Jasmine was quite happy she was right and had completed her mission, but this did not mean things were all okay just yet. “Come on, I will walk you out.”

“Sir… Umm…..” The woman was very grateful, but now she was worried that she had gotten the young man in a lot of trouble.

“Uh…. I am a girl….” Jasmine furrowed her brows as she pulled her face mask, hat, and hoodie off, revealing her shoulder length black hair. She did not wish to be mistaken for a boy again!

When she did, the woman’s eyes went wide. The girl was a beauty! “I’m sorry. I thought you were a man since your voice just now….” Now that she realized it, the low voice this girl was using before was now gone.

“I had no choice then. I had to deal with things, and when I get mad, I have a habit of lowering my voice. I guess covering myself up doesn’t help either. And my breasts…. Well, forget it.” The more she spoke, the more Jasmine became depressed.

The woman felt like she might have stepped on a landmine, so he quickly changed the subject. “I have nothing on me. I would need to go back to my car to get my purse, but I do have a business card on me. Can you give me your number?”

“Phone? Yeah, a house one, but it’s fine. I didn’t do this for any kind of reward.” Jasmine did not take the card. She did not come to be a hero without a cause she had only known she had to come since she had a mission for it.

“At least take my card. If the person who set this up finds out about you and causes you trouble, call me right away. Hopefully, by then, I will have it taken care of.” The woman pushed the card into Jasmine’s hands. Jasmine sighed and took a look at it. When she read the name on the card and saw the company logo, Jasmine was surprised.

The woman’s name was Gale Winston. She was part of the Winston conglomerate that had its hands in many industries. One of the most prominent businesses was the entertainment industry. They owned a talent agency called Star Entertainment. Even Jasmine knew about it. She realized that the system would probably only ever give her missions related to entertainment. If this was the case she would be very happy!

“I will take this then. Your name is Gale?” Jasmine asked to make sure.

“Yes, it is. So if you need me just call the cell number on the card. It is my private line.” Gale replied.

“Then Gale, my name is Jasmine. Let me take you to the street. I need to head back to school.” Jasmine smiled, catching Gale off guard. Jasmine’s smile blew her away. She did not know why this girl would cover up her beauty like this! Not to mention those moves just now!

Jasmine was not paying attention to Gale as she put her mask back on and tucked her hair back into her hat so she could put her hoodie on. When she was done she escorted Gale to the street and said her goodbyes before running off.

As Gale watched the girl run off she suddenly realized she messed up big! “Damnit! I should have asked her if she would like to sign! No! I need to talk to my husband. I need to find that girl. She has star potential!”

School went by without a hitch. Jasmine walked Stacey to work before heading to work herself. At nine, Stacey walked through the doors with a big smile on her face as she raced behind the counter and sat down in the chair that had been put out by Jasnmine’s boss just for her.

“How was work?” Jasmine asked.

“It was boring! So many dishes! Mama Claire won’t let me out on the floor because she says I am too cute and might get kidnapped.” Stacey replied. She sat in her seat and pulled at the strings on her hoodie which was not actually hers but Jasmine’s.

“I can see that. You are very cute after all.” Jasmine replied honestly. She did not see a reason not to be honest here.

“Hehe!” Stacey did not know why but when Jasmine called her cute just now it really made her feel good. She had been told she was cute by many people, especially boys, but she never felt all that happy about it. But when Jasmine said it, it brought a smile to her face.

The two chatted about this and that. Jasmine did not tell Stacey about the incident earlier. After she locked up the store, Stacey clung to her arm as they walked down the streets under the cool fall night. The moon was high in the sky and shinned down, lighting their way.

“You know, since the two of us became friends, my lonely life has finally become much brighter. I look forward to going home and spending time at your house. I even get to talk to my mother more now as well, which is nice. Jasmine thanks for helping me that day and becoming friends with me.” Stacey felt very happy. She felt lucky to have met someone like Jasmine. If she had to keep going as she did, she did not know what would have happened to her. Maybe that guy would have forced himself on her, and then she would not have wanted to even leave the house. But now, every day, she looked forward to spending her free time with the person next to her.
