stoked on the Breakdowns Alch!

Was just finishing the pod in the hopes you'd upload lol

That shot at Damian jones killed me at the end there. Thanks for uploading!

Genuinely good all around performance by GP2 and my oh my 12 steals and really only 6 turnovers (the 7th was an intentional 24 second hold at the end of the game). There is no question that in the 70's 80's and 90's teams with a low post mismatch would have feed that mismatch over and over until a coach substituted but modern players just can't help themselves they are not used to feeding a low post scorer.

Best team in CA? It's definitely great to have this distraction, especially with the 49ers look like to be potentially flaming out this year...

Anonymous

22-5 when dray scores more than 8 points….that’s the magic number…Also a couple of vets can really make a team better…

Anonymous

I swore my guy was gonna clown GP2’s interview (voice) after the game. Guess the Mitten balled so hard Alch left him alone - respek.

Natto Santo

If we drafted Ball instead of Wiseman last season, how we would turn out to be. But I also like what we have now. Kuminga, Moody and Poole will be good. Wiseman should be decent.

Jimmy Ji

At what point do we recognize Poole's talents and offer him an extension? Because it's definitely going to cost more the longer we wait. If Klay can fit in seamlessly upon his returns, does that make Wiggins expendable at the end of this season?

Branden Edwards

Great breakdown as always Alc. Was watching some of your early videos (reminiscing the good days of Klay) and just the progress you've made is amazing. Keep killing the game And btw Otto never played for the Kings. Drafted by Wiz, traded to the Bulls in 2019 then traded to the Magic last season

thank you :)

Ezra Abbey

this kings team is nothing like the kings of old lol, they played really good defense most of the game and were running pretty solid offense & movement. not gonna give walton any credit cause he's a dumbass but you def gotta give credit to the culture tyrese, hb and davion are building.

I could see SAC moving Fox and some pieces for Simmons.

Jerry Heverly

At some point some coach is going to realize that the Warriors are very vulnerable to an active big, a center, whatever you want to call 'em. Maybe Denver or Utah? I thought the game swung on the defense of Porter, GP2, and JTA especially in the fourth quarter. I wonder if Damion Lee gets even a brief mention in the scouting report yet he seems to be key in every game, hustle on defense, rebounding, and the three-when-key.

Some good lines in this breakdown. "Strokin it different...pause" / "Is that that bum Da-..." / *Talking about HB while showing a Wiggs replay* "Credit to his work ethic and becoming what he should be...Andrew Wiggins" / Good shit. The team looks good...I completely forgot that Sac knows Beli, but good to see Porter be effective without knocking down shots. GP2, in my mind, is gonna go from 15th player to 8th or 9th best up against guard heavy teams...it was a good move to pick him up and he might force his way into a guaranteed contract if he contributes to this depth.

"Captain Hook" -- lol that killed me!!

Major Powers

You remain the best media covering the Warriors. Blows my mind all the weak corporate trash we're supposed to just assume is the "offical" and "good" coverage when we've got homegrown coverage doing it 10x better right here.

i swear everyone raves about holmes "push shot"

Anonymous

still hoping espn picks up this content someday, incredible analysis and insight bro

AK

100% right on D. Lee being a valuable trade piece but I think the "brother in law" gimmick probably earns him some good will with the brass. lol, ol' boy chose well

Man Alch, I really gotta give you your props on that scouting report you did before the draft on Davion Mitchell, everything you said in that was on full display in that game last night. Spot on analysis as always my man. I actually kinda disagree with alot of the people wanting Wiggins to score more, I feel like he's better being a 3 and d wing who can get his own if necessary but I don't like it when he's too aggressive because he loves those bad long range pull up 2s. Just ignoring how much money he makes, he's perfect as a 15 to 20 point guy who defends the opponents best wing and can hit clutch 3s

Anonymous

Good call on Wiggs. Seems like he's just cruising at the moment, maybe he's not 100% engaged and/or healthy. Also last season he was the clear #2 option. Seems like Poole has jumped ahead of Wiggins or maybe 2a, 2b in terms of shot taking. Dray has clearly been more aggressive offensively also.

Anonymous

if this is the Dray we get consistently sky is the limit

Anonymous

I might not have seen it correctly and am making this up. But it seemed that when Carmelo barreled into Steph on a 3 pointer last week and then complained about the call it was an attempt to say that he had an unnatural motion when that wasnt the case at all. And basically now if Steph is moving while he is shooting the refs are kind of tested to distinguish something they are not mentally equipped for.. Not to say that Steph ever got the right calls, but now these bozos are now frozen.

Anonymous

seeing Barnes develop his game the way he has makes you wonder if we would have been better off in the long term if we had just kept the old roster in tact and not made the moves to get KD.

Anonymous

Davion Mitchell had an off night defensively compared to GP2. Steph and and even Poole were much less bothered.

Anonymous

HB looks like a person nobody else on a team talks to. Tyrese and Mitchell do take over.

Anonymous

Nice start to the season. The chemistry is definitely circa 2015 in terms of its feel good un-selfish pre-moody superstar era. The offseason moves were for the most part brilliant, save for one: they should have drafted Davion Mitchell in stead of Kuminga. K might be great in a few years but in terms of the "chasing wins" agenda, they let the analytics trump the feel for the game. Wiggins actually hit some clutch shots for a change but even in game one he froze up in the fourth quarter and he will always be a dude that needs someone constantly in his ear to step up and be the man he should be. JP is incredibly inconsistent and sometimes downright spastic but there is hope he can find some balance as the season progresses and he gets used to performing in non garbage time minutes. Still overall, its feeling like a return to relevance :).

Ken Bradford

The kings broadcast zoomed in on one player on the bench who was very familiar looking. I was wandering for a few hours until this video. It was Damian Jones lmao

athleticalchemy

thanks! you nailed tho "how much money he makes" that is why people are not content with a 3 & d wing role

athleticalchemy

wonder were he is at say a year from now with Klay back and Wiseman year 3.. could be option 4

athleticalchemy

I think they have been pretty good so far.. they have to understand drift and leg swing on a moving shot.. the lean in stuff just call it

paul reboca sr

now y'all starting to see what has been there all along. i must have a general manager mind, or i just have faith. CHEMISTRY AND FIT KENDRA ANDREWS THE LEBRON LOVER HAHA

paul reboca sr

alch all the warrior beat writers and the media were writing this squad off, but slowly but surely their acknowleding who we are, we are shampionships, haha. nor fur reals can't wait for Klay, Kuminga, and wiseman to come back, be blessed y'all

athleticalchemy

Thanks Branden! I should probably go back and do the same as part of getting better, Im more of keeping moving forward to the next type. So Otto was traded there but never played? could of sworn he was on the roster
