Completely tangential to the Warriors but the fact that it's LeBron's 20th year is still crazy to me haha.

Jimmy Ji

Draymond will lose the support of Steph, Klay and Andre once they see that video. Besides those three, I'm fairly certain the rest of the team is ridin' with JP all day. On the flip side, its pretty clear Draymond has checked out just like how KD was in his final season in GS. I have no confidence Draymond will ever put in the same level of effort on defense for the remainder of his Warriors tenure (however long that may be). The less minutes we play Draymond, the more playing time we can allocate to our young studs. It's time to trade Draymond, his value will only continue to decline the longer we hold onto him.

dray really has ZERO self awareness. absolutely wild.

When Lebron signed his extension to remain in LA, I was a bit confused. They were in a terrible spot going forward given their lack of assets and contract situation. The Lebron in the past would of dipped to a new team, but he chose to stay this time. It seems like he no longer is too concerned about winning and adding more rings to his collection. I imagine his perspective has changed now that his son is getting close to being drafted. Lebron probably prioritizes ensuring his son growing in a stable environment over his own basketball legacy This may sound a bit premature, but it feels like an end of an era. Lebron no longer gonna be that boogeyman that you always had to face come playoff time. Father time and changes in priority are causing him to slowly fade away. Feels pretty strange for me since my entire basketball life has been filled with him dominating the sport.

Seems his whole goal this season is to pass Kareem in all time scoring.

Here's my thought on Draymond and I wont even address it anymore after this cuz I just wanna focus on the team and the game: The dude is straight up living the life he wants to live, and thats fine, he's earned it. But it does NOT mean that he is immune from consequence, criticism, or kickback. After they decided not to suspend him, I was disappointed, but joined the mentality that everyone was just gonna "move on" and we could go back to basketball. But this dumb motherfucker creates his own mini documentary about it, plays it on NATIONAL TELEVISION ON RING NIGHT, talks in terrible taste playing a victim and alludes to some "spiritual journey" that happened in less than a fucking week. I'm done with him. I will root for the warriors jersey #23 when its on the floor, just like any other player. Soon as he steps off the floor, he's just that idiot that punched a guy and sucks Lebrons nuts. Whether they win a ring this season, or even if he wins DPOY and shoots 39% from 3, I want him gone after this. I dont expect him to be gone cuz Klay and Steph will probably want him to stay. But I'm done with him. The example he set for the young guys alone was sickening. On to basketball: I was really surprised Kuminga came off the bench before Moody. I thought Moody for sure was gonna be right after Poole and Green. Loved what I saw from Wiseman. Still a bit rough but goddamn he has improved massively and its so exciting. Just the fact we have someone who can challenge AD without jumping is pretty awesome. Please stay healthy. As long as he never puts a 49ers jersey on, I think he should be free from the curse of that franchise. Curry lowkey played like trash and still somehow had 33-6-5 or something like that. But hey, he can do whatever the fuck he wants until April lol. Klay looked like he hadnt missed a beat since being injured. Love it. Wiggins. *INSERT DENZEL WASHINGTON CLIP HERE* MAH N****. I honestly thought his 3pt shot was a bit of an anomaly last year and that he would regress. Obviously only game 1 and it still could regress, but damn, this man actually saved the game with like 4 straight threes. Great defense too. So glad we paid him! Finally, Poole. Glad we paid him too and glad he can just focus on playing. The TNT broadcast just would NOT let it go and had to make everything about the punch, but Im glad Poole is so mature and can just play through it. And damn did he look good. Welcome back Alch. Nice to start the season with you again!

Dray has to put the effort though, without it he's not an NBA-level starter. If he's lazy, he will lose his starting position.

Think you're right Jimmy Ji, this might be nail in the coffin based on Curry's face or even better young Rollin's reaction to whatever Iggy's exact words were about the Klutch crew. Dray's lack of self-awareness simply has no bounds.

It's never been so crystal clear of just how easily Dray can be replaced on the court and in the locker room. That documentary was one of the most cringe things I've seen in a long time. I'm very excited to see how the young guys develop the rest of the season.

That mini-TNT-doc might as well been a trade request...

