You don't know how much your content makes my days better Alch, happy holidays

Had a dream where I was telling Draymond to calm down and that he’s hurting the team. Asked him if he knew about your channel and told him you’ve been covering the Warriors for a while. Told him about trying to draw cheap fouls. I’m a Nuggets fan.

Is Podz already the Warriors second best player?? I love this guy. LOL finally the front office nailed a guy who can play next to Steph. Overall I totally agree with you here ALC, Kerr needs to understand he can't just sub Looney/Dario in for Draymond...especially Dario, ugh. That's what he's obviously trying to do but it's not gonna work, teams are too fast and quick these days. Can Curry and Klay still score without the screens of Looney and Dario? That's another issue and reason why Draymond was so important. Who knows really, the roster has holes upon holes. I have no idea what this team is going to do defensively (specifically in the paint), no idea at all, Draymond put them in a really bad spot.

John Pettus

I remember when the ball pinging around going from good shot to great shot was the norm and not the exception.

I just stared at the box score and metrics for 30 min last night trying to understand why Kerr wasn't playing Kuminga. He was being so forceful. When they were blitzing Steph in the 4th and Wiggs and Loon couldn't finish the 2v1 and Kuminga is just sitting on the bench FOR WHAT?? I guess you could say that he was giving him rest because he plans on playing him big minutes tonight but he is 21!! Like it is so confusing how Podz is getting 30+ min when Kuminga is only getting 21. I get that Podz plays hard but we need rim pressure and rim protection and Kuminga is the only rotation player who can offer those at all (don't get me started on TJD sitting while Loon smokes bunnies).

Andre Brooks

I feel like wins are a bad thing long term right now. We need to keep losing so the front office makes some substantial moves.

Anonymous

I would love to hear your thoughts on how kerr and the politics on this team. If you think he is gonna lose dudes in the locker room. Why are you even starting Kuminga if your gonna play him at his normal 20?He is trying not to lose the vets but you're basically telling him, no matter how good you play. You won't get the starting spot.It doesn't make sense to me. You bench him for 17 minutes straight but then sub him in for the most important moment in the game. It is head-scratching.If he is playing bad then bench him cool. But this current shit makes no sense.3 pg lineup was some of the worse shit I have ever seen.

JW

Can we just give Trace some minutes

Anonymous

Kuminga needs to be traded, we're just destroying his potential at this point, he needs a coach who trusts him, Moody as well. Trade them and get somebody who Kerr likes or move Kerr, but the ladder ain't gonna happen

Anonymous

It has to be personal between Kerr and Kuminga at this point. Kerr is doing him dirty.

Branden Edwards

Podz getting the start due to Wiggins poor performance might ironically keep Wiggins from getting moved because any GM worth their salt is going to want him included in the deal. The kid just plays winning basketball

AK

No joke man, our turnover game is truly elite. At the end of the game, up 2pts and Nets ball.. I thought to myself, we're about to lose another close one aren't we? I'm officially a pessimist this season

Anonymous

Like I LOVE Podz but you need rim pressure on the court with Steph and Klay. Kuminga on the court when you are blitzing Steph is buckets (if he is playing forceful like he was last night and not settling for 3s). It has to be personal with Kerr and Kuminga and I feel so bad for him. Just fucking with his money and future

Anonymous

Hey Alch love your videos! I agree with you I’ve never been one to bash Kerr but this year he’s been upsetting me the lack of faith in Kuminga is killing us. Kuminga is a player you have to nurture he’s going to make mistakes but his mistakes aren’t bigger than his triumphs like with Wiseman we gotta nurture Kuminga bc he’s our second best scorer and he’s proven that

Anonymous

Do you think its possible/realistic to trade wiggs, jk, and some picks for mikal bridges and nic claxton?

paul reboca sr

bro you aren't the only one who sees what kind of coach Kerr is. really man, he is a confidence killer for our youngsters. FREAKIN LOON+!

Anonymous

Really?!! I think Kuminga started off horribly and but he's getting better and better. I would not trade him at all right now. He's trending UP. His ceiling is really high and he's now learning to play with Steph (which is HUGE going forward). Definitely keep Kuminga and slowly build him up again after the bad start. Moody I'm kind of indifferent about, I feel like Podz does everything he can do and more....solid role player.

