Just when i thought i was out... they pull me right back in

The dream imo is Tony is unprepared for what he knows will happen with Tony B. He can’t protect him and doesn’t want to kill him. This episode is the beginning of a crazy ride to the end. Long season 6 which is 21 episodes I believe. The end is legendary. Enjoy it.

I was excited to see a new reaction vid so soon!! Both Michael Imperioli (Christopher) and Drea de Matteo (Adriana) won Emmys for the Long Term Parking episode. Their acting was top notch in the scene where she tells him everything. That episode also won an Emmy for best writing. Also, The Sopranos won the Emmy for season 5 for best dramatic TV series.

Like Dan63 said the dream is about being unprepared to kill Tony B. But parts of it are about his relationship with Carm-like when Tonys on a horse in the house and theyre talking about rules for him moving back, Carm tells Tony "well you cant have your horse in here"-theres actually a double meaning to that, because "horse" and "whores" sounds the same when spoken-so really its Carm telling Tony he cant cheat-or at the very least, his "whores" cant intrude on their life like they used to-Irina calling the house ect. Also, when Chris goes out after Ade confesses, when hes at the gas station-hes not looking at that family thinking "aww that could be me with kids", hes looking at their crappy old car with a bunch of stuff (their posessions?) Tied to the roof, looking raggedy, 3 kids & a wife, all in cheap old clothes, the mom looking run down, the guy looking resigned to his life & miserable- Chris in that moment saw that as his future if he left the mob. He had no belief he could be a square and do well at a square job &be successful bc his whole life hes a crook-& a pretty good crook-yes he fucks up sometimes but he made $ too & was a really good shot, & was loyal. And again-its all he knows how to do. I think for a minute he was somewhat considering leaving & going into the program w/Ade. A little. But i think he was already thinking "nah i cant do that" when he left to get cigs, and then seeing that poor family sealed the deal. As for Ade, she shldve shut up & lawyered up from day 1 - the minute they approached her- and honestly as someone who grew up w/Richie Aprile as her uncle, she knew mob life, she shldve known she didnt have to say a damn thing to the cops-just go home, tell Chris, & he'll get her a lawyer. From a writing standpoint i think the Ade storyline is really flawed, bc a girl like her wouldve known what to do & not do. But anyway. Great reaction as usual, thanks for getting them out so fast

Not chocolate in those bullets — everything turns to shit in Tony's hands.

Even if or especially if you are guilty or not when being questioned by law enforcement the only thing you should say is LAWYER!

“I’ll see ya up there.” Tony’s sad because of what they’re doing to Adrianna, and sad that he knows more and more at the end of his life he ain’t going “up there”

Also the camera work in the scenes in the woods, pans away from Adriana going upwards towards the sky…vs panning downwards towards the ground onto Tony. As the series is wrapping up, we’re seeing all the justifications Tony, Chris, etc. have made for what they do (like it’s war, we only kill other soldiers) keep turning out to be bullshit, like justifications for bad behavior always do over time.

Maybe you need to meet the writing halfway a bit, but I think the storyline is backed up by what we know about Adriana and by the stellar acting. She’s had exposure to the mob her whole life but how much does she really know? We’ve seen what lengths Tony goes through to keep things from his wife of 20 years and is largely successful at it. Plus Adriana routinely makes poor decisions, #1 obviously staying with Chris despite the way he keeps abusing her. She wrongly figured she doesn’t know much, they’d figure that out eventually and would leave her alone.

Like someone already said, it is a wild ride from here to the end!

So done with Tony. So done with Syl. Done with badda bing. I really liked Adrianna. She was soooo nieve, but she was Chris' ride-or-die. She had a kind soul and it was why the FBI could prey on her. And to see Tony and Sil trick her, man, that sucked. I knew it was coming, but it just felt mean. What was the point? To remind us again that Tony was a monster? And even if Tony is doing better, he's not really doing better. He's in this cycle of abusing and rewarding people around him who consent to the abuse. All these seasons in man and I am just tired, tired, tired of Tony. He's not a hero, he's not smart, and he's not sorry. He really is this big dumb attack dog after all. Maybe that's the point...we're getting gaslight and manipulated too. After a couple episodes we might see them just forget this ever happened because he had one or two good days? Or moments? Great show for the feelings it inspires -- not saying I dislike the ride at all -- but damn I hate tony.

Nope, Asia you weren't trippin'. In the dream when Gloria spoke there was a part you can hear Dr. Melfi's voice. :)

No, Tony is not a hero. The main thing the creator of the show did not want to do was glorify the mafia. That’s one reason he made the choice to have the young, pregnant dancer murdered by Richie. She was an innocent and he killed her in cold blood.

This is such a good episode. I remember feeling almost sick when aide was riding with Sil. You know Tony was hurting from that too because he cared about her.

Absolutely. The mahogany desks from The Godfather are replaced by bad lawn furniture and rundown backs of strip clubs and sandwich stores. The audience who complained about the lack of violence in season 2 got what they thought they wanted the rest of the way.

BJ is correct about how Christopher was seeing that family. First you may notice he was looking at his Hummer as he was filling it up and thinking he’s going to have to give up the finer things in life. Then seeing that family did it. They were wearing cheap clothes with a cheap crappy car, buying junk food at a gas station for a handful of rug rats. He was not wanting that life. She didn’t have to wear a wire, the deal she made on that was getting Christopher to flip and get him to come in by 9am. She was taking longer and That’s why that female agent said she had till 1pm. I honestly think there isn’t too much to the dream Tony was having. It was all a bunch of stuff that either Tony is thinking about, stressed about or feeling guilty about. And just general stuff going on in his life.

Yep. My husband and I were feeling this way too the last time we watched the series. It’s easy to get caught up in all the previous seasons liking all these characters or most of them. They can be funny or charming, romantic and love their immediate families. But in reality the bottom line is they are all scum. Thieving, lying, cheating, abusive, cruel, cold murders who really bring nothing of value to this life. You hit the nail on the head Potato Jones.

I remember the feeling of utter shock when Tony tricked Adriana like that. She was so naive. Christopher was incapable of loving her the way she deserved. The FBI used the threat of jail time for her drug use. She should have gotten a lawyer right away instead of letting them manipulate her into spying for them. She had no idea what really happens to “rats.” I personally think Christopher was already on his way to Tony’s when he stopped for gas. Adriana was most likely not able to have children and it didn’t seem like Chris wanted them either, so I’m not sure how seeing that family influenced his decision. She needed to get far away from Chris and all of them. What a waste of a beautiful person. Her downfall was her drug use and low self esteem. She didn’t think she deserved better. Sil was just doing what he was told. I’m sure it was hard for him. I don’t think it was hard on Chris at all. He was running around with other women the whole time and continued with the physical abuse even after his stint in rehab. I think he used her death as an excuse to hit the bottle again.

“Long Term Parking” will always get me choked up. Poor Ad. As much as I knew it was bound to happen I hoped it wouldn’t. She was niave and the feds used that to their advantage.
