind. The end result of this fix isn't up to my usual repair, but it got the job done and I did it in a safe way that didn't risk damaging the board.
I'd love to know your thoughts of this one!
