You're so good at this Alc. That point you made about Lonzo was one I noticed all game. He's not trying to hit any step backs. It's all a setup for the pass, or whatever. Anything but the shot. Great breakdown as always.

Anonymous

Was looking forward to this game all week, bittersweet that it was a fucking blowout 😂😂. My question is if you could be on any sports talk channel which one would you choose? First take, undisputed, the herd etc…

Anonymous

Best closing line: "Why can't we win the 'chip?!?" !!!

Anonymous

Kuminga learning lessons in real-time. Bit on the first pump fake. Then solid. This team is giving plenty of different reasons for optimism.

Anonymous

Another amazing breakdown. Loving this season so far and here's hoping Wise can be something solid when he comes back

Can't start playback from the embedded video for some reason, get a white box with this text: "https://i.vimeocdn.com/filter/overlay?src0=https%3A%2F%2Fi.vimeocdn.com%2Fvideo%2F1298860344-01fc01df37d7e8f0af62f1ce25356e0d73c345d94b2422d39_1280x720&src1=https%3A%2F%2Ff.vimeocdn.com%2Fimages_v6%2Fshare%2Fplay_icon_overlay.png" Tried three different browsers on the PC and same thing. Maybe it's a temp issue, don't know, it's never happened before.

“Finds da baby on the baseline” had me cracking up!!

yo, hard to not be hyped about our chances this year. given the landscape of the league and how we surging in a 15-16 type bubble of our own confidence and chemistry plus two starters to reintegrate with the right blend of star power, depth, and hungry/scrappy dogs, we playing champ level defense and no other team has two starters coming back with this type of momentum. i wanna see a 16-0 playoff chip lol. We really doin this. 4th quarter chill vibes and the must watch TV for basketball fans. we it.

Uncle Alch got our hopes high!! So.... probably the last 2 years were a blessing in disguise. Like Jordan taking 2 years off. The core guys has some rest (due to injury...but still). And now we have some hungry young guys in the mix. Hope wiseman comes back flaming. GP2 and JK developed great.....what about Smiley's development???

Anonymous

He's no longer with us but if he was, Dick Enberg would say of Kuminga's first real opportunity for significant playing time "Oh My"......and I love that he's gonna cut his teeth on a team where defending is the current coin of the realm to buy playing time. Pay attention Wise, pay attention.

Nathan Glanzer

Man this game felt GOOD. Everyone was talking about how the Bulls were gonna expose us and we had such an easy schedule and then we go and EXPOSE THE BULLS. Second half was nuts the Bulls looked like a JV squad out there. DeRozan and LaVine couldn't score and they are the highest scoring duo in the league! When I imagine Wiseman being in some of the positions Looney gets into and can't finish I get a little chubby thinking about how hard Wiseman will be able to yam those mother fuckers down. And JP is going to TORCH second units once Klay comes back. I wouldn't doubt we start winning a lot of our games when that second unit comes in. Future is bright boys! Let's get it.

Nathan Glanzer

I'd love to have Alch as a color commentator that comes in and shoots the shit with Colin once a week. I feel like those two would really play off each other.

Nathan Glanzer

And he got to the cup twice. Which is one of the few things this team truly lacks. A competent big man and slashers. Kuminga and GP2 in a second lineup are gonna eat kids for lunch in a few years.

Glad to see kuminga as the front for the breakdown. Most of us were somewhat concerned about the Warriors record was fools gold? is it real? That check box was answered. After that question, the next concern was how Kuminga would do given some serious minutes? Kerr decided to insert Kuminga during meaningful game time. So how would he fair? He did well. He looked good ! Everyone bites on a jump fake every so often. But his individual defense is tenacious. I think most of us, if we are paying attention, know there is something special about Kuminga, and that is why we are all so hyped to see him get some meaningful playing time. I just sense that he has the highest potential in this draft. I mean, my god he left his family and his home country at 13 to pursue a life in basketball... he wants to be great. It will be interesting to see him grow. Hes got this kind of aura about him. This team, all throughout and for many reasons is must watch entertainment. For the highlights, for the dominant defense, for Curry, for the growth of the young buck. Ooooh!!!

i was able to go to chase center for the first time last night and man, kuminga is scary fast in real time... team is getting spooky alc! great stuff as always bro

Part of me wants to see Steve get crazy with things and give Kumimga the start over loon in one of these games at the 5, or more like the 4 with Dray guarding the center. Would just love to see the rook get more minutes with some of the starters, especially with how so far most of his minutes have been in garbage time where he had been hunting 3s. It sure was better to see him attack the hoop this last game though.

Kevin Morris

Alch, let me quote you from episode 128 of the Hezi, "What we're going to see is Lonzo and Caruso are going to keep Steph to mere mortal numbers."  Let's recap Steph's numbers: * 40 pts on * 62% shooting * 53% from 3 * And +31 when on the floor When Steph is on, no-one can hang with him.  It takes elite double teams and team defense to slow him down and the Bulls weren't that last night. But yeah, if Steph was having an off night he could have been slowed by those guys.  He's been very consistent for most of the early season. When his team needs him he delivers.  If he gets hurt though, we're in trouble. This is why we need Klay back so badly.  Iggy and Draymond can run the offense but we need Klay's production when Steph is out or having an off night. What was surprising to me last night is Steph would come off the bench and immediately hit a 3.  I would think coming in cold like that would be hard to do. In the early running for MVP KD has the edge stat wise, but from a team leadership perspective it doesn't seem like the race is close as evidenced by the Warriors record.

