first!!I After this loss, curry and klay miss green so much. I feel like warrior without green, klay and curry are in the level of CJ and Dame!!!

Matthew Velez

Vimeo ain't working for me.

This was a bad loss

When do we hit the panic button? When everyone comes back and we still lose?

Erin Laskey

Warriors will be fine, they just need to get healthy.

Hey Alch, I like the new edits I the videos where you slow things down, freeze the frame to show something, or add additional context with words/text boxes. I'm sure it's a bit more work and will lengthen the vids by a little bit, but I think they're worth it for me. Anyway...rough stretch but at this point I only care about seeing how Draymond and Wiseman look going into the playoffs.

Anonymous

I know we are waiting on people to return, but I want to start seeing a more set rotation to prep for the playoffs. It doesn't seem like anyone except 11, 23 and 30 know their roles. There is too much experimentation at this point in the season. I know who I might choose but we should start seeing no minutes from JTA, Lee, Moody and Beli. I'm not sure where Andre fits in but we need to solidify the rotation in short order.

I really want to believe Kerr is trolling us. You can't have Steph getting double, triple coverage while Luka feasts with the ball one on one on with guys that are almost half his size. This clearly has to be a joke. I'd rather have Reggie Bullock go off than Luka. No one player should do that to this team - to make this even worse, the others weren't shut down too

Have fun in LV fam. Praying masvidal gets the job done

Go Alch! Maybe my fav breakdown yet, tough as the night was in real time. Specifics like Klay’s shooting hips - quality goods. His show last night convinced me he was actually sick, rather than mini-protesting no buyout acquisitions at the deadline. Seeing the need for Moses’ D, can he run point last night in 4th to let Chef be Reggie Miller some/more of the time? So good to see MoMo step up! Props to JP for bouncing back last night and working harder on D. I was listening to many advocate JP rather than OPJ to close game, but his D inconsistency is still real. Tough call. Continued gratitude! Go groove,

Thank you for perfectly expressing how I feel about Dwight Powell

Klay jacking up bad shots is also creating chemistry issues within the team. From what I see, there is no trust between the players. Guys are over-helping because they don't trust each other to defend and guys are taking a lot of tough contested shots because they don't trust someone else to make a shot. I think it was on KNBR where one of the beat writers suggested this team needs an all-players meeting to air out grievances. Do you think this team has reached that point?

I liked our fight, the energy we played with, but I felt like we were kind of getting disrespected out there. Too little, too slow, kept at arms length. Would have liked to see some more complaining from our guys because no doubt we were getting tossed around with nothing to show for it. I think it was a well officiated game overall though. Rough stretch but as fans we have to hold out hope, it's the only thing left to do. Humbling.

SAOpp

More often than not, Steph not sliding on D, turning his body and getting blown past. Is that because he can't keep up, or is that intentional to get offensive player to go one way into the help? See the same thing a lot with Wiggins. Isn't working, the help's not there. Should they be gapping more instead of bodying up?

Anonymous

This was tough. We really needed this one. I guess I'd ask, what do we do about the steph/looney hunting come playoff time?

I can't imagine the Warriors play recently is a positive advertisement for new recruits to Alc's Patreon account. This recent kind of play exposes the weaknesses in the coaching, the lack of foresight of the management and the fragility of the player personnel. These days I watch about 15 minutes of the game to get a read on how the Warriors are playing , and more often than not, fast forward to see if there is any change in the team dynamics. That and being force fed the shit-show TV broadcast - "that shot by Curry is a KILLER" ,etc, (even tho Warriors might be 15 behind and playing like crap) is enough to scurry me off to take another dabb. Actually , getting this analysis from Alc is the only thing that helps me survive a season like this. Thx! Alc The way Kerr continues to play Bellie makes me think he is either retarded or getting way to much Bellie on the side.

Kerr needs to commit to these rookies. They are top picks, they are ready to play! They have shown they deserve more minutes! Also NB needs to go, he hasn’t done shit for us. The experiment should be over

I saw a good loss…effort was there…the issues are well documented and luka was going off…some lack of cohesiveness here and there but i trust the main core…this is the type of season they’re going to have as they get older…strong start, injuries and limping to the playoffs…unless of course the rookies take off….

IDK! he is in his feelings in major way https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZcAmD2fYdsc&t=1066s

What you said about Poole seems to apply to many of the Warriors, a general disinterest in defense. I wonder if they are irritated with Brown/Kerr? Or maybe frustration from not having a big man who can be a presence in the paint? Losing leads to finger pointing and dissension, which leads to more losing, which leads to more dissension. But the pieces are there for a resurgence especially now with the development of Kuminga and Moody.

Anonymous

Not so sure. Curry been off since tailbone injury last year, Dray has a disc problem, Klay seems like he may not get his groove back this year and Wiseman is , I guarantee not playoff ready; hope you are correct and I'm blind to what you see..