Anonymous

don't bet me wrond, I think he can be an amazing player, but Kerr doesn't like him for some reason so it's better trade him rather than ruining his future here

Anonymous

I think Kerr likes him. JK had a rough start to the season, his efficiency was way down. He's starting him now and getting better and better. Guy was playing 20 mpg off the bench and now he's starting with Steph, that's a big deal. He's gotta learn how to play with Steph and I think he'll get more and more run.

Anonymous

the warriors seem to consistently allow very easy shots..... thomas and dinwiddie repeatedly walked into very clean looks. They didnt even run plays to get wide open shots half the time. And the warriors themselves seemed content settling for absolute crap shots half the time. It seems like if they put any effort on defense and make an attempt to get reasonable shots consistently... theyd be fine.

Anonymous

I wish they would just trade Moody and Kuminga already. Kerr is literally messing up their financial futures by playing them like this.

Hey Alch, I like to airplay the breakdowns to my TV, but it requires either a YouTube link or actual streamable link rather than just the embedded video. Sometimes it's in the breakdowns like the suns game but sometimes not. Is it possible to include the link for each breakdown? Thanks!

Coreyy

Watching this game back and watching some other games, I think we aren’t is AS BIG of trouble as we think. In today’s “3 ball do or die” league, teams league wide are constantly coming back from huge deficits almost every night. It just looks worse for us cuz like Unc said, we’ve had so much bad luck in the clutch situations, and we admittedly have not been great in regaining momentum or making the big plays down the stretch. But we’ve been in literally just about every game this year so we shouldn’t feel totally outmatched, but the execution from everybody from Kerr down has to be better if we wanna get to a consistent level of play

Anonymous

Hit the nail on the head, Kerr is not putting his guys in a position to succeed. What is Looney gonna do on a nightly basis against the Claxton’s of the world? Clax was out jumping and ripping rebounds out of his hands. He’s at such a physical disadvantage nowadays idk why TJD can’t get a look. And why are you asking Dario to be the last line of defense? He should only play if Dray or TJD are in there next to him. Kerr had the guts to pull Klay at the end of a game and bench Wiggs, but he can’t keep Looney off the floor? The guy who has a reputation with not caring about starting/playing time? Is he just trying to keep Loon’s consecutive games streak going? I don’t get it either it’s just baffling why TJD can’t sniff the court especially considering he’s everything Kerr wants in a big.

Aben

I love looney but he’s been borderline useless rebounding hasn’t been there, he’s no longer a decent rim protector is horrible at finishing around the rim. He already doesn’t play a lot of min but why is he even play half as much as he is.

Mike Peterson

It's not just Kuminga, it's exactly what happened when Moody was on a heater (5 threes in a row, I believe, but 2 were waived off b/c of off-ball offensive fouls). Same deal with Klay in the 1st - he was playing objectively bad and stayed in the game. I don't think it's intentional, it seems predetermined. Kerr is subbing from a script. Patterns are set and exactly how many minutes you play depends on last game's performance (+ your historical contribution). That's also why TJD (and Garuba, and Santos) never plays - no history, no minutes = not in the rotation. But at least he's altering the script based on recent performance. That's a welcome change. 2nd unit Wiggs looks a lot better, maybe it's easier for him to know his role there (wing support in the CP/DS pick and pop). Podz and Kuminga are really helping us get out of the gate - remember how many holes the starting five dug earlier this season? Cautiously optimistic, I guess. I keep hoping that Kerr will remember TJD exists - he offers way more than Looney does at this point unless the opposing center is a complete ogre.