Kahlil Baker

People are starting to wake tf up on the Dubs. They always talk about how KD was the man of the team when he came to the Bay but no one stops to realize Steph Curry took a step back and let the big baby feel like he was leading a team that Steph was already the leader of.

Major Powers

The shot of Steph's college coach smiling was so wholesome lol

Patrick Kennedy

What I love about what is happening, Alchemy, is that the pressure is completely lifted off of both Klay and Wiseman to be the Saviors. If all they did was come in and contribute, this team should be off the charts. I actually feel really bad for Steve Kerr because the rotations are going to be hard…

Patrick Kennedy

But I have a request: Alchemy, we/I need a DEEP dive into the secret of the third quarters, man. I just don’t quite get it. You’re watching the Hawks game or the Bulls game and your thinking at half-time: “Man, I wonder if we’ll be able to pull this out?” And then you watch the third quarter and they just DESTROY and DEMORALIZE them. What’s going on?! Is it actually their training and fitness? Like, the other team gets tired out? Are they doing something different than in the first half?? It’s almost every game right now, and its a mystery to me. When I’m watching, it’s like they suddenly are playing 6 on 5…

SAOpp

Alch, can't believe you passed up the opportunity to make fun of Steph trying to jam down GP2s miss when Caruso fouled him on the breakaway. Steph barely got his hand over the rim. Cracked me up.

athleticalchemy

Yeah I think we are kinda overlooking, or at least I have…the fact JP has been doing what he does as the # 2 on the scouting report..

athleticalchemy

No he has “it” … real easy to see. And while “it” isn’t everything, it can’t be taught.

athleticalchemy

Kerr would never disrespect a foundational piece like that! Nah I think it’s only happen if we were in some sort slump

Nathan Glanzer

It's cause our training staff has time to talk to them about defense and stuff. We always come in with great d in the third.

athleticalchemy

Steph is still getting better it’s crazy. I didn’t account for how bad the Bulls team D would be…. But here is a prediction for you.. Charlotte throttles us Sunday evening. First game of the trip, Steph maybe a lil distracted back home. We flexed on them recently and they appear to be heating up.

athleticalchemy

True true.. but let’s appreciate the fact that KD has probably extended Stephs prime 2-3 years by lightning the load while he was here

athleticalchemy

I thought it was half hearted .. plus I’ve picked on his bounce like what 2-3 x this season already

athleticalchemy

A blend of Steph understanding what he seeing from the defenders and teams using a ton of energy initially against all the movement. But some of it hast to be just who Steph & Dray are.. Wonder if it coincides with the sloppy starts.

Listening to the interviews it sounds like Curry knows exactly what it is, he just won't sau

Anonymous

Reckon Kuminga can get Loon's starter spot by All Star break?

Nathan Glanzer

I don't see why they wouldn't change it up based on the opponent's starting center.

Anonymous

I think a more realistic next step for kuminga would be to eat away all of JTA's minutes right away and take some of porters.

Anonymous

Nah I'm hoping that by the end of the season Wiseman will have the start at the 5 after platooning him & Kevon reg season.

Jimmy Ji

I heard a great stat on the Bay Area's 95.7 radio station during their weekend radio show. The Warriors are +106 in points differential in the 3rd quarter after yesterday's game. I forgot which year it was but we were very dominant in the 3rd quarter for a stretch of the KD years. I think they are just channeling that same fire in knowing they are better than other teams. Steph and Draymond knows their brand of basketball is the hardest to defend in the entire league because it relies so much on chemistry and high IQ.

Jerry Heverly

yes, I didn't get it until you pointed it out -- Belly is too conservative about his shooting window. He messed up that play at the end of the half because he passed up an open shot. I, too, want to know why they stink in the second quarter and thrive in the third. You all underestimate Looney's contribution. Bring in Kuminga at the six minute mark for Draymond. Leave Loon's minutes alone.

Anonymous

After Wiggins' hard drive it seemed like Curry was trying to hype the crowd for Wiggins' sake and encourage him. "You want Andrew to be more agressive Dub Nation? Then get hype when he drive HARD." Loved that little moment last night.

Julian

Jimmy, they have been super dominant in pre and during KD times in the 3rd Q. In the 16 season, the 3rd quarter was comeback time.

Anonymous

On the note about Steph trying to hype up chase center. I watched this one from outside on the big screen (great crowd) and observed as hundreds left midway through the 4th. One of which attempted to lead a “warrrriors” chant, which did not get the best response.

Anonymous

Hey alch, are you going to do a video on the Joe lacob interview. I thought it was a really great insight from the owner's point of view. Respect your views and love your content.

Anonymous

Chase centre crowd sucks

Anonymous

Wish we could swap Evan Mobley for Wiseman lol. Mobley’s season so far is how I imagined what Wisman’s should have been. Who do you think is the better player Alch?

Anonymous

He touched on it on the Hezi... Check out the podcast pretty good.

Philip Heston

Mobley is part of a rebuilding team unlike wiseman who is part of a contender so the offense doesn’t run through him, runs via curry…

athleticalchemy

yeah check the last ep of the Hezi, there is a segment. I meant to have video on youtube of it by my memory card filled up while recording

Anonymous

Yeah... check the Hezi!!! Another thing to look out for 🔥🔥

Ryan Mitchell

That Zach LaVine drift with nothin but net is soooo sweet.

Ryan Mitchell

I share some of your frustration Philip. It’s like ‘can we drop the excuses and just ball out please’. All can be redeemed this year. . . Fingers crossed.