Anonymous

i wonder how the relationship between Steph and Klay is, def gotta be hard to want to support Klay 100 but then have him cause some drag in the season, feels like Stephs laps in D stems from his days when he would have flurries and shock teams, now people are not fazed or really even scared when he hits a 3 that he is gonna get hot, he just isnt feared anymore except for a few games when he has truly go into GOD mode. like when trotts back on D after hitting a 3 he is in his head while the other team is pushing the ball. its easy to say when we are whole we will be better, and most likely that will be true, but given the timing of dudes coming back, willwe be good enough this year to win a chip? gonna be very interesting playoffs this year, seems like the last few years the parody in the NBA has consistently gotten really strong, pretty much since KD left, long term as a franchise I feel very confident, but like you said, this year is def no sure bet - ie i am concerned too, goes back to being so spoiled for several years in a row, its hard now to have fair expectations

athleticalchemy

haha got ride with the ups and downs! But if Beli is still playing with Dray and Wise back then Im willing to listen to any theory dirty theory you can think of

John Z

Exactly what's been happening, way too much free movement rather than controlled and concise movement within the offense, playing off of the ball action. All these flares and cuts are happening during other actions that makes it way too easy for the defenders to just sit. Just simplify things Kerr, FO, whoever. Appreciate the way you break it down for us. Great stuff as always.

Anonymous

Luka is impressive but disgusting to watch. Would you consider doing a "they can't call a foul if you do it every time" type of thing against him? Maybe to at least call the leagues attention when people stop watching the game that is just free throws.

The host of Locked on Warriors shared some very telling stats that explain the tale of two Wigs: Minn Wiggs versus GS Wiggs. Prior to Jan 14, Wiggs averaged 18.6 ppg. In that time, his shot selection was as follows: 3 pt 37.1%, Mid 15.6%, and in the paint 47.3%. However, since then he has averaged 15.5 ppg. Wiggs shote selection after Jan 14, breaks down much differently: 44.7% 3pt, 25.1% Mid, and in the paint 30.2%. Just watching him play, we cold predict this. Wiggs is his Minn version where he settles for difficult iso mid-range jumpers that he clanks quite a bit. GS All Star Wiggs, is posting up other teams 2s and 3, exploiting his athletic advantage, doing the same by driving to the basket, and taking good 3pt shots within the flow of the offense. He settles way too much for the mid-range jumper now, which is great if you are DeMar Derozan, but not so much if you are Wiggs. Doing the same with questionable 3’s. He needs to get back to half his shots coming from the paint. As for JK and Moody, D-Lee, Beli, and JTA should only see the floor in garbage time and those minutes invested into them. We are going to need their length and athleticism to make a playoff run, rookies or not. Need to get these guys as much work in real NBA games as possible before the playoffs. Same is true for Wiseman.

Nice breakdown of the #s… I agree Rooks need to be prioritized

Bailey

No one saw RealGM's tweet this morning? Wiseman is "highly unlikely" to be part of the rotation this season. A coach said this to Kendra Andrews. There's something wrong with the organization if they need Draymond to fly over to Dallas to light a fire under Poole and Wiggins. Steph's postgame comment: "take a page out of the way they were defending us and counter that" - yup how come this never happens? Alch, great point -- the defense has to start sooner. don't wait for the other team to bring up the ball. Nurturing the heat check -- they don't even do that with Steph. I hope MVP voters keep in mind that defenders are GENTLEMEN when guarding Luka but ready to commit homicide guarding Steph.

Anonymous

Neither Steph or Luka are really in the MVP conversation really. It's between Giannis, Jokic and Embid.

Anonymous

Glad to see Moody finally coming along. Somehow GPII still looks chipped up. Can't he sit out a few games to get right? He dit have a nice screen that he set. Klay.....when he's cold, it's like a turn over. But he always had that in him

Ken Bradford

Seems like a strong personality aka draymond is needed to kinda push the team into form especially def

Ken Bradford

Kinda feels like the team is just waiting to get draymond back

Anonymous

My total conspiracy theory is this… the longer they can keep Draymond and Wiseman out the less time other teams have to put together a plan to dismantle the Warriors at playoff time. We wont drop far enough to not make the playoffs. One thing that the Warriors front office is not is stupid. If they can pull out a chip at the end of this shit show, it was be the stuff movies are made of. They are having Steph play half-assed and Klay chucking up crap on purpose. The youngsters are getting some valuable game time, etc., but back in the lab they are cooking up something incredible!! Please let this be true.

Anonymous

Seems like every time he hits a 3, they go right back down and answer with one of their own.

Anonymous

Remember everyone was saying when Klay comes back it's gonna be scary? They were right.

Anonymous

I'd love to believe that but unless you have one superstar being able to carry a team through a playoff run ala Lebron from 2015-2018 then teams usually like to use the last stretch of the season to solidify their playoff rotation and get the chemistry flowing between those players etc. It is a pipe dream to expect Wiseman to jump straight into the playoffs and suddenly produce meaningful basketball. He's barely played a season and a half in the league.

Anonymous

I think you mean he's barely played a half season in the NBA. He got a late start last season and they shut him down early due to his knee. He's played 39 NBA games.

Andreas Wiedemann

i guess 3rd is better than 2nd seed right now

Bailey

"Ready to commit homicide" still applies in comparison to whoever
