Neo) Neo Versus Mystic Realm Part 3 (Patreon)

“Academy Master, the barriers between the outer ring, the first ring, and the second ring have all been destroyed….” A middle-aged man reported. He wiped the sweat from her brow. 

“What!? How!?” The old man, who was the Academy Master of the Phoenix Academy, almost fell out of his chair.

“We do not know! There seems to be someone very powerful inside! We are currently trying to evacuate the students. Also… Princess Feng, who has come to the Academy along with a girl named Neo whom the emperor has asked us to take care of, has gone missing.” The middle-aged man replied.

“Did…. Did you just say Neo!?” The Academy Master’s face turned sour. “It’s her! It has to be her!”

“Sir… I do not think a young girl could break….” The middle-aged man wanted to say that there was no way Neo, who was so young, could do such a thing but was instantly hit in the face with a tea cup.

“You idiot! You have no idea what that girl is capable of! That damn emperor pawned her off on to me! I told everyone to pass her on every test! Why the hell is she in the mystic realm!?” The Academy Master did not understand. He had passed down his order to pass her no matter what!

“Academy master…. You only told us to pass her on the first two tests. Not the strength test….” The middle-aged man lowered his head. He could not be seen at fault here. He had always done what he was ordered to do!

“This….” The Academy Master quickly searched his emails and found the one he sent out. Only then did his face pale. He really had only said to pass her on the first two tests! While he wanted to curse, he could only curse himself. “Quickly get the disciplinary team to find Neo and the Princess. No matter what, we can not allow those two to get harmed in any way. If they are, we will lose our heads!” 

Meanwhile….

“Mr. Horsey, why are you running so slow?” Neo, who was on top of a giant turtle, was a bit disappointed. She stumbled upon this huge turtle as she walked further into the forest. It had been fighting with another demonic beast, which was a huge bird. When  Neo saw the turtle’s huge back that looked like a good place to use to take naps while she kept moving toward the mystic realm entrance, she walked over and smacked the big bird into blood mist before threatening the turtle to do the same to it if it did not become her mount.

As for Mr. Horsey, it really wanted to cry. The scary human kept calling it weird names and smacked its shell. Each time it did that, its legs would almost give out. It was much smarter than normal demonic beasts since it was a rank six demonic beast, so it understood the human’s words, but it did not understand what it meant by going faster! It was already moving as fast as possible!

Neo was bored. She had no idea how long she had been on top of this turtle, but she knew one thing, with how fast it was going, it would take her a year to reach her destination. “Hey, Mr. Horsey, are you going in the right direction? We need to head to the exit!” 

Mr. Horsey had no idea where the exit was! It was already scared to death. The damn human knew how to slap beasts on the same level as it into blood mist. It did not wish to anger the scary human, so it could only nod its head in answer and hope that it would get lucky and go in the right direction.

While Neo was riding the turtle, Princess Feng was still fighting with Mei Ling. “Why are you still following me!?”

“This is not your property! I can go wherever I please!” Mei Ling snorted. If she knew that the person she had been looking down on this entire time was the princess of Neo City, she would probably be very much scared at this moment and time. But since Princess Feng was hiding her identity, Mei Ling was oblivious to this. She did not mind giving Princess Feng an attitude. 

In a way, while Princess Feng was very much angered due to the circumstances, she did not mind being talked to normally. To her, it was a refreshing change. She was happy she came to the academy in disguise. But the most pressing matter of all was finding Neo! She wanted to tear her hair out. She did not know why the damned girl did not know how to stay put.

But what she did realize was that she was on the right path! It was not hard to follow the death that was left behind by Neo. All she had to do was look for the mangled mess left behind.

“This is a Rock Bird! This is a ranked six demonic beast! But….” Mei Ling cried out in surprise. She only knew what it was since the head was still intact. The rest of the body was nowhere to be seen. Just a ground sprinkled with bloody feathers.

“This way!” Princess Feng saw the large foot prince in the ground, and with her Neo thought process running on max, she knew which way the stupid girl went!
