“Sect Master.” Yuki walked into her immortal cave to find the sect master standing there with a grim expression on his face. But when he heard Yuki’s voice, he looked up as if a ray of hope could finally be seen.

“Your back! Thank the heavens! You are back. I do not know how much longer your mother would have lasted if you did not appear.” Yuki’s sect master quickly ushered her into the room, where Yuki saw her mother lifeless in the bed, staring up at the ceiling.

“Mother, I am home.” Yuki put on a warm smile as she walked over and sat next to the bed. “Your little Yuki, the sneaky little fox is home.”

“Yu… Ki…” Yuki’s mother turned and looked at her. Her lifeless eyes suddenly seemed to gain light once again as she sat up and hugged the slim fox girl in front of her. “My Yuki! My Yuki!”

“Mother.” Yuki had tears in her eyes. The last thing she ever wanted was to make her mother worry herself to death. Yuki gently stroked her mother’s head as her mother let out all her worries and anguish that had built up over the past few years.

“I’m sorry. We got stuck in a time rift after being transported to another world. Everything is fine now. Everyone made it back.” Yuki began to tell her mother everything she had gone through. Slowly and softly sh,e kept stroking her mother’s head.

Cultivators were supposed to let go of the mortal world. Family and friends were nothing but a fleeting moment in the life of a cultivator. But Yuki could not do that. She needed companionship, family, and friends and had no plans to ever give it up.

Things might have been much different for her if she had never met Nana. If she had gone through life as a solo cultivator. Killing those who pissed her off just because. She might have even turned to the demonic sects and become what she hated most.

But because of Nana and everyone else through the years who have helped her keep her mind steady on the goals in front of her, she was able to keep going. Even now. Knowing that she can bring her entire sect with her. Knowing she could bring her entire family along for the ride during her journey to allow them to stand at the top.

Just knowing she could feel at ease that those close to her would never come to harm was enough to allow her to keep going. This was enough. She would do her best to let those she trusted gain the ability to rise up higher than they could ever dream of. Letting them ride her coattails.

After Yuki’s mother finally fell into a deep sleep, Yuki took the sect master aside. “I want to relocate the entire sect into my pocket dimension.”

“Your what!?” Yuki’s sect master was confused. He did not understand what Yuki meant.

“It would be easier to show you.” Yuki waved her hand, creating a tear in space, before taking her sect master’s hand and bringing him through. When they arrived at the walk leading to the immortal cave set up for her wives, she sent out a voice transmission to Delia so that they knew she was back.

“Yuki!” with the girl’s help, Nana made her way over as fast as she could. The smiles on the girls’ faces when they saw Yuki were bright enough to overtake the sun.

“Sorry for the wait. We got stuck in the space tear that would lead us home. I was unable to access the pocket dimension.” Yuki apologized as she pulled each girl into a hug and kissed them.

“Ahem…” Yuki’s sect master was starting to feel awkward. He himself had never had a lover, so he was feeling a bit out of place.

“Sorry, Sect Master, but as you can see, there are plenty of mountains here. There is also denser spiritual qi than out side as well as mana which I can teach you all to use later on. With this I can bring you all to the immortal realm with me when I break through.” Yuki explained her plans and what she had to do to save Nana, as well as the risk of the being that is sealed under the mainland actually breaking free from the seal and destroying everything. There were too many what-ifs, and Yuki did not want to risk it.

“I will bring everyone together. It will be sad that we will be leaving everything we rebuilt, but this is also good for all of us. This will also give those with no talent a chance of rising up with mana.” Yuki’s sect master had never been this excited. He never thought he would ever get to see the immortal realm in his life, and if he was good, he might be able to even breakthrough here.

“Alright. I will send you back and bring my mother in as soon as possible. Let’s get the sect packed up and ready to move in a weeks time.
