Mei Ling did not answer Princess Feng but instead asked a question of her own. “Shouldn’t you introduce yourself first before asking others who they are? I mean, you came over yelling at Neo for no reason. She did not do anything wrong, to begin with, but yet you are scolding her? Why? Are you her wicked step-sister or something?”

Princess Feng, who had never been talked to like that before, was speechless! She wondered if this girl was okay in the head. This was Neo they were talking about! Neo, the person who walked around town groping cute girls’ butts and blaming it on the man behind them! Princess Feng also felt a little stifled that someone would even stand in front of Neo and protect her. This was her job! No one could take it away! 

Princess Feng did not even realize her own thought process. She only glared at the girl and said: “Who I am does not matter. All you need to know is that Neo is under MY care and that what we talk about is none of your business. Now step aside.”

“Nope!” Mei Ling gave Princess Feng a mocking smile, not caring about what Princess Feng said. She disliked when others looked down on people just because they had a higher status.

Neo turned to look at the woman and raised an eyebrow. Her body disappeared as she reappeared next to the woman holding her hand and had her arm around her waist. “Beauty, how would you like to spend a night on the town?”

The woman was shocked because she had never even seen Neo move. It took her a few seconds to even react to the fact that Neo was now holding her hand. But before she could even say anything, she watched as the girl was suddenly dragged away by two others. 

“Neo! What are you doing!?” Both Princess Feng and Mei Ling shouted at the same time. The two then looked at each other, snorted, and turned their heads away. But they did not let go of Neo’s arm.

Neo, on the other hand, was not very happy. “But the Beauty….”\

“I see… So you are Neo….” The woman suddenly said. “I am Elder Ning. Neo, I will remember you. Good luck with your test.” With that, Elder Ning flew off into the air. She already felt a bit weird after Neo suddenly manhandled her without her even being able to do anything. 

“Alright, everyone, gather around!” Another elder walked over. He was a middle-aged man who had just started growing a beard. And even though it was only about an inch long, he still stroked it as if it was like the old men who never showed themselves.

All those who passed the first round of testing were now standing ready for the next test. The middle-aged man looked at everyone standing there and snorted in disdain. “The strength test is a test to truly see how strong you are.” 

After saying this, he stomped his foot, and a red portal opened behind him. “Beyond this portal is the academy’s hidden mystic realm. The outer rim is used for testing the abilities of the new disciples trying to join. Even if you are to die in this realm, no one will care. Once you step through this portal, your life is your own. Rank one demonic beasts can be found in the outer rim. You will all have three days; get as many rank-one demonic cores as you can. You must have ten demonic cores to pass the strength test. How you get them is up to you.”

One of his arms was missing, and he limped when he walked. The elder looked at the young man and snorted.
