I'm joined by Monty again to finish our conversation on the Knights Templar. Monty wraps up the history and we get into the nutty stuff; their post-breakup solo work, as it were. We discuss gnosticism, why everyone wants to be a Templar, Freemasonry, occultic traditions, and how perhaps the entire understanding of the order was a form of fan fiction.

Then, we end the episode with some of the weirder, stranger connections to the Knights Templar in modern times.

In my mind Crowley’s (I know most about him) “theology” has more to do with kabbalistic thought than Gnosticism. This isn’t that surprising, because most of the surviving gnostic texts we have were not discovered until after world war 2.
