Too early lol

JP reminding everyone why you shouldn’t give up on all players after their first season (or two). Everyone should keep that same energy with Wiseman

Anonymous

when is wiseman returning?

the story of this game for me was poole vs herro. there was a few back and forths between them, with poole having the final say with that emphatic dunk. what do you think the league wide perception is of the 2? personally i'll take poole all day but admittedly im a warriors homer. you mentioned herro getting more national attention but im wondering if that'll change after Poole gets Finals MVP this year :P

Hero is allowed to cook more.. but JP is becoming the better defender and is learning to play off the ball better

Kerr’s use of challenges reveals his strengths and weaknesses as a coach. He actually is bad at challenges because he doesn’t use them for x’s and o’s reasons (i.e. he doesn’t pick ones he is likely to win; he uses them to support his players (his coaching strength as a ‘people person’). He looks for challenges that defend his players. Challenging blocking fouls is a fool’s errand, they are too subjective, and I’m sure Kerr knows that. But standing up for Draymond pays dividends down the road.

I saw someone on BR say that they think Steph's shooting struggles is coming from the muscle he put on but we know that false cause he was lighting shit up the 1st month or so of the season... I almost think it's the overwhelming amount of love he was getting that's weighting him down like he's scared to disappoint... I need ppl to start shitting on him again so we can get revenge tour/evil Steph... Anywho the team had his back and the energy for the most part was amazing... And when Klay gets back...... Smh we bout to make this chip run...

Anonymous

I actually completely disagree on Steph's body language. I thought it was awful all night 😂

Bought tickets to this game 2 months ago thinking Klay would be back by now, the Cleveland game’s ticket was actually cheaper back then. 🤦🏻‍♂️

Thanks again Alc. Speaking of Jordan Poole, highly recommend reading Anthony Slater / Marcus Thompson IIs JP story that came out earlier today @ The Athletic.

Chris Cho

just ran into the heat in san francisco an hour ago and jimmy was walking around fine with no limp. ill think he’ll be okay

Patrick Kennedy

Yes! More of you putting words in people’s mouths, Alchemy…loved Belly and Killah on the bench…

Daniel Fries

that challenge allowed Draymond to play the rest of the game angry at himself instead of angry at Kerr. Probably won the game

Anonymous

JP’s got that juice man, you can tell he loves to ball.

Major Powers

Were you around when Alc used to do Klay Thoughts™? That shit was hilarious.

Major Powers

I fuckin love Poole. Dude's a weird character, too, gotta love his uniqueness. But he really is becoming a walking bucket that does other little things, too. Myers stole this kid at 28.

Gsw4L

No date set. Me thinks he's in covid protocol

Natto Santo

Curry's body looks a bit different from last season, his foot speed is slowing a bit?! It is affecting his super long range shots. But his defense is better now. I still think Curry is better than Poole as our closing lineup. One day in next two seasons we may see Poole/GP2 to close in the back court instead of Curry/Klay. Age always catching up.

athleticalchemy

IDK maybe because everyone else was play so well I didn't notice it as much.. he was dragging right after the misses for sure

Anonymous

A little Poole party before Klay returns! Let's go!!

athleticalchemy

father time! .....But I don't think thats it yet

Rob00

Is he really that much more muscular this year than last year? Because he really looked muscular last year, I don't know.. Sure he will return close to averages

That Poole in/out and jam ... I love that nastiness from him. Got me off the couch.

paul reboca sr

alc, i am wondering if Richard Jefferson, fat perk, and the rest of the warrior haters are feeling a little faded win after win. Go Dubs

Hey Alc. I just wanted to throw out my appreciation for the work you put in with the Hezi, these game breakdowns on Patreon, and the other YouTube analyses you throw up. Being able to consistently get an in-depth analysis of the games the day after has become a part of my daily routine. As a younger fan of the sport compared to most of your listeners (21), I feel like I'm really sharpening and refining my basketball knowhow with you and the folks who support you, seeing specifically in play breakdowns how baskets are generated, or turnovers rack up. I'm gonna go back to being a silent supporter after this, but I wanted to shoutout you and the community that you've created here.

Steph was getting some of the best looks he's gotten all season. We all know he'll be there for the playoffs - we're just in the doldrums of the season playing against a heavily depleted Heat team.

athleticalchemy

The timing of it was startling.. felt like it was just gonna be a slog of fouls and then blam!

Alc happy new year my bro. Hey, so how are you feeling now about JK's positioning relative to the rim for rebounds? I feel like hes just not nudging in there. Aside form that, I hate to sound like a mercenary but I am looking forward to the day JK takes all of JTA's minutes. Its time or almost time. Experience is how you learn, plain and simple. And theres nothing JTA should be able to do that JK cant. The reads, yes, I get it. Thats big. But I also see JTA out there and think of what JK might be doing in that situation. I love the man JTA, but lets get on with this

I don't remember the last time Steph missed so many open threes in a row... Anyway, I believe Steph struggles mainly due to two reasons: 1) There is a struggle within (mentally), usually happens when he is on the verge of breaking a record, a milestone, etc. 2)His body just doesn't feel right that day/week/month. His bad shooting usually goes along with bad finishing and turnovers. Hoopers will know that some days your muscle just feel weak and you are tired for no reason, you struggle to even catch the ball etc. I'm not a believer that defense can really "shut down" Steph, it may affect him but ultimately it always depends on himself

Anonymous

Kerr challenges to save a technical from Draymond. You see all our role players JTA, Porter, etc. spin the finger then Kenny goes to Kerr and tells him their salary and Kerr doesn't even budge.

athleticalchemy

Happy New Years brother! I think he is use to getting a running start.. but when he does put a body on someone he wins! I’m with you tho, it’s time!

Poole had something special for Tyler Herro

Anonymous

Perhaps Steph is struggling because he's focusing so much on Defense this year?

Anonymous

Best hands in the league? Hopefully that rubs off on James Wiseman.

Bailey

"Lowry......like a big burly bitch in a dark club trying to scoot his booty..." I laughed like crazy! Ever since Steph T'd up the refs his demeanor has changed during games. He's not as animated as he usually is. He doesn't get angry. He seems conscious of not reacting wildly to non-calls/personal fouls. Maybe all that thinking carries over when he's shooting.

Anonymous

Had me rolling on that conversation between Klay and Belly

Anonymous

You better not ever get on Steph's neck! That GOAT is untouchable! ;)

Anonymous

Looking at Steph's open shots, I feel again he is jumping far more than usual. This is the pattern that I've seen from 2016-2022 when he's in a slump. When he takes contested shots he intuitively balances his higher jump by doing all sorts of body contortions. On open shots he shouldn't be jumping nearly as much. We have enough clips of him practicing to know what his 'real' form looks like - he barely gets off the floor.

Anonymous

I think rumour around Steph and Ayesha's open relationship is true, and that shows in Curry's recent performances

Anonymous

The answer to your question concerning what the hold up is on Wiseman’s return. The recent research on the recovery from a meniscus repair is to avoid physical contact till the stitches become metabolized. When there is no viewable stitches on an mri. Then if there is no physical restrictions or discomfort on a game simulation without contact. He is good to go. Being super patient reduces potential reinjury to around 10%. The Warriors should have been more transparent about the timeframe.

Anonymous

My Wife is a rehab pt that works with pro and college athletes. That’s why I know the particulars. Low blood flow in meniscus equals really slow healing. Patience is key!

Omer Ali

A lot of the time, these big time athletic freaks unfortunately don't have the mindset to match their gifts. They don't like contact and using their athletic talent to dominate their opponents. That is definitely not the case for Kuminga. The guy is not soft.