Unc Alc, love your vids! But what happened to making your videos on youtube? This new video player doesn't seem to load properly leading to lots of buffers, which sadly ruins the enjoyment :( not sure if this is happening to anyone else? Keep up the great work! lots of love from london x

athleticalchemy

YouTube blocks the longer breakdowns. Try streamable link that I post as the first comment https://streamable.com/fpful0 I will provide YouTube links when I can. As far as the patreon player. Check your mobile streaming settings on your phone or try a different browser on desktop. I apologize for the inconvenience

athleticalchemy

You might a nailed it with that.. it feels like a script. How can a guy who has been around the game this long at this level operate that way 🤯

Gary

Your vids only getting better. Maybe Kerr related more to Podz than Kuminga. Can’t believe we just benching Wiggins these days. Kuminga doesn’t have enough juice to overcome that

Anonymous

Yo ALC we been lost coincidence in kerr’s decision making.. Dude is a terrorist and the whispers are only getting louder Mike Brown as the actual brains on the coaching staff

Anonymous

Plays real smooth for me, I use Brave web browser, watch directly from patreon page.

yan't get right

The insecurity of Kerr and his rim protection fears is LOUD when it comes to Looney. I think it's ingrained in him that seeing the other team's rim-running big = his time to play his long-term ironman big who can switch onto Harden. Checkmate, bitches. It's like he'll forever die on the hill that they won in 2022 without a traditional center and he's still trying to prove that point anytime the opposition shows up with one. It means he might actually be anti-small ball, and pro-his version of it. A lot of things seem 1 step forwards, two steps backwards with this team.

Hg80

Kuminga and to some extent Moody, have to play perfectly for Kerr to even consider playing them over 25 mins. I pray the pressure turns them into diamonds rather than into lumps of coal but they’re logging half the minutes compared to their contemporaries. Meanwhile Kerr almost lost the game with Wiggins

Neal X

Good job guys we won this but Kerr's usage of the roster is just awful. The only way an undersized big like Looney is going to be useful is if he's faster than average -- and even Stevie Wonder can see that he ain't anymore. And guess what? We HAVE a high-energy guy who can fill the big man role, but Steve Windu won't let TJD even sniff the floor because he is on this Council but Kerr does not grant him the rank of Master.

Neal X

Watching Looney jackhammer the ball with pump fakes just to give himself a prayer of getting close to the rim is just cringeworthy man.

Anonymous

they gotta trade him that starting with steph shit means nothing if they are only going to play him 20mpg

Anonymous

Pretty important for the playoffs, too. One of the reason the Lakers beat us was they were making in game adjustments while the Warriors were only making in-between game adjustments. Unable to react in real time

Mike Peterson

The Lakers are a terrible matchup for us (after they retooled) and our shooting guards forgot how to shoot. But you're right, we probably win that series if Ham's rotations were this stiff.

Vulacior

TJD had 4 years in college. You get this guy cause he fills a need position and is further along, then u send him to G. Loon cannot be the only big on this roster.

Childe Costa

Totally agree with you Alch (and others). This scripted coaching is befuddling. But although it's just one game, there were some very positive developments last night. Better all around individual play (from everyone not named Loon) and better minute distribution (generally speaking). And I think we all also agree that this game bore an uncanny resemblance to the last several games (dominating for long stretches) with the inspiring difference that we we finally found a way to close this one out. Aside from Kerr's Loon "lunacy" (sorry, more bad Looney puns to come) I just can't get over how itchy his trigger finger is to pull JK off the floor. Is there anybody on the team (outside of perhaps Wiggs or Steph) with a better chance of getting to the rim and/or drawing a foul? Sure, he takes bad angles on defense too often and occasionally is in the wrong place on the floor but I've been VERY impressed with his play on offense in critical moments. Is it just me? How many times has he gotten us back on track when momentum started to tip the wrong way? Maybe I'm looking at too small of a sample size or maybe it's just pure coincidence but he sure seems to have a knack for getting us a bucket at crucial moments. I'm enjoying Podge, don't get me wrong, but it does seem a bit unfair to KJ (in year three and playing pretty darn good ball!) that night after night Podge plays 30+ minutes while KJ and Moody are lucky to get 20. Again, I'm not lobbying for Podge to get fewer minutes but for KJ doesn't 20-25 a night seem appropriate at this point?

paul reboca sr

Alch this is after the blazer game. i am starting to think that Kerr doesn't like Kiminga

Anonymous

Looney is thebiggest liability in the league right now.

k fish

Still defending you're hero lol Kerr doesnt like jk and never did, he is terrible
