I don't think I quite had the scale of this in mind when I started. When I saw the contest I originally began making the game for, I figured "eh, it'll give me some motivation to actually learn how to make something". I've never made a game before. My aim was to finish in top 10. Somehow, with major shenanigans and quite the shitstorm on TFgames forum, I finished... well... not first, but with the most amount of votes. I couldn't believe it. DOZENS of people loved my game. I felt ecstatic.

As time went on, I realized this is actually something a lot of people enjoy. Suddenly I've had HUNDREDS of people joining the discord, liking the game, sharing feedback. I was on top of the world. See, I always wanted to make a game. Not this game specifically but this was one of the things on my bucket list. Make a game. And I bloody well made it.

With web hosting, I finally have some perspective. Some of you may know, most probably don't, but tracking game downloads of a game like this is... well, it's a challenge. So I pretty much didn't. I relied on the likes and discord engagement to tell me the story. Now I have some proper analytics and... ho boy.

Yesterday we crossed the point where 10,000 individual users played the online version of Roll The Dice. I don't think I have the words in my limited vocabulary to express how great this feels. Thank you to all the players, and especially to my Patreons who make it possible for me to invest as much time and money into this crazy project as I am.

And all I can do in return is a promise I'll do my best to not let you down.

Love you all
