Life is like a box of chocolates sometimes, you just don’t get what you want. Like when you get one of those chocolate mystery boxes, and all of it is chocolate covered coconut. Not that I hate them, but not my favorite. This fish I am eating is the same as those mystery boxes. It has a flavor that is good but not my favorite. I did use appraisal on it, and it is editable, but the taste is just bleh…. 

It makes me wonder if my taste buds have changed since becoming an ice dragon. Do I need to freeze stuff to make it taste better? I could test it out, but I am afraid of destroying my humble abode. After eating my okay fish, I curled up and went to sleep. My plans for the next day were already set in stone. I would make my new home much more homey!

The next morning I went right to work. I had already acquired many things from the forest, so I began working on making a proper bridge over the rocks that go to my cave. I did not want any more unfortunate run ins with the evil rocks that like to attack the reverse scale. 

I first used my claws to section off the wood to make a railing. I had quite a few long thick logs, so I planned to wedge them into the rocks and then tie the railing and ramp base onto it. I had enough for a railing on both sides which was perfect. I would then use the rest of the wood to make steps. How long this will last, I do not know, but at least it will give me something to do if I need to repair it.

I thought with having claws for hands, I would not be able to do things easily, but it seemed that things were actually going pretty well. I finished the first section of my ramp in two hours after a bit of work trying to wedge the logs in. By mid morning I had finished my ramp, and to be honest, I was quite proud of myself.

I tested it out, and it was not bad. The area the steps were in was fairly dry, with only a bit of splash back from the waterfall. This meant my next task was to fix my bed! I had some extra vines and some large leaves, along with some smaller branches that I planned to use for creating a canopy inside the cave to give myself a perfectly dry spot. I gathered up a lot of leaves as well and let them dry in the sun. So I can use it as bedding. A shut in dragon needs to have her comfy bed!

This was an easy task and only took about an hour to complete. To be honest, I surprised myself with how handy I was. But then again, I wasn’t building anything too extravagant. “Now, this is not bad!” I stretched out on my new bed. I had to test it, after all.

“I guess I should check the forest before it gets dark. I could use some extra ingredients with my fish.” I had yet to eat today. But I did check my nets and saw they had a few fish in them. I did not plan to overeat since a dragon girl has to watch her figure, but I did plan to at least get one filling meal a day. 

I reluctantly got up and left the cave, and headed to the forest. Since I already made a large path, I did not need to create a new one. I just followed the path ai made before and began using appraisal on everything I saw.

For some reason, it is as if the system is yelling at me for using appraisal on useless things…. Not that I care. My makeshift basket was already filled with many different nuts, herbs, and mushrooms. Most of which will need to be dried out so they do not go bad. Although I do wish I had an inventory. Sadly as far as I can tell, I can’t seem to do anything with my system except look at the status window. I do hope I can figure out more about my system later on. Like can I buy skills? I have a spot that says skill points, so that should be for leveling and buying skills, no? I guess that will have to wait until I finally run into a monster. 

I just wished I knew how this world worked. It says I am an F rank monster. According to Isekai knowledge, F rank was the lowest of the low. Which means a slime was probably stronger than me. Unless the system is just messed up, I mean, I can knock over small trees. I can cut logs a few inches thick with my claws or even just snap them in half. If I squeeze a rock, it will turn into dust. 

It’s either bugged with how it says hacked in the system name, or slimes of this world are powerful enough to take on an army by themselves. Now that I think about it, I need to be very wary of humans and other intelligent races. If a slime can destroy a city, then what about them, the ones who hunt the slimes? 

I have no idea since I do not even know if humans or slimes exist in this world….. “Or so I thought….. Appraisal!”
