“Neo…” Princess Feng narrowed her eyes as she continued: “Did you pay for that chicken wing?”

“Pay!? Why would I pay!? They put them out on the carts for me to take! Why would I pay for it?” Neo did not understand. The carts with free food were all over the city. No one had ever asked for money before. Of course, this was just in her mind, or maybe she just ignored the parts where people had asked her to pay.

“Neo! You can’t go around just taking what you please!” Princess Feng yelled out. She wondered if the poor old lady was alright!

“Don’t yell at Neo!” Mei Ling yelled back out of habit. While she knew that Neo had done something wrong, she still felt there was no need to yell at Neo for it. Things happen!

“Yeah, don’t yell at me!” Neo quickly chose a side. Princess Feng’s expression turned sour. She did not know why, but seeing Neo choosing someone else over her made her very irritated! 

The three continued to chat as the turtle, who was weak in the knees, continued bringing them towards the entrance. The academy master quickly arrived in the mystic realm and went searching for Neo and Princess Feng. But he was shocked when he saw a rank six demonic beast walking towards him. He was going to attack but stopped when he saw three figures sitting on top of it. “This….”

He really did not know what to make of this. He had seen images of Neo many times since she had always caused scenes in the city, but he never thought she was really as strong as they say. But seeing her on top of a rank six demonic beast, he knew for a fact that it was her who subdued it. He knew the new girl and Princess Feng were too weak to do so, so seeing the three chatting away on top of the demonic beast, he could only stand in the air in shock.

“Look, an old man is standing in the air. Should I throw something at him?” Neo asked as she grabbed a demonic beast core from her inventory and brought her hand back, ready to throw it at the old man, when Princess Feng quickly jumped on her. 

“Please do not throw anything at anyone!” Princess Feng cried out. 

“Tch!” Neo clicked her tongue. She felt it would be funny if she bobbed the old man in the head. He might even fall out of the sky!

“Don’t click your tongue either! You would end up killing him!” Princess Feng really wished Neo could get these things through her head!

“Why is he so weak when he is so old!? It’s like that one old man who came flying at me that one day! I slapped him, and he exploded!” Neo grumbled. She still remembered the old man who dared to use magic on her, trying his best to slow her down. But luckily, it did not work! She smacked the old man in the face once, and he exploded! His face was really scary when he looked at her! However, she did regret not holding back since she had to pick a lot of gunk out of her hair for the following days after.

Princess Feng did not know how to answer! She wondered if Neo realized just how strong she actually was! There were many reasons for forcing Neo into the academy to get her license to go outside the walls. One was so she would learn to hold back a little. A second one was to keep her off the streets of Neo City and out of the palace. A third reason was mainly because her father figured out of sight, out of mind. Let the academy deal with her.

“Ahem…. The strength test is over. Everyone is to leave the mystic realm. I will lead the way.” The academy master did not know what to make of the two girls’ conversation. But he, for some reason, felt as if he might have escaped death just now.

“You heard him, Little Horsey! Follow!” Neo slapped the turtle under her, causing it to almost buckle its legs up under it. 

The academy master did his best to ignore the fact that the rank six demonic beast, under Neo, was looking at him for help. He was not even sure he could help the poor creature! Yes, he actually felt bad for the demonic beast. To fall into Neo’s hands was like asking to be tortured!

Because of how slow the turtle was, it still took them a half hour to reach the mystic realm entrance. The sight of a large demonic beast that was considered out of reach for new students such as them was a surprising scene, especially when there were people riding on top of it. But when they saw the academy master, they all nodded in understanding. The academy master must have subdued the beast. 

And because of this misunderstanding that would never get cleared up, Neo’s true prowess would, for the time being, not be known by many. Only those in the know would still know that Neo was a strange girl who could do many things without an ounce of spiritual qi in her.

Neo jumped off the turtle and stood there looking around. She was quite shocked to see so many people were haggard and looked as if they had been through many brutal battles. She tilted her head to the side and asked: “What happened to them?”