This is post Maple Jordan Wiggins. He's a free man

Shea Johnson

i keep reading it everywhere "if we trade dray we are not contenders", and I just flat out completely disagree. He's an amazing defender, the price for that defense is being an abysmal offensive player, particularly in the playoffs. guy punched our young kid in the face, is now trying to act like he is the victim, the team doesn't look like they fuck with his shit anymore, and his on the court production is just not great anymore, he is a nobody on offense that fucks up our spacing. Sure, he could be the DPOY of the year, but personally, I'd rather have a superior offense with the tradeoff of a slightly worse defense. get this bum outta here legacy don't mean shit if you're punching the kid who very well might be the future of the franchise, the kid you are supposed to be mentoring, in the fucking face.

That short moment with Dray and Bron at least may solidify the fact that Steph is no longer in his corner. Getting his signature on a trade looks more than feasible.

Jerry Heverly

I thought the key to this game was Pat Bev’s foul trouble. When he was on the floor they defended and gave the Warriors trouble. I’ve never seen a Kerr team give up so many layups behind the defense, not a good look. I wish JTA had a three point shot. He’s headed for the bench once he reveals his true brickishness. Predictions: Western Conf finals: Golden State vs. Clippers. Winner Clippers Eastern Conference finals: Bucks vs. Cavaliers Winner Cavaliers NBA champs; Clippers 6th man of the year: Kevin Love Rookie of the year: Banchero MVP: Luka

If we were to trade Draymond would you want a player, picks, or both back?

You really giving the Clippers the nod over the Dubs when they havent done ANYTHING yet. Sheeeesh. SMH

It would be ideal if Atlanta came out the gates slow and had a bottom 10 defensive rating. Either A). a straight swap with Collins (this doesn't fix the cap issue in the offseason though when the J-Poole extension kicks in) Or B. Okongwu + Bogdanovic for Dray and PBJ. Bogdanovic would likely be a 1 year rental and unloaded in the off-season but the trio of Loon, Wise and Okongwu would solidify the 5 long term. One could argue Atlanta is hesitant in either A or B exchange...Dubs do have the option of including their own 2016 1st rounder as a sweetener. (Before Detroit gets brought up, a surplus of young bigs, one they just traded up for in the lottery along with the Bagley large extension). Lakers were the hypothetical 3rd team for Dray trade, after what we just saw, there's no world their front office is trading their 2027 or 2029 to see a Bron, AD, Dray trio, they're not 1 piece away...they'll just wait for him on a discount in the off-season

*should be noted Bogdanovic is missing opening day with an injury and has been injury prone since his time with the Hawks, hence his value in the exchange

John Pettus

Disagree. It's not AT ALL clear that Draymond has checked out. During a contract year?

John Pettus

Did I hear that John Collins has some locker room question marks?

Dan Doerge

Right, but this is the gang that went for Russ. Who knows how much more stupidity is in the wings? What can theLakeShow give the Dubs?

Jimmy Ji

@John It's not really a contract year because he holds the player option for next season. If you still think Draymond has it in him to be a team player, more power to you. What do you think Draymond has to do this season to earn himself another big payday? Average a near triple double? Shoot 35+% from 3s at mid-volume? Is Draymond really winning a DPOY by playing 25mins/game and playing only 65 games? If Draymond achieves any of the above this season, we probably be hoisting another Larry O'Brien trophy but am I betting on him achieving any of those things? Probably not.

Jansen E

He's earned it. He's got his 100s of millions. Another championship would just be window dressing at this point. Nothing left to prove except obtaining an all time scoring record. I'd 100% do what he is doing if I were him. Living the good life in LA with basically unlimited money, preparing your son to enter the NBA. Sounds fine to me.

Bailey

Someone commented that LeBron is not too concerned about winning. Nope, he does care. This game was his Oscar reel. He probably has been practicing that "stare intently at nail cuticles" posturing in front of a mirror. He can't show that he cares about this game too much on Warriors ring night. He knows what his team looks like. It's Day 1 in his 20th year. It's a long road ahead and he sees the big picture. The wheels are always turning in Bron's head.

Yo Alch, Just figured out how to update my payment info (Patreon is kinda buggy). Now getting caught up. Great to be back!
