Rough one. Turnovers had me in disbelief even for Warriors standards

Shea Johnson

Tuff loss. Hate seeing steph struggle in the 4th when he's normally clutch as fuck. Thinking about that Miami game last year where he was cold all night long and killed them with two 3s in OT

Anonymous

seems like kerr's system just requires perfect precise passing - they always have great games where everyone's super careful of TO and have terrible games where passing is sloppy is it even realistic to hope that players can remain consistent in passing when the system itself is so high-risk? what do you think?

Bitter medicine but we got take it. i was really feeling the hate for this young grizz team. but like you said, they exposed us a bit and how we can still collapse after such a great start. i agree that the d on both sides was solid (pause). I def feel like we are missing a piece like you said in the frontcourt, maybe JWise can really be that cuz supposedly he has put on weight but it would be nice find some like Bogut again. I would have loved to see Kuminga get out there with that Memphis squad and show some bully ball. This season is gonna be real interesting as we start to integrate some big talent from our injured players. LOVE that you do this!! Thank you!!

The hope of this team having a deep playoff run or championship aspirations really lies on Jordan Poole (even when Klay comes back because really, there has to be a consistent 6th man that we know what we gonna get every night) and unfortunately, he's not taking advantage of the moment with bone headed plays. Looks like he baited everyone with those preseason performances. Still 5 games in, no panic but this is actually good. Losses brings out the problems more glaringly so hopefully, he picks things up. Not worried about Steph, he will find his groove in the 4th. Compared to his fellow guards that we know, he's miles ahead right now anyway

It’s really not it when ppl turn against steph off this game especially early in the season. At least we’re 4-1 and not 1-4 like last yr when steph is not at his best yet. Still early.

Siddhant S

Damion Lee out here looking like Damian Lillard and vise versa. Haha

It was a good loss….i liked our defense….we just need to find some offense when things aren’t going our way….finding that chemistry takes time…good vid!

Anonymous

They said that Atkinson hurt his leg working out and he wasn’t on the bench last night so I want to believe that we were missing him on the sideline as well..I think he plays a big roll in being the yin to Kerrs yang.

Anonymous

What KD said made sense. Kerr is stubborn. Complicated system even with medium IQ players given even with the Big 4, we were a turnover machine. They could easily offset it with offense. Players find it so hard to adapt to our system because we don't mix things up. The traditional PnR with Steph and Dray can be mixed up with ball movement. In the 4th quarter, let the stars be stars. I mean, one on one should still be a thing. Surround Steph with the proven shooters. If Poole can get his act together, he's also lethal one on one. Otto had no business on the bench late in the 4th, he was feeling it.

Anonymous

you have an elite 3pt shooter in Otto Porter Jr I'm surprised Kerr couldn't find more runs for him. He can also rebound and defend, and a good passer

Natto Santo

Jordon Poole just got too cocky while shooting like shit. He and Wiggins both have low Basketball IQ. But Wiggins know his place. Poole doesn't. He thinks he can make video game passes all the time, Also, I agreed just stop playing Looney, he is a liability on offense.

Anonymous

This team is missing a strong, athletic finisher who can get to the rim and playmake a bit. Alc, do you think it's too much to ask of the 19 year old Kuminga to fill that role?

Anonymous

dray with the shoulder strike on ja

Jimmy Ji

I understand our defense was great towards the end of the game but we sacrificed way too much offense in order to achieve that defense. We play Memphis 3 more times this season, why not turn the next matchup into a 3-point shooting contest? We put our best shooters on the floor and just chuck away. On defense, just take away the paint and dare them to beat us with the 3.

Andre Brooks

We have to start addressing Dray STARING down the person he's going to pass it to. He's already not an offensive threat so to telegraph where the pass is going gives ball hawks their fill

Major Powers

Looks like Kuminga will make NBA debut against the Thunder. That’ll be fun.

Hey man.. realistically, who do you think the nets could actually get for kyrie giving his antics, behavior, injury history, and not being able to play. I feel like more people want Simmons than kyrie.

This was a tough loss because it kinda felt like this squad had something special even WITHOUT 2 key players, but I think myself and others got caught up in the hype of finally winning games again. Not a problem, this was expected. Get wise back around 13-5. Size and a refreshing change, at least. Get klay back around 30-17 (just loosely guessing here). At the very least he brings gravity like no other. Sitting pretty amid the top 5 teams with a few months to get right. Enjoying the pod and the breakdown alch. Still in your prime!

Hey if we get a nice rivalry with Memphis I’m here for it. I love that team. Would be cool to have a series against em without the supreme burning hate we had for the rockets years!

Anonymous

morant was unstoppable. definitely a beast!

John Z

I just don't understand how terrible the Dubs are about simple shit sometimes. Draymond got to start at C, if he can't score or be a threat and Loon can't either it's just a negative period.

