Today's a fun one because I answer a Q&A question about how much of what we know about history is crafted into a false narrative. I go through a straightforward discussion of a few major gray areas including Stonehenge, and Heribert Illig's Phantom Time Hypothesis, and discuss the evidence for and against it. That opens up a very deep rabbit hole.

We're talking New Catastrophism, New Chronology, Velikovsky, Christoph Marx, Alfred de Grazia, and a Soviet spy ring embedded within a New Chronology study group.

Fun ep! Any clues as to what sort of search terms I should use to look into the Susness of hollow earthers? I’ve had suspicions about Fomenko because of the way his New Chronology just blew up with the Tartaria, mud flood psyop. You can do a google trends search and see a distinct spike when it was launched. Great episode, probably my second favorite in the Patreon next to the SoundCloud one. I didn't think you were going to make a whole episode from the question, and was only looking for a few of you thoughts on the topic but of course you went above and beyond. I do want to say I'm not a crank who think that time and history was put together in some back room somewhere, I was asking my question more along the lines of people not looking at historical authors and figures as regular individuals but rather holding them as pure neutral sources. You kind of hit the mark of how I feel when you said it is like the difference between science enthusiasts and actual scientist (disregarding bad actors of course.) Speaking of bad actors, I find the belief that there are more of them and liars in general than ever something that many leftist tend to not recognize. There is almost an oversaturation of talk about the same spooks and operations from the past, many of which were being sussed out even back then, but there is almost a delusional passiveness when it comes to the current day. As if in this modern age of information the 'ruling class' has decided to scale down its machinations instead of decreasing it. These losers are proactive

from what I can tell, hollow earth is a lot more of the Nazis and magicians than outright spies, but one that comes to mind is "Agartha" and -sometimes- Shambhala. that sounds like a fun podcast, lol

I actually thought I was going to talk about Fomenko when I started on this episode, it was the New Chronology I had heard the most about. I would still like to, perhaps, because yeah it's almost certainly a total psyop too, I just haven't looked at it too much yet

I didn't think you were a crank, but I know so many people do head off in that direction with "historical false narratives" that I figured I'd speak from that angle too. right? "delusional passiveness" is a good way to put it, when it really just means we need to stick to our guns and understand that its rarely good to compromise on key things

fantastic episode! its probably a longshot but i wonder if that kristoff marx fellow is related to chris marx, erika lukes husband, who worked for a time on skinwalker ranch also on the flat earth theory, i think i remember hearing on the farm's recentish episode on michael aquino that there was strong rumors that aquino started the flat earth society

I would freak out if that were the same guy. I'm assuming it isn't though because I think he'd have to be quite old for the dates to line up I've heard that about Aquino too. actually that's probably one of the main things that had me looking at flat earth as pysop in the first place, I believe

Re: feudal lords as gangsters, I can't read Latin myself, but I have heard that the words that the 6th century bishop and chronicler Gregory of Tours used to describe Frankish lords and their retinue were magnus and pueri, which literally translate as "the big man" and "the boys".
