“You do not need to do….” Jasmine did not wish to take Stacey’s money!

“No! I will. After all, I need to take responsibility for what I have done!” Stacey replied with her nose in the air and a look of determination.

“Haha!” Jasmine’s grandfather couldn’t hold back his laughter. He found this girl amusing. “Alright. We will accept what you want to give, but….” He looked firmly at the young girl. “You need to keep at least seventy percent of everything you make. There is no way I will allow you to give up all your money. Just think of it as giving us rent.”

“Okay!” Stacey nodded but quickly tried to figure out how to sneak in more.

“You will show us your paycheck stubs.” The old man knew what the girl was thinking. He had long understood her personality.

“Tch.” Stacey clicked her tongue, making Jasmine’s grandfather let out a jolly laugh.

“Haha… Good girl. Take care of our granddaughter.” He said with a smile.

“I will. As the man of the family, I will never let her come to harm!” Stacey put herself forward as the man in the relationship even though she looked like a doll.

“Pfft!” Jasmine’s grandmother finally broke. To her, Stacey was like a little kid jumping up and down, asking for candy. But she was happy that Stacey was the one Jasmine ended up with. She was very cute and was very good to her granddaughter. Stacey’s cheeks turned red as she looked at the two old people in front of her, smiling away while stifling their laughter. But she was also happy. They accepted her.

Only Jasmine, who was forgotten about, was standing there trying to figure out why everyone was making decisions without her! She sighed and said: “Let’s go eat!”

It was after work that day that Jasmine made plans to meet up with Stacey’s mother early the next morning. She set her alarm so that she and Stacey could get up at five a.m. When the alarm went off, Jasmine knew Stacey would not wake up, so she put some panties, pants, and a sweatshirt on Stacey before getting dressed herself. Stacey only woke up with the cold chill of the outside and finally settled in, and that was only when they were standing in front of her apartment door. “Hmm? Why my house?”

“Awake? I told you yesterday we are here to meet your mom.” Jasmine replied, feeling helpless. She pulled the hoodie that fell off Stacey’s head back up and pulled the strings to keep it on a bit longer.

“Oh….” Stacey walked forward, buried her face into Jasmine’s chest, and fell back asleep. As long as Jasmine’s scent was there, she could fall asleep anywhere.

“Stacey? Jasmine?” A voice called out to them. Jasmine turned to see picture picture-perfect reflection of what Stacey would look like in the future, walking over.

“Miss Norland!” Jasmine’s voice squeaked since she was surprised.

“You two are here. I hope you did not wait long. Actually, why didn’t you go…. Is she sleeping!?” Helen Norlan, Stacey’s mother, sighed as she looked at the girl hugging Jasmine. But she felt something was slightly off at the same time. She just couldn’t put her finger on it.

Jasmine scratched her head and nodded. “Yeah…. She did not want to wake up and is now sleeping again.”

“Well, come in.” Helen sighed and wondered just what she should do with this girl.

Jasmine lifted Stacey up by her waist, hugging her to her body, and entered the apartment. She went to the living room and sat down on the couch where Stacey habitually crawled on top of Jasmine, hugged her, and pushed her face into her neck, all while mumbling: “My Jas….”

“This girl… you would think that you two were dating.” Helen let out a defeated sigh as she looked at her daughter. But when her eyes met Jasmine’s eyes that showed a guilty expression, Helen froze before asking: “Are you two dating?”

“Ah…. Mmm….” Jasmine did not know what to say. Her little fox was leaving her hanging here!

“I see…” Helen sat down and held her head. “Since when….”

“A few days we became official,” Jasmine replied with her head lowered. She felt like she was about to either get slapped or yelled at.

“I see. Well…” She sighed and looked at Jasmine’s beautiful face and felt maybe it wasn’t too bad. If she was younger, she too might fall for Jasmine with how she acts more tomboyish, yet is still a girl. “As long as you two are happy. I really can’t tell her not to date someone. I already failed as a mother since Stacey has always had to be alone. Now, she had you to keep her company, so this is for the best. I guess the best part is that you can’t have kids….”

“Umm… At first, I did not expect anything like this, but we kind of just clicked. I mean, not very long ago, I confessed to a boy. I never thought about dating a girl. But when Stacey and I are together, when we spend time together, we both feel that this was how it always should have been. This kind of feeling is hard to explain.” Jasmine explained suddenly. She did not know why she was saying all of this, but she felt like she had to.

“Jas…” Helen smiled ast Jasmine. “That’s called love.”