Poole has gone back to playing full petal to the metal every time he touches the ball. In the preseason, he started to change speeds, which made him more effective. He was also using some sweet floaters. Now everything is rushed and a bit out of control. He is reverting back to the old JP.

Anonymous

Hey Alch, does it seem like Steph starts the seasons kinda off? Before he broke his hand in 2019 season, he was only shooting like 26% from 3, and last season he didn’t get his stroke going until that 60 point game. So far, he’s only been efficient in that Clippers game.

Thank you for the words on Looney. Time and time again I have mentioned his inability to guard centers and heavily declined perimeter movement. This isn't 2018 folks it is almost 2022. He gets cooked from stepback midranges as much as Bjelica. His spacing on offense hurts. This is where I liked Oubre for his defensive versatility in small ball lineups. Otto Porter seems kind of unreliable from what I've seen so far on the defensive end. I wouldn't mind trying out Wiseman one more time in the starting lineup with a much more simplified role and see how well he can shoot 3s. The defense will hurt but we need to move away from Looney eventually.

No easy wins, no easy loss, might just be this way the entire season. Costco has large caches of solutions (aspirin, tums, sleeping pills).... Given the supply chain woes invest early for sanity later.

Vulacior

You mentioned DLee having trade value early in the season, after the lil incident with AD; Do you think Lee for Dwight could be possible?

Anonymous

Meant to say that I am also loving how they are calling the games like it is the 90's. So much better!!!!!!!!!! Everybody will adjust and the game will be even more fun to watch with less BS calls and stoppage.

athleticalchemy

The teams pace doesn’t help.. but he has. I’d be curious to see how he looked in a walk the ball game

athleticalchemy

You right.. quietly he hasn’t been shooting well yet… I remember more of Klays slow starts but my memory isn’t the greatest

athleticalchemy

Not bad idea for both teams.. but I think they want to see Wiseman first and I’m not sure they would deal with each other

athleticalchemy

I think kuminga can hang at the 5 against none post up C.. he’s a natural bully with good timing and bounce

Anonymous

no clue why kerr didnt call time out on last play. the defense was set ! Would see if player coaches could tidy up Kumingas defense so he could get some Looney minutes. Just some here and there. He will need game time. Is athletic enough and has shown moments of tenacity playing defense. Give him a few minuets here and there. Get him going. Better in my mind, even at this stage, than Wiseman... just dont use him at center, please mister Kerr.

Anonymous

Kerr should get Kuminga going as soon as possible. Even for little stretches, but at least some.

Love the vids! Any chance you’d consider doing gleague team videos?

I feel like this game was a blessing in desguise, like you said they have exposed our flaws, good game to go to the film room and debate. I like this rivalry we're building with memphis, since that situation with andre and ja, thins have been spicy, let's see how it rolls. I agree on Looney, every season I try to give him another chance but this is it, if we have championship aspirations he gotta go, hope that Wiseman has developed a lil bit since last time and turn into a contributing factor, but I'm keeping my expectations low.

Jerry Heverly

I don't agree with your assessment of Looney. He can't score, but his picks and general competency with plays makes him adequate at that end. And he does handle big men reasonably well. This game was lost by the guards and Draymond, speeding their way into turnovers. I'm sure they have applauded Poole's quickness, now he needs to learn how pick his spots. Adams pushes guys around, including Looney. Your solution is right, drive him out of the game with pick and rolls. But this game was lost by the ball handlers.

Anonymous

I think the thing about Looney is that you’re right that his upsides can make up for his downsides. But on this team, and the first unit especially, we’re hurting for more spacing and offensive threats when he and Draymond are on the floor. So I do agree with others that bjelica would probably be a better option at this point.

Anonymous

It was weird obviously I want us to win that game but after we officially lost there was a small part of me thinking "good we didn't get bailed out of an atrocious turnover fest by timely steph shooting again". I think we need this loss to refocus a little, things were working out a little too perfect to start the year

Anonymous

Jordan Poole getting freaky on LGBTQ night LMAO

Jello Smooth

First props to Ja… El Hassan Amin was prophetic…. HE (Jah) is what D’Arron Fox thinks he is. Looney deserves to be on the veterans minimum… and Marqueese must be a locker room ass… cause not retaining some 6’9 Size/athletic combo when they clearly need it… is so confusing.

Anonymous

To Steph not hitting as many walk off shots. I think we also have to acknowledge that few other great shooters have seen the amount to defensive pressure Steph has all the way out to the perimeter. The shot he took last night was over two people. But he has shown that he can make those shots(2019 Houston, the spurs series). Also, they've been such an often been this offensive powerhouse that they just haven't been in that situation alot until recently. But I'll admit, that 2016 finals did something.

AK

bruh, grizzlies just piss me off so much for whatever reason. Good bounce back today though.... an expected win
