“Don’t make me puke. I am not so hard up for a girl that I would want to touch one who sleeps around.” The chubby spat in disdain. He looked at The young woman on the ground and felt disgusted just looking at her. 

“I see… Well… since that is the case, I guess there is nothing we can do.” Yi Ning turned around and looked at the young woman, and bowed her head. “I am sorry. Although you did all of this to catch the man you love’s attention, I was unable to make a match. But of course, as per the contract, you still need to pay me.”

“What!? Why would I pay you!?” The young woman heard money and immediately went to the money, ignoring the parts that would ruin her reputation. Now, it made her seem like she was trying to get out of paying Yi Ning for all the work she put in to try and match make her.

“Miss Di, you should really pay people for their hard work. From what I can tell, she really did try her hardest for you.” Another young woman stepped forward. She seemed to know the young lady.

“You! Xia Min, you dare to speak up for this bitch!?” The young woman, Miss Di, was Prime Minster Di’s daughter, Di An. She glared at Xia Min with hatred in her eyes.

“Screaming like a shrew will not change the fact that you owe Miss Ying money. From what I heard, you offered to pay her five thousand silver. You should pay for services. This is the law of this country.” Xia Min walked over and stood next to Yi Ning. She was a whole head shorter than Yi Ning but Yi Ning could tell this girl was pretty strong. 

“You!” Di An glared at the two girls and then at the crowd that was staring at her and felt something was very wrong. She did not know why but it felt like this whole situation was strange. “Wait! I never asked Yi Ning for anything!”

“How can you say that!? Everyone saw how much work I put into everything for you! I said everything according to the script!” Yi Ning looked aggrieved. She lowered her head and bit her bottom lip. Her eyes began to turn red. This, of course, got her many sympathetic looks from the crowd. 

“Miss Di, pay the girl the money you owe!” 

“Yeah, pay her the money!”

Even the chubby man before snorted and said: “So you are not even going to pay her just because I turned you down!? Is this how our prime minister raises their daughter? I think we should all make a complaint to the emperor!”

This was modern times. Even the prime minister could receive complaints, and it had to be looked into. Because of this, Di an face kept changing expression and color. She gritted her teeth, reached into her purse, and pulled out a check. She quickly wrote down five thousand and signed it before throwing it Yi Ning and storming off but not before yelling: “I will remember this!”

She preferred her pride and reputation more than anything else. Five thousand silver was nothing! It was not until she got halfway down the road after storming off that she realized she had just ruined her own reputation since she did not deny anything! She turned and glared in Yi Ning’s direction with murderous intent in her eyes. She wanted to kill Yi Ning!

Yi Ning looked at the paper in her hand with a wrinkled nose. What was she supposed to do with a piece of paper with the crazy girl’s signature!? “Where is the silver!?”

Bi’er quickly took the check and said: “Don’t worry Young Miss I will go cash it now!”

“Pfft!” Xia Min, who was standing at the side, burst out laughing. “I have never seen Di An get her ass handed to her in such a way before. That was amazing! Hahahaha!”

Yi Ning pursed her lips. She just wanted to make some money to pay for her skewers, but now, thanks to this newcomer, she made more than that! “Thanks for backing me up.” Yi Ning cupped her hands and bowed her head politely. Yi Ning was already a very beautiful girl, so seeing her do things like this made Xia Min freeze for a second and blush. Such a pretty girl was bowing to her! She might just turn gay because of it!

“Ummm… do you still want your skewers?” The stall owner had a troubled look on his face.

“Ah, yes! But my little beauty just went to go cash a check. We forgot to bring money with us.” Yi Ning was not embarrassed at all to admit she forgot money. “Please set them aside. Even if they are cold I will still buy them.”

“This…” The stall owner was surprised and shook his head. “I only sell hot food. Food that should not be cold but is, is not good.”

“It’s fine, really. It’s my fault to begin with.” Yi Ning grew up showing respect to her elders, who deserved such respect in her past life. As such she would not make this man lose any money. 

“This….” The stall owner felt bad but he had to admit it would be a loss for him if they were not paid for.

“How about this? I will pay for them. Since Miss Ying has shown me such a good show, I will pay for them.” Xia Min took out her wallet and took out two silver notes. She looked at Yi Ning and smiled as she said: “Miss Ying, you can consider this my thanks and also me wanting to be friends.”
